Well, it's wonderful what Google can do for you. I discovered this on Maps while on break during a conference, in Sydney. It's a magic 4 level pub with a roof top bar. I was in heaven as this place has craft beers ? on tap everywhere!! Very quirky ground level bar with animal trophy heads everywhere. Plenty of seating, including a few outside. On the in between levels there is the restaurant and kitchen etc. Rooftop bar level is fantastic with plenty of seating and standing options. There is a very convenient lift to use if stairs are a struggle. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's a very popular place for all ages. Although, the under 40's were prevalent. So the first time i order pork belly and chorizo and prawn pizza. and my friend order Pulled pork nachos

The Bar staff is very friendly and helpfull

The pork belly, i ordered it and then it was cold in the middle, they apologize for it and then they send it the second time its still Slightly warm, we didnt complain about it since we are already hungry

The prawn and chorizo pizza have a slightly fishy non fresh smell on the prawn. but the base of the pizza is good and crunchy

The pulled pork nachos is basic but too dry

Wouldn't come here again

Cool pub positioned nicely near 57 Hotel. Great range craft beers, cocktails and decent meals. Nice vibe and great place to chill and have a few.

The Sunday special, cocktails in a jug for $35 were great.
Food, excellent - value for money, portion sizes were huge.
We came here for lunch, though started off with the starters and that filled us up quite a bit (not complaining). The prawn and chorizo pizza, was amazing!
Venue itself, it's a hidden gem. Looks like an ordinary run down pub from the outside..... the magic happens as you walk up to the rooftop terrace!

Went to this restaurant based on reviews. Whilst it was still a bit chilly we sat out on the rooftop bar and enjoyed a quick dinner of fish and chips and a pie. Both dishes tasted lovely and were reasonably priced. Plant pots obscured the view a little but it was there. Nice atmosphere, interesting display of framed newspaper articles if you use the stairs rather than the lifts

Absolutely fantastic! Booking for our large group on the rooftop was a breeze. The service was top-notch, and the pizza was great. The venue was perfect for our gathering, and showing NRL on the TV was a bonus. Overall, an amazing experience - we'll be back for sure!

The pizzas on the rooftop bar were great! Great vibes and good for a get-together with a bunch of mates. Only thing I could fault is ordering a steak medium and receiving it well-done. Was still good!

Let me start out with the service, I was blown away with the standard that Keg and Brew upheld, I thought it was just going to be the usual pub service instead the whole team is always friendly and kind, Brittany had a bright smile and was extremely good at what she does, Poppy was exceptional as well with her kind greetings and a wonderful personality!! The food was great! Many options to choose from and endless choices of beers on tap and even more drinks. The aroma of the pub is definitely one to recommend to others, the rooftop especially!! Thank you Keg and Brew for some amazing nights and thank you Brittany and Poppy for being amazing staff members (give them a damn pay raise)

I had a great time at Keg and Brew! The food and drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up with old colleagues. The chicken wings were definitely a highlight of the night, but everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to connect with friends or colleagues. Overall, a 5-star experience!

Went twice for meals while on a business trip and the service was friendly and professional both times. I ordered and ate in the bar but there is a restaurant style room upstairs, which is where you have to collect your meals from. The food was ready reasonably quickly and was nice and hot. I was happy with the flavours and size of the meal. The only reason the atmosphere got 4 stars instead of 5 was that the TV's were a bit too loud. I would happily eat here again and would try the first floor for seating next time.

You walk in the front door and it feels like a bit of a normal pub, maybe full of "old mates".
Every floor you go up the nicer it gets.
Top floor is a lovely rooftop bar.
Food is great, great menu including wood fired pizza. Dining rooms are what you'd expect.
It's a place of mixed charms, old school pub on ground level, awesome rooftop bar.
It's a favourite for work lunches or after work drinks.

Amazing food tonight on level 2, pretty quiet, watching footy and loving our great food, however the staff member who came over to clear whilst we were still eating took our plates even when we said we were still eating AND just took my drink before I had finished drinking ? Really awkward moment and a dampener on the night. We get it sometimes you're in a bad mood but don't take it out on the customer? The other staff behind the bar were lovely, hospitable and we were really happy otherwise.

Serving size is quite fair. The eggplant parmigiana is ok, but a bit cheesy. Chicken isn't too bad either and cooked quite well. The fish and chips have good portion and priced ok. Very crispy and the salad is fresh.

The chips are so-so as one would expect from frozen chips.

Not very familiar with the pub environment so I wasn't a fan of how loud and impossible it was to get place. I got a steak special and we didn't realise steaks don't come with a salad for a side so we ended up with a hilariously empty plate (take note so you don't embarrass yourself like me...) The steak was cooked to perfection though so I can't really complain ?

Stopped by for a few beers on the rooftop on a quiet public holiday afternoon. The location is great, close to Central Station. The atmosphere on the rooftop is good too. The food looked fantastic but we didn't have any. The beer and wine selection is OK but not really craft beer. There were only a few brews that came from true craft brewers. The venue has multiple levels and the decor is really attractive. It would be great for a corporate function.

Pretty decent selection - at least 15-20 taps from what I remembered. Though plenty of options, taps here could definitely be better. No signs of Mountain Culture, Range, Bracket, plus many more great craft breweries Australia has to offer.

Had the Philter Juicy ($35 for a jug). Great selection of food as well compared to your typical local. Convenient location.

When I'm in Surry Hills for work, the local is Keg & Brew. Proper pub food: unpretentious, generous, delicious. Good value to boot. The photo is of their Monday special, chicken schnitzel for $12.50. Plus $5 for a stack of fries and you're golden.

If you like your lunch to be warm & cosy shared with a few stuffed animals then pick the ground floor. If you like a more open, modern space then the rooftop is the answer. The food was upmarket pub fare without the high prices.

The rooftop bar is a great spot to enjoy the fresh air and fresh brews and it's convenient if you've ordered from the Pizza Bar as it's on the same floor as the rooftop.
Easy spot to get to in Surry Hills, only a couple of minutes walk from Central Station.

Chill rooftop bar and has outdoor seating too. Lovely interior. Atm inside was also convenient and handy. It's also very near the central station so it was a good place for me as a tourist to drink and relax after a day of exploring the city ??'?

Been to the rooftop bar a few times and have enjoyed my experience each time. Each level is visually appealing and the stairway leading to the top gives a very grand feel. Recommend the wagyu beef burger over the chicken burger! Vibe was great

Loved the style of the pub. The decor was so historically interesting. The service and lunch menu very much to my liking. It goes well with a little serve of Guinness for a lady. In the company of good friends alike.

I've been coming to this pub for years - it's fantastic. There's something for everyone. Ground floor is for the beer lovers, dozens of beers on tap, and a cool, old-fashioned pub vibe. Rooftop is classy, and fairly new. Great for cocktails in the sun and good pizzas. The middle is for dining on classic pub food, and great for large groups - it's a huge space. The staff have always been friendly, and helpful with explaining and recommending drinks.

We're regulars here. Friendly staff, good food, good range of drinks. Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Occasionally gets a bit crowded if a big sports game is on, as it can be seen on their large TVs. Usually it's pretty relaxed and you can have conversations though.
Try the meat cubes and lemon tart. :)

Absolutely fabulous! Great ambience and atmosphere, attentive service with friendly staff. The food selection is broad and high quality. We had pulled pork nachos and it was delicious. Amazing selection of beverages. Happy Hour from 5 until 7 with $5 beer and wine. Great venue, bonus rooftop deck.
Such a contrast from when it was the humble Kay Bee Hotel when I worked there in the late 80's!

4.1 - Cool place to hang out with the team for lunch. You do need to book as it books out early! My lunch was delicious and very filling, but there's no table service for both ordering and for when the food is ready. (You gotta go upstairs to collect your Pizza or downstairs for all other food). A bit on the pricey side (My Salmon was $30). Other food looked good value though - Huge Pizzas for $20ish

I have been here many times and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. A great selection of beers, superb pizzas and friendly, helpful staff behind the bar and on the door. Very impressed by the high level of customer service by multiple staff. If you like sport the major games are usually on the big screen which is a bonus. Just make a booking on busy nights and you will have a good night.

Nice to place to hangout with friends,Had to book ahead due to covid restrictions, we got seating on second floor it was not noisy.Staff made sure we got our table easily and bartenders were very friendly!Would visit Keg and Brew again

Love love love the keg!Staff were friendly and helpful. There was one blonde cutie in particular, think he was the manager - recommended and made the best cocktails! It was just perfect on the super cute rooftop level.The tunes that were playing made the vibe even better. Food was great, I reckon the pizzas are the best around for sure! The friendly chef had the kindest smile, it just really added to the experience.Will be back for sure!!

The renovation is great, we were on the rooftop which is lovely. Food was great, we had the schnitzel which was the best I've seen in quite a while! Great presentation and really interesting looking menu with loads of options for lots of palates. Looking forward to trying more of it out!
