Stopped in for a pint of Guinness. Nicely laid out pub. Is similar in respects to true Irish pubs in Ireland. Guinness was good. Could see them setting up for some live music in the evening so seems to be a step back to the way pubs use to be.

We must have come on an off night compared to the other reviews. We had an average meal here the food took an hour to arrive and was par cold when it did. The potato and leak soup was bland and the twice cooked pork was very tough unfortunately. The gunness pie was good flavour as was the salad with pork bites

Quaint Irish Pub in the heart of town.. food and drinks on par with most pub offerings... warm and inviting on a cold winter night in Bathurst.
Went with a group of 27... The meals came out in good time and were generous portions.

Stayed here with a large group of friends, not only were they super flexible with our accommodation, but the rooms were spotless.
The staff downstairs were so hospitable and kind, always checking on our food and offering such a nice experience.
The staff made our stay so beautiful!
Will be back next year!

We popped in for lunch! Wow, the change is so worth the visit again since the new owners have taken the pub and patrons back to being hospitable, friendly, and filled with character. The menu with a traditional Irish atmosphere. So happy with service and food .

This Irish pub was a great find on our walk looking for dinner. The warm, traditional decor set the perfect atmosphere and we had a great time playing trivia. While the food was good, it was a bit dry, but the friendly staff more than made up for it. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we highly recommend it.

Such a fun vibe for late night drinks. There is always nice music and some cool people about. Never had a problem there with staff they have always been so lovely. Although the glass hole in the floor makes me think imma fall.
Honestly will never not recommend this place. The 3 owners are amazing. I've always had so much fun here

As a lover of Guinness, seeing this place given one of the only 9/10 reviews from the @guinnesofsydney I had to come and try it.
Believe me when I say, it's amazing and well worth the trip.
At only $10.50 a pint, you can't go wrong.
Not many places you get your beer poured by the owner and what a great bloke.
Loved that it was dog friendly also with a great selection of food.
Wish I was a local and definitely will be coming here every time I go through Bathurst.

A pub like no other, we will be back regularly! The staff were very sociable and hospitable, and kept our group entertained and looked after. The Guinness pie was the best I've ever had. The pastry, filling and sides were delicious and fresh, and the others agreed!

The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and affordable.. staff were amazing, super welcoming with the pub itself nothing short of entertaining with a super pleasant atmosphere..
thanks for having me, will be back again!! Oh don't forget the food.. the T-Bone and pepper gravy any day for me thanks... drools uncontrollably

Had to send back our meal, as it was not warm when served to the table, including steak vegetables and chips. The manager was happy to give refund, can't really reheat the meal and have the same quality as freshly cooked

Staff and location good, just a shame it came out cold.

This has to be the worst pub I have ever had a meal at. My rump steak which was supposed to be cooked medium rare came out like leather and I was unable to eat it. My vegetables were soggy chips. When I complained to staff I was told "just got a new grill and chef was not used to it yet". When I asked about the vegetable the staff member laughed and said "I don't know what happened there". No apology, no offer of money back, absolutely nothing. If you are smart steer clear of this pub, lots more in town worth a visit. If you are reading this please spread the word as I am.

Staff were great but due to a change of ownership the restaurant meals have been allowed to deteriate. Microwaved vegies and undercooked steak. Even the waitress agreed with us and suggested we might need to find a new favourite. This has always been our go to and have recommended to several that this place was the best steak in town - sadly no more. ?

Very slow service especially for a place that didn't have many people, as well as poorly presented food. Could get a bigger burger from maccas for less than what my mum paid for. Burger bun was burnt to a crisp as well as the beef patty. I had schnitzel, it wasn't too bad. Although more crumbing then the actual chicken

Had dinner here. Food was delicious, portion sizes were massive. Customer service was excellent, 5/5. Could accommodate for people with allergies. Plenty of high chairs. No playground but very kid friendly, lots of space to explore

Absolutely worth the stop. The history & the FOOD is amazing. Definitely worth to stop in & have a look & a feed. Great bar staff and kitchen staff. The food is FANTASTIC!!

Jack Duggans food is always delicious but you have to make sure you arrive with an empty stomach as you certainly won't leave with one. The serving sizes are beyond generous, the food is hearty and the meal area is warm and homely. One of my favourite restaurants to visit when in town.

What a gem in the city centre of Bathurst! Staff are incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. The fish was crispy as well as the chips and the serving in my photo is only the half size! Can't imagine how huge the full serving would be. The decor of the pub is quaint with Irish paraphernalia over every wall. Absolutely loved it.

Had a lovely dinner - was a traitor to my heritage and neglected the Irish menu for nachos, which were delicious though not completely fulfilling (it is much cheaper than the other meals though so would go well with a starter). Then went on to have the sticky date pudding for dessert which was amazingly delicious, though very rich so be careful!

The service was very good, the staff all very kind and friendly. Overall was a very enjoyable experience.

Have also stayed in the accommodation a couple years prior, which was a pleasant experience.

Best curry chip outside Ireland!

Myself and family dropped in last night for dinner. Very impressed with your Irish menu, brought back happy memories of home.

The staff were so lovely and helpful as we had our little dog with us, we got a nice table on the back deck. Dog friendly.

My daughter had a mini Sheppard's Pie and loved it! Especially the cheesy top. Ma's Irish Meals are wonderfully authentic, especially the liver and bacon! My own mother use to cook it for my dad all the time.

Looking forward to visiting again to try the Irish stew and Steak & Guinness Pie, I am sure it will be delicious. And more curry chips, of course ?

Food serving sizes are above average and it's nice
But if you stay here, make sure you check if they will have live music or not. It starts around 7 ish and will likely end at 12.

Lunch with friends at this eclectic Irish Pub. The decor was inviting and intriguing. The food was delicious and portioned well for a lunch menu. Tried Lambs Fry for the first time and would definitely eat that again. The service was friendly and helpful.

What an awesome spot!! Great service, fantastic food (I had the beef, bacon, potato and other stuff soup which was so tasty I forgot to take a photo:-) ) and then a soloist doing covers. Well worth a visit!!

One of only 2 pubs in Bathurst serving Guinness on tap, and the only one with Kilkenny (I think). Both poured properly, hearty meals from the kitchen. Plenty of room and usually puts on good live music. Wood fire in winter!

Nice enough place. Staff are nice, food is pretty good. I'm a kilkenny drinker and their kilkenny on the day tasted very flat and could be poured in 3 minutes which is just not right. Still, worth a look.

I stayed here recently and it was great. Friendly and helpful staff and good menu options. I had the Guinness Hot Pie and it was beautiful, no fatty bits. There are also numerous other eateries, including the RSL all within 100m. The pub has been restored to its former glory and looks great with all the timber work and funiture. Recently renovated bathrooms and the whole pub, including the rooms were impeccably clean. Theres enough room to park 2-3 bikes in the back court yard. Although not undercover it is behind a locked gate. Just plan ahead when someone will be in in the morning to get your bike out if you plan on an early departure.

Great selection of mains and desserts are very affordable. The rump steak was cooked to specification perfectly and was a quite a decent portion. I went with the sticky date pudding for dessert and it tasted like it was homemade, absolutely loved that! My fiancee and I recently got engaged and we appreciated the many congratulations and kind words from the staff. Massive thank you guys! Will definitely be back.
