Walked 2klms into the Pub at Pilliga today for lunch at midday.
On the way in met Amanda, the Publican, who advised the Pub doesn't open on Sundays until 2pm. We advised we were hoping to have lunch. Amanda said no worries she would go and open the pub now. We were joined by other campers.
Great fish and heaps of chips with lemon and tartare for $10 plus a schooner of lemon, lime and bitters for $3.

Friendly service. Weren't serving lunch at the pub so let us eat our take away from cafe across the road, inside the pub. Beer was cold. Delicious Moscato. Great drink prices.

Great place to visit Pilliaga (camping at the bore) and pub is a throwback to the past

Great staff, needs more patronage from campers at the Artesian bore. Camping available at rear with or without power.

Great little pub to stop in, didn't try the food.

April 2022. Just want to let people know the pub is closed. We are caravaning and intended to stay there, but were not aware it was closed, and just want to make other travellers aware.

A great week of relaxing at this quiet oasis. Relaxing, drinking and eating all interspersed with visits to the Bore baths just 3ks up the road.. Meals excellent, room comfortable. Robynne and staff could not have been more obliging. Spend a dollar in the bush and meet an interesting group of locals and workers. We did.

We had a thrilling night at the "pub in the scrub ". Robyn and lady Donna excelled themselves. Nothing was a trouble, wishes we could have stayed longer but alas. John, Kate and Robyn have a great place. The locals were great as was the food. Recommend HIGHLY. Place this one on your to do list
