We had a wonderful Father's Day. The sunset was breathtaking. The service is good, and the prices are okay. The food was super delicious. We had fish and chips and seafood! Highly recommended!

Sadly today we had a most disappointing experience at Carusos.
When we arrived there was obviously construction going on, hammering painting etc right in the dining area. Regardless we were looking forward to a seafood meal similar to what we enjoyed 2 months ago. Not much seafood on the menu for a waterfront premises. We ordered seafood chowder and seafood crepes.
The chowder was like a packet soup with random old bits of seafood, potato, chewy bacon and corn in it. The seafood crepes had horrible tasteless blended seafood mix. While the actual crepes were good the filling was horrible.
The service was slow, no specials on the board until way after service began.
So many red flags but we gave it a shot. Won't be back. Complete different experience than a few moths ago.

Fantastic location literally on the water at Lake Macquarie. We arrived for an early lunch and had our choice of tables. You can choose inside or outside tables for your meal which is an extensive menu choice with also three daily specials.
Service was quick and servings a good size. Our table ordered the roast pumpkin salad, squid, Vegetarian linguine, John Dory with side salad and chips. They cater for functions and the view is amazing. Great place to take visitors to the Central Coast without the hefty waterside price tag of other places.

Location stunning but that's where the wow factor stops. If you only want regular bistro seafood meals you won't be disappointed. $168 lunch included cheesy garlic bread, seafood tasting plate, chicken Schnitzel for a non seafood eater, Singapore hot pot and a seafood linguine. Tasting plate was ok with 3 very nice fresh raw oysters, 3 prawns, 1 small crab ball which was ok but there definitely must be a bargain buy on the squid. Heaped pile of lemon pepper squid on taste plate and fresh squid overloaded in hot pot and linguine. Crab in shell in hot pot was already cooked then warmed again in tomato base sauce so no real flavour there. Still looking for the fish pieces in both mains but absolutely no problem finding the squid. There were enough mussels and prawns in the shell scattered through dishes to give the seafood experience of digging around the bowl and needing to wash your fingers in the cold water bowl on the table. There is no problem with quality but don't expect fine dining here.

Great position on the lake, pick your time because can be very busy and noisy, Beautiful sunset.
Service fine but I found my choice of red snapper disappointing, the fish was tasteless and not enough sauce to counteract this.

Great place for a relaxing meal, inside or outside! Relaxing atmosphere! The seafood platter is to die for, however recommend you order in advance booking, as it sells out quickly! Good place for staff functions! Regularly hold our staff Christmas parties at this club restaurant!

We have been here before. The atmosphere is great. Right on the water. Drink prices are about average. My daufhter lives up this way. Although im from sydney. We all ordeted our lunch. Itseemed quite busy at 2pm for lunch. We waited 40 mins for lunch to start coming out . My daughter ordered medium rare surf and turf. From the menu. Once her meal came out second last to pur 4 meeals. She realised it was nearly well done and tough. She didnt wont to complain as she cpuldnt eat it. Considering its price was $55 i said let them know. She did. They gave her a new chickem snitty meal plus 20 dollars off and a dessert go once she left. Although she didnt bother about the cake. She was disappointed this visit. Hopefully it wont deter us from coming back. If you want lunch at 12 to 1230. Get in early as this place is really busy and parking is minimal in the main parking it fills fast and you have to park somewhere out in the street. If you find a parking.

Nice spot, had the seafood Platter and Bruschetta $196.90(public holiday surcharge) .I thought the Platter was small and the Lobster overcooked. The service was brilliant and the setting is unreal,so I would definitely return,I just wouldn't get the seafood Platter, it's definitely not worth it,and if the Lobster wasn't so dry. Maybe I'll have a steak next time. Once again,the staff are the best and the setting is next level

Pub grub at restaurant prices. Mains delivered to our table before we were even halfway through our entree. We had two mains, one was delicious with fresh ingredients (Singapore Seafood Hot Pot) but the other, (Whole Reef Snapper), the fish was well overcooked and like rubber, the skin tough and chewy and you could not taste any of the seasonings or flavours.

I went there for lunch on 14/09/2022 and I ordered the Beef and Reef the steak was amazing it has been the first place to cook my steak right in months ( medium rare) I've had steak house's that can't get it right!! I think the bug that is served as a topper was a little underwhelming compared to the steak who was the absolute star of the meal ? but the chilli coconut prawns were amazing and should be served with the steak I stead of the bug, my wife ordered the fish burger which was also great but it had melted cheese which was a little different and would of been better without. But overall it was a great meal and I'm still thinking of the steak with my mouth watering 3 days later haha

The restaurant has changed a lot from the fancy seafood restaurant it once was back in the day.
The food is nice, the views are incredible n the staff are friendly.
But sorry to say this, the staff, especially the chef's uniforms are putrid. My brother was a chef years n years ago, he wore white & his uniform was always clean.
Please try harder! Looks are important.

Absolutely beautiful place for a wedding although very hot in the sun, all it needs are a few large umbrellas or a retractable shade cloth for a bit of shade when outdoors for a special occasion ??

Lake Macquarie is one of the best locations on the NSW coast. This club is nothing like your average RSL or League's club, it's a marina where you have a drink, a meal and walk around the beautiful boats moored here. Watch the sun set. Nothing better.

Don't go Monday nights as you will be kicked out at 9pm. Food was good, hours need to be adjusted on google. We hadn't seen our son in over a year and was told to leave by 9.10pm. We left and talked outside, then we were told to leave car park as they were locking the gate. We will go to pub up the street next time, still has the great view.
Up date hours on google, we would not have come if we knew you shut early.

Perfect location with fantastic entrees and main course options.
The staff were fantastic.
If you are visiting in a boat as we were, there is plenty of space to tie up on the jetty.
Highly recommend this venue.

Our new discovery. Moroccan salad is worth the visit. Sooo good and a great location with seating right on the water edge with the sailing boats at arms length. Can't wait to go back for the Moroccan salad.

Great location food is okay. However when a table is booked for a lunch group you expect a dining table, as they normally have, not a bar table especially when the elderly and small children are involved like Mother's Day. If a normal dining table is not available you should be advised at the time of booking so you can reassess the booking of the venue. However we were advised on arrival that no specific table was allocated to anyone. Quite a number of very elderly customers understandably had difficulty negotiating these high bar seats. Front of house staff Sam needs much greater training in customer relations in a number of areas. I would not like to think that the greed of management was taking advantage of the day. Should there have been an accident with a child or an elderly customer as a result of being forced to use this bar seating/tables the litigation may have been more costly than the days dining profit.

Here for a wedding this past weekend. Beautiful views, weather and setting on the waterfront. Friendly staff all around from the minute we entered the venue. Props to Cordelia for making my Aunt's Wedding a truly magical afternoon and evening. The serving staff were the best you could ask for. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. 10/10 Recommended.

Bad experience for a venue which has been great in past.
If you have a wedding, great but hire enough staff and cater separately to regular Cruisers restaurant.
To have wait in que for over 20 minutes to order food and then be told sorry we have to cater wedding you will need to wait another 10 minutes in line, once we finally reached the front we were informed that the platters were sold out and had been since 5:30 (it was 7:00 by the time we got to order)

Looked nice, but unfortunately couldn't get in as one of our party did not have photo I'D. We came by boat. Understood why, but did not give us a chance to try to login... No problem. We left for elsewhere

Always a winner with this location. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is nice. The Club is looking fresh and new decking looks great. Nothing beats the view and the sunsets.

Great location, nice staff, beer prices are as expected but please update the menu. It reminds me going out 10 years ago. Myself and the kids had the burger. Overly processed meat Patties ruined the whole thing. Charge 2 bucks more and server proper meat patties. You have the right clientele for good quality food don't just rely on the location.
