What a beautiful pub! We loved sitting outside and having a few share plates which were delicious. Fish cakes, Truffle Polenta Chips, Calamari and Croquettes (yummy).

Lovely midday lunch for Valentine's Day. Great pub, casual classic atmosphere and the staff is always friendly and accommodating.

The food is good; more than just your typical pub grub. We love the traditional baked dinner on Sundays and on other days the Guinness and beef pie hit the mark. And who can forget you can never go wrong with a burger!! And of course a cold one or two.

Great pub, great drinks, great food, great staff, great vibe. The beef roast was outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

I ordered a chicken parmigiana, on my table, there was also a medium rare steak and a London burger ordered.
The parmigiana was nice. Cheese was weirdly placed in chunks not evenly spread but overall was good and would have again.

The steak was ordered medium rare came put rare/ well done.

The London burger was pretty good as well

Drinks were cold and refreshing, and I would go back.

Great local pub in Balmain, friendly staff, great food, drinks and atmosphere. Dog friendly inside as well. Outside tables as well.

A great local pub for a steak n veg dinner in a comfortable atmosphere. We went upstairs where is was quiet with more tables available & found it kid-friendly for families as well.

Well it was my hang back in the 80s to watch blues bands. Popped for pre lunch drinks before heading down to The Fenwick for lunch. Tastefully renovated to the past.

If you want to dine with friends and family it's a good idea to reserve a table as it gets quite busy. (There is seating upstairs and outside too)

Great pub with a pretty good selection of delicious food. We ordered buffalo wings, 3 chicken parmigiana, porterhouse 280g steak, and kid's chicken schnitzel and it arrived quite quickly and was perfectly cooked and delectable. The staff was very kind and the food arrived pretty quickly. I would recommend coming to this pub.

Had a beautiful dinner here with my wife on out anniversary. We came back to the spot we first met 8 years ago. The food is fantastic and the environment is so friendly and relaxing. The service was perfect and the night was unforgettable.

Opening around 1870 the London remains one of the oldest hotels still operating.
Featuring a bar with indoor seating, an alfresco eating area
along with an upstairs restaurant makes this an outstanding proposition for lunch or dinner.
Excellent menu from calamari, cheese plates to start to fish and chips, steak, burgers ???" and lots more for mains.
Very good facilities, professional service and fantastic atmosphere makes this pub special.
They also cater for parties and other functions.
There's also a terrace to have a drink and watch the parade of Darling St.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, good beers and great staff. I expect a little more from the menu for the price, however - I tried the Double cheeseburger and was a little disappointed. It was large, but the patties were a little chewy and overly processed. A single patty made from good quality mince would be much better.

Great pub, service and atmosphere. I ordered the Duck Pie. It was sublime. Sat exceptionally well on my gut as a gf person. Definitely worth a visit.

Iconic pub... Well presented renovated interiors.. Great for drinks - But unfortunately the chef's don't know what fish smelling like ammonia means... The Fish is off! ... After first bite and spitting it out... Had to take the beer battered Fish n Chips back to the kitchen... After some convincing it was replaced with another dish... The Chicken burger was only a small portion for the price... This is second time in a few months had dissatisfaction with meal here... previously had a poorly prepared steak asking for medium rare got very well done... Sorry guys but not impressed. Will not be eating here or recommending it to others for meals. And I only live a block away from it. ??

Done up beautifully inside this pub has been in operation for 140 odd years. Also pet friendly and with a decent menu. The menu lacks vegetarian choices and that's somewhat unfortunate.

My fish and chips was nice and service was friendly. I will be back here again. It's in our neighborhood and a place I have come to off and on for almost two decades.

This is one of my favourite local pubs. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing. It's also pet friendly so lots of cute fur babies around. I love the outdoor seating. It's nice to sit outside on the stools with street view.

A great pub with a good range of beers and wine. Their steaks are amongst the very best in Sydney ! ! ! Highly recommended.

Such a great pub. Lovely interior and friendly service. We stopped in on Monday night for dinner, had the beef Wellington - it was fantastic ??'????"? will def be back soon!

Classic local corner pub. Great for people watching. Food is worthy of a visit in its own right, but better options at other pubs in the area. A few local craft beer options are usually on tap

An institution in Balmain always worth a visit and good meals and wine list
