Amazing pub food now!! It's that great we go up there for dinner weekly now! So much to choose from and the variety is amazing! They have so many mad options for schnitzels and loaded fries and much more! Honestly couldn't recommend more! Got a few young staff and they all have great manners! This place is 10/10

Pain in the butt to get here to find they don't have food. Place smelt of smoke & white front door had months of dirty handprints on it. Went and had chinese. No wonder Aussie Businesses are failing.

Went to dine for lunch, the Thai food was delicious and well priced however the tables are placed in the Betting area with very loud volume coming from the TV screens televising the horse races. The smell of cigarette smoke permeates the room coming in from the nearby outdoor smoking area that isn't properly closed off. The 3 stars are for the food

Was disappointed to say the least, driving through to see some family when I came to the service station next door and looked up and it said "great pub food" walked in to see it was a Thai restaurant! With 2 pub options. Do not advertise pub food when it is not. You should change it to more pub classics and have a small Thai section on the side.

Looked pretty basic, we went in looking for food but no food on boxing day. TBH we spent about 2 minutes there and the locals seemed friendly but I see no reason for me to go back.

I only go into the tavern to get my Thai food. Every time I walk in I am immediately hit by the cloud of cigarette smoke that has come in from the outdoor smoking area and just sits inside the tavern. I can no longer go in this tavern because it sets of my asthma and that means my partner has to go in and get our food. Last night he went in to get our food, he was in there for a total of 2 minutes and came out smelling like a chain smoker just from standing in the tavern (not the smoking area) for 2 MINUTES! The worst part was the fact that there were little kids in the tavern eating dinner inhaling this for who knows how long. This tavern is a health and safety hazard and something needs to be done.There is clearly some sort of ventilation problem that the owners and staff are ignoring. This is not a one time incident, this has been an ongoing issue for over 6 months. Not good enough Kariong Tavern.

I didnt even want to go in but I had to pick up my Thai. The staff were extremely rude as well as the patrons. I was yelled at people screaming oi as soon as I walked in because I didnt sign in when there was no clear instructions to do so. Very unpleasant and ruined my night. Steering clear of this place absolute scum.

The Tav is full of pigs. Staff are all rude. The thai shop need to use its own entrance do the general public don't have to walk into the tav. Everyone is bogan and it's disgusting. Don't recommend.

Top bar staff

This is more a small bar with a Thai restaurant side door entrance. The Thai was nice and fresh and the waitress was very attentive to our needs but we really didn't feel like Thai and that was all we could get. The bar staff were quite rude and disinterested in customer service. Not a great experience after a long drive and just looking for a tavern. I have been to better taverns in the sticks. Get a cab and go to the Settlers Tavern in Gosford 15 min down the road if you want a Tavern. Didn't take any photos. Not really anything inspired it.

I have to split this into two parts. As there is a Pub on one side and the food side was the Thai Restaurant linked to it.

The Thai Restaurant was brilliant. The food was great and well priced for the size of the meals we got. Limited menu but we all left very full. Food freshly prepared. Shout out to the young waitress who was knowledgeable about the dishes, followed up to ensure everything was to high standards. Excellent customer service. They even ensured the Nut and egg allergies in our group were made aware of to the chef for meal prep and were catered to. You just couldn't buy any drinks here, you had to buy from the Tavern. Eftpos facilities.

The Tavern, limited drink menu. Mainly beer and spirits. Expect to be laughed at if you ask for a cocktail or spoken over when a local comes in. But at least they are friendly to the locals. Customer service was sub par and the for 2 lemonades and 2 shots of vodka we were charged $24.40. Beer was either a jug or scooner. No pints.

This review is a collaboration of all of our groups feedback. The stars are for the restaurant. If there was a separate way to review them I would give the Thai place 5 stars.

Mmmmmmm where to start. We booked for 12 people. .arrived there we were the only guests. ..we order..5 out of 12 received there dinners in abut 30 minutes. ..nor to bad for what we ordered. .
45 minutes later the other 7 meals arrived.
Over cooked. Tasteless. .one of the worst bistro. .pub meals in my life
