Great bowlo. Great outdoors and bbq area. Do be warned however if you want to have a day on the green with the kids for barefoot bowls. No kids under 12 on the greens which was a shame as my kids were super keen. Overall though great place for a catch-up or event.

Always had a fantastic time hosting events here. The BBQ facilities are clean and well maintained.
Michelle has been particularly helpful in organising University events, and even offered us a full refund when we had to cancel in advance due to bad weather forecasts. Will continue to organise events here.

I've been here a few times and I don't think I've ever actually gone inside. The outdoor area is just so nice and a quick game of barefoot bowls is always a fun way to pass the time!

We came to try lawn bowls for the first time, but it was so crowded, and we didn't know where to start. Ended up just having bags of crisps and cold drinks instead. Nice place, though - and dood drinks service.

This bowling club has come a long way in leaps and bounds since I last visited it over 20 years ago.
Sublime hospitality customer service from the young fellow behind the bar very welcoming,friendly,courteous and pours a great beer nice and cold,just what a mate and I were looking for early afternoon for a catch up great work.

Pulled pork rice bowl with pineapple salsa, with spring rolls and hoisin sauce,
was amazing, guys. I absolutely loved trying this. It was something I normally never chose. So, trying this was a great choice.

We had my 70th birthday here today, the staff were excellent, very helpful & friendly.. The venue & atmosphere were brilliant.. thank you for making my day special..

Highly recommend for functions or work get togethers / xmas parties. Relaxed atmosphere. Tasty food. Excellent variety of drinks!

Absolutely ruined my work party everyone's complaining. Confirmed and paid for food and they didn't deliver any of it despite it being confirmed and paid months ago. Useless management, useless staff and insanely unorganised. Do not book your functions here. You will regret it highly

Had a relative in a wheelchair. Entry into club was not user friendly. First door we came to was a sliding door which would have been good to use, except there was no ramp so this door couldn't be accessed by a wheelchair. The next door had access for the
wheelchair but had an opening door which is extremely difficult to use. Try opening a door and pushing a wheelchair at the same time. Also people were coming in and out every few minutes to pick up food or go to the bar - try sitting there at a table where every few minutes the door is banged shut. Couldn't wait to finish our meal and leave.

Went with a group of 20. Meals arrived with no fuss in a relatively short time and correct for all. Quality and taste was good at a reasonable price.

What a great venue! We just hosted a baby shower at Lowlands and it was fantastic. Great value for money, we were able to use their BBQ facilities that opens up to centennial park so cooking and serving food while the kids all played in view of their parents.

As a bowling club bistro, this was excellent. Food was delicious, totally relaxed atmosphere, staff were friendly and the service was great. Meals were ready quickly. All-in-all a delight

The usual beers and some pub fun. Burgers were good. Very touchy about the green and not happy with kids on it even though they have had market stalls set up before on the green!?!
There is a great play park right there but can't leave premises with drinks.

Nice local bowling club. Perfect for an arvo chill out and throwing some balls. Have tried some food here (burgers, nachos, schnitzels), it's actually good.

Attended the lowlands bowling club for a corporate Christmas party this year. Our Christmas party started at 6 pm, food was not served until 8:30 pm and were told at 8:45 pm that due to noise restrictions in the area, we either had to migrate inside the club where they had limited seating due to Covid restrictions still in place or we had to leave the venue. Trying to fit approximately 250 people that were seated outside into an indoor venue that looked to only hold no more than 100 people was obviously not going to work and unfortunately the frustration caused by this was to be expected. None of this was mentioned to any of the groups having their Christmas parties there also prior to the event and left many people furious. The staff were clearly struggling to manage patrons trying to enforce Covid rules however one minute we were being let into the club and two seconds later being kicked out because of numbers. This could have been managed better. Only positive that we could take from this event was that the food was delicious.

Great food and speedy service, even when it's busy with friendly staff to top it off. We highly recommend for an afternoon of barefoot bowls with friends, family and work functions. Top spot!

Nice location and chill atmosphere. Random adventure to go here, ended up running into a few friends, enjoyed some burgers. Enjoyed a simply tasty Royale with Cheese (I wonder how many places think they are smart naming a burger that) and a mate had the Fire Bird.

Staff are friendly and service was good, even though the place was busy.

Bowls was fun. First time I've been on a synthetic green.

Think I'll be back if I'm in Cooks Hill looking for something to do...

In my opinion, they have the best burgers in Newcastle, can't go past the firebird. Absolutely hit the nail on the head with the flavours here, simple and delicious. Maximum value with the Thursday burger special. Barefoot bowls is always a fun time, great for work events or even a just a Sunday chill. Don't get in the way of the local pro bowlers, they take it very seriously and they can get territorial over the greens.
