I had the pleasure of sitting in the wonderful beer garden having a yummy craft 'Grifters' beer on a Friday night. I didn't' have food but I wanted to after reading the menu, mmm reads tasty.

This is a place I want to visit again. Hopefully I see you there.

Excellent food and service. I got the eggs Benedict and an iced coffee. Delicious.

Been here a few times over the years. Always a positive experience. Burgers are simple, yet great in all the ways it matters. Chips are crispy. Beer and wine taplist is always top notch. Great serving staff. Outdoor area is super nice. Highly recommend this one

Chicken schnitzel is arguably in the top 3 in Sydney. Perfect crunch but more importantly super moist chicken! ??'????'????'??

Lovely back courtyard very leafy and good music plus dog friendly (courtyard only). Food was good also had a potato gem Poutine and burger. Both were great. Children are allowed in the courtyard also but not in the front bar.

I loved the trivia night with Jarrad! He's super funny, good chat and he's very sweet. Love coming back here just for his trivia nights :)

Sadly no atmosphere Sunday lunch. The two staff member unenthusiastic. Don't know why they were there. Fish and chips good. Beef roast was odd - meat and veggies ok, however the Yorkshire pudding was a soggy mess and the gravy was very strange tasting.

Good atmosphere amongst the hussle and bussle of Alexandria. The cheeseburger was okay. The chips tasted different to other chips but they were okay.

After searching extensively for a good Roast dinner. I chose the Iron Duke, the Pork Belly was a disappointment. The crackling was undercooked and soft. The portion size was child size and the vegetables were over cooked. Don't waste your money on a poor Sunday Roast

One of the best old school pubs in Waterloo. They have rotating beers on tap and good weekday specials. Pooch's are accepted too

Whilst I was here, I had the on tap cider which was very nice and the fried chicken burger and chips which was quite yummy.
The iron duke also offers many craft beers on tap for those of you into craft beer. There was plenty of interior space for our get together inside and there is more seating outside to eat and drink.

Best bar I've been to in Sydney so far. The staff were friendly, accommodating and nice to chat to. The beer garden was very chill and a great place to have a couple drinks with my mates after work.

A nice pub with poor-average reasonably expensive food. We had the pork belly roast which had no crackle and uncooked skin and was excessively fatty, with not much flavour in the gravy; the calamari wasn't nice which I think came down to the seafood itself so it wasn't all eaten; the chicken drummettes were supposed to have a blue cheese sauce but came with their own cajun flavoured sauce sauce on them and another dish of bland mayo-style sauce with very little blue cheese flavour. My daughter didn't like her burger much; not sure why. Still, while the food is basic, it's a good place to meet and bring your pooch to the outdoor area and it has friendly staff.

Great local pub with craft beer options, good food and a beer garden (semi covered). It's got that old school wooden furniture but with a modern menu and beers. Definitely a pleasant surprise and a great local!

Nice beer garden, good spot for Sunday lunch. Our kids were outside playing with a toy aeroplane, there was no one in the beer garden, they weren't bothering anyone, just having fun. The barman told us they had to stay sitting at the table. Not such a family friendly spot despite them having lots of space. After this I would think twice about returning.

The courtyard alone makes this place worth visiting! Can't think of a better place to be on a nice, sunny day. Great tap list and food menu too!

Good tap beer selection and a nice terrace out the back, however I was really disappointed with the food. Ordered the "fried chicken burger" and it was mediocre. The chicken was borderline soggy, and although the menu specifically states "crispy" bacon, mine actually seemed undercooked. Overall just wasn't very tasty. A friend got the "cauliflower steak" which looked good though, and apparently tasted good too.

Great courtyard. Good selection of beer. Food hit or miss, depends who's on. Waits can be long on the busier nights.

Barramundi meal was perfectly cooked - juicy on the inside and super crispy skin, with delicious vegetables and pea puree. Generous portion for $35, and everyone we dined with really happy with the quality of the food. Great experience will definitely recommend.

Great place for a beer and a steak. The Griffs stout on tap is wonderful and the steak was cooked to perfection.
I'll be back!

Very good beer selection, with a surprising variety of IPAs. Willing to place non NSE beers on tap which is refreshing. Reasonable prices for the area. Pleasant garden.
