My son has previously come here for tennis camp in the holidays and enjoyed it until yesterday. Perhaps it has changed hands but he attended with a number of friends who all declared that it was truly terrible and they don't ever want to return. My son loves tennis so this was alarming to me. He said the guy who ran the camp was mean, rude, made them run laps constantly, would continually empty the basket of balls onto the ground so they would have to keep going around and picking them up. He would call out "horrible shot" if they missed, which was demoralising, humiliating and mean.
Some of the boys were crying when I came to pick them up which is really unusual. The whole car ride home they said the man just didn't seem to care, and didn't teach them anything - in comparison to the lady that has run previous camps who taught them lots of skills and played lots of games, keeping them well engaged. For lunch they are meant to have a catered lunch with a choice of 3 items from the menu but this time they were served up one menu item without consultation - so naturally all the kids just ate hot chips and left the food.
I'm not sure what has happened but it's unfortunate. The standard has dropped, and we won't be returning again. No one wants to pick up kids from holiday camp to see them crying and upset.
