Oh My Gravy!! This place is U.G.L.Y. BUT the alibi is the food. Sen-freaking-sational!!!! Pork bites; prawn cutlets; onyx rump; caesar salad - every single mouthful was enjoyable. Pork bites = perfectly cooked (not over, not under, PERFECT) & not just fat. Prawns = fresh, crispy & SO many it was a main. Steak = perfectly cooked, oh so VERY tender (normally keep away from rump & stick to scotch fillet but now......). Salad = crisp, fresh, no brown ends & to die for dressing. Lake Macquarie Hotel Motel you SO need to pay a HUGE thankyou to your kitchen crew - they literally MAKE your business. Bay Hotel Motel can only dream of serving food of this quality. Do yourself a favour on your next Bris/Sydney trip, go beyond Maccas/KFC & visit here for a taste bud delight!

First time visiting morriset staying at the lake maquarie hotel. Can i just say the food is WOW ??'? , good quality, tasty, big portions and fresh!! Chefs and staff all very friendly. Nice motel rooms aswell. If you are ever in morriset i would recommend trying this hotel you wont regret it! I cant wait to visit again :) thankyou lake maquarie hotel for your 5 star service and accommodation!

Worst place ever two weeks in a row ordered something and they stuffed it up last week. Ordered schnitzel with vegetables came without the vegetables. Rang up to complain and they did nothing this week. Ordered fettuccine got spaghetti. They don't tell you if they're going to replace something if they don't have it, they just replace it with what suits them Rang again this week, asked who I was speaking with then heard him before he gave me a name speaking to somebody asking them what to do and they told him to give me a fake name. I heard them. This place cannot be trusted worst service ever. I will never eat here again, and I suggest that nobody else does . !!!!!!!

Food is good and good lunchtime specials, someone said the sauce was a bit watery buy I never had sauce, burgers and schnitty good.

In Morisset on holiday and had dinner at the bistro. The pork belly bites are delicious, as is the Southern fried chicken. I definitely want to come back next time we visit the area.

Had Sunday lunch here 20/8/23. Service was quick and food was excellent. Premed is is a big dated but functional, clean and tidy. Good selection on the menu.

I like it. Food is good. They do some great meals. The prices are good the service is always with a smile. I've been there twice but I'm also checking out the area where to eat.

The staff seemed unhappy Saturday. The fillet steak was definitely not fillet steak. When we questioned the chef, he said you obviously haven't had fillet steak before. It was a ragged edged steak, nicely cooked for a piece of rump.

Not much to look at from the outside but when you enter the atmosphere is great.
The food was top shelf pub meals. My Rump steak was delicious and juicy and cooked to perfection. My daughter had the ribs and they were delicious and the meat fell off the bone. Great value for money. Highly recommended

First time visiting, the food was great, typical pub food you'd expect, done well. Service was friendly, relaxed atmosphere, not a swanky place but that's part of its charm. Will be glad to come back.

Good food although expensive. Staff very polite and friendly. The service was quick and our meals were very hot and tasty. No complaints. Would go back there anytime and recommend this Hotel for the above reasons.

I consider myself somewhat harsh when it comes to judging food, I think anybody can achieve decent quality food with a bit of passion, and I had high expectations going in.

Im actually really surprised with the quality of the food, considering the place is kinda cramped and dingy due to its old construction.

Tuesday wings and ribs, really nice, wings where a little basic, but they where done well, proper amount of seasoning and cooked through, the ribs fell off the bone, the chips where good, and I had the churro for dessert and they where HUGE, really really impressed.

Great food, extensive menu of pub favourites. Average prices. Open steak sandwich a must try! We'll be going back.

Beautiful meals!
Staying with my mother for the weekend and decided to go out for dinner. Top pick was Lake Macquarie hotel. Unfortunately my brother become I'll so we got take away instead. $245 order for 11 people and it was perfect. Everything was deliciously hot and fresh and they even gave the 5 children toys with their meals. 10/10 recommend. Will order here again.

Absolutely disgusting.
Myself and my partner ordered chicken schnitzels my topper being sour cream, Bacon, his being the meat lovers topper both with a side of mash.
Both schnitzels were burnt to crisp, the sour cream was beyond curdled and clumpy, tasted vile. The pepperoni on his topper was also off. The consistency of the mash potato was chunky and clumpy. We had a few mouth fulls and had to put our cutlery down. Unbelievable!! Never again waited an hour for disgusting food

The food is great and the schooners they use for the lemon lime and bitters so big lol amazing

Very disappointed! The barramundi cost $30 and was not fresh or tasty. The serving was not generous either. The rump steak and chips was dry and rubbery. Very poor especially considering the price! We will not be back. Wangi RSL is calling....

Kitchen staff rude and abrupt when approached about waiting 45mins for our meal.

Good fresh cooked food and the best draught beer around.

The food is always awesome and soooooo filling. My hubby and I come here weekly and the staff and whole atmosphere is very warming and pleasant. Love it

Average Pub food - nothing special. Toilets clean. They were observing Covid regulations well.

This pub has the most incredible food! Everything was fresh, great portions, great value, and amazing service from the staff! Would recommend to anyone who wants great food in a welcoming atmosphere.
