Went drinking after work, and ended up in here aftar 11 pm... What a fun fun place.
Played house music from back in the day, and was Tune after Tune, after TUNE. Loved it. Was an awesome unexpected night.

We didn't stay at the hotel however did go to the restaurant. Honestly a great option for some classic American food as well as Aussie Pub staples. They also had a good variety of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Their gluten free burger buns were reasonably good and it was great to see that this was an option!
Great service, reasonable prices, would recommend.

I don't know how you can call this place a pub. If you enjoy the experience of being told that your $30 steak comes in only either Rare or Well Done and the accompanying salad consists of one type of leaf only (no other item) then this is the place for you. Also, there are tin-shed pubs in rural areas that know how to cook steaks, for less, and make salads that don't look like a toddler raided the Rocket patch. Harry's house wine tastes like it was filtered through a trucker's jockstrap, and they have not heard of pint glasses, so beer lovers enjoy an extra 20 round-trips to the bar per night. If you are lucky enough to get a the digital ordering system to work, or a "bartender" who can understand you, you are in for a treat.

What a Great Place for an Evening Meal.
Their Burgers are the Best, and we went twice and we all Enjoyed our Meals both times.

Entered the building and found the little reception area, the manger came over after maybe 5 minutes and got my room sorted but wasn't welcoming or helpful. Handed me the key to my room and then started speaking to the customer next to me. It's not straight forward how to get to the rooms so I was left a bit confused.

Eventually found my room and it was filled with dust on everything.

The room was tiny, you could hear the people below as the rooms are above a pub and the lights come round the curtains.

It felt unsafe and seemed like something out of a hostel movie.
I quickly left the hotel and got a room up the road.
Best decision I made.

Don't stay here unless you like dingy little places with no hygiene.

This place is either incredible or the worst. Last time I went it was like 5pm dinner sale time, and it was filled with so many people I had to slither through a crack to get bar service. It's so loud, that the sever got our order wrong. Good chips but.

i went to the opening night of the rico's taco takeover and had a great night. The hostess that welcomed us was so warm and the rest of the staff were so friendly. Definitely recommend going before the weeks up!

Disappointed by service of the hostess working the Rico's pop up upstairs. Despite being told by other staff. She wouldn't allow anyone to order and take the food downstairs or other areas and only allowed to strictly eat in the Rico's kitchen area. Even though other staff told me I could order and they would bring it to me downstairs. I was downstairs for the comedy night. She explained to me I could come back another night but that week. Despite being there standing right in front of her. I explained I had other things on and came tonight for the pop up and comedy. She said I could after the comedy which would be in a couple hours, even though I was starving now so that wasn't helpful. I alerted her to fact the kitchen may not be running when the comedy finishes. She then was like well the kitchen closes at 10pm.
Despite almost all the tables being taken anyways she was insistent on people sitting in her area.
She was extremely rude and difficult, The last thing anyone who is hungry wants to deal with.
Massive attitude problem. It's a shame as it's a great venue and all the other staff are great.

It's a pub, so if you're expectations aren't too high then it's perfectly adequate.
Location is good, not far (10min. walk) from Central station and Chinatown, close to Oxford Street and lots of funky shops in Darlinghurst. Lots of good eateries nearby.
The room itself was clean but tiny (would be hard to fit 2 people in plus luggage), smelled a bit funky, and the bathroom had only one hook for towels, no shelf or place to put a toiletries bag, and no shower curtain so water got all over the floor. Shower pressure low.
VERY noisy from music on the Friday night that I stayed there (my earplugs were nowhere near enough) but I had been warned about this so wasn't too put out.
Staff were very nice and very helpful. The lounge was kinda funky in an old school way, but the whole place could do with a lick of paint and some general refreshing.

The fried chicken burger was juicy and was served with fresh seasoned fries which all in all is great for a pub.

It was just a shame that me and my mate ordered the same burger at the same time however my food came out 10-15 minutes earlier than his. In addition, while looking on the QR code facility there was no none alcoholic options.... c'mon guys

Fun little venue with good food on offer and some good beers too. Rooms are tiny but nice enough but I'd argue is good value for theprice. And it was surprisingly quieter than I expected with the patrons and music downstairs. Great location with plenty in offer within walking distance including public transport

Reasonably priced scotch fillet, cooked nicely, with good fries and a little pile of rocket. Really enjoyed it. And they have a decent wine list, including wine by the glass.

The drinks were cold, the burgers were fresh. I went with the team and they all grabbed the beef and chicken burgers which came with generous amounts of chips. Had amazing value. I got the fish burger with a side of salad which was a bit disappointing; only a few stalks of greens with a bit of dressing.

Love the Place! We booked Diner room for one of our company meetup events. Kylie and the team was really helpful in setting up everything. The vibe is so chilled and everybody had great times at Harry Hotel. Highly recommend this place for casual/ informal meetup.

The burgers were fantastic, as were the lamb skewers (although I think it should've came with a side of chips)

Food is a little bit on the pricey side for what it is but the ambiance and vibe is great. Service and staff were friendly. Love the little booths towards the back.

I think if you were to lower the price of the menu by a few dollars, you'd strike a perfect balance. Although I understand, given the market etc.

Also, sour watermelon cocktail is goooood!

I had a great experience for my first visit to Hotel Harry. $37 jug of Stone and Wood, except it poured just over 5 schooners! After being given the incorrect food, the manager apologised profusely and refunded me instantly, replacing my meal with what I was initially after in the matter of a few minutes (which was amazing, highly recommend the Fish Tacos, Sweet Potato Fries were pretty great too!) Overall a great vibe for a Saturday night and can't wait to return.

So i gave this joint 3 Stars and here is why!
2 Stars are for the venue and its buzzing ambiance
1 Star is for the drink

As for the rest, service, staff and food.

Very poor, excluding the lovely security guy at the door who was smiling and very welcoming.

Bar staff had attitude, treated people like they were doing them a favour serving them. Except i think the new guy, well he was asking for assistance with the till and orders.

The food was pretty average, served cold and flavourless.

The guy who brought it out wasn't very friendly either, when asked for extra salt and pepper his answer was 'there is salt and pepper in it' and then walked off.

To be honest i only stayed until I finished my drink, I would've stayed for another but didn't really feel enticed to or appreciated that we were there.

My hopes are that this review is read, digested and action taken.

The borders are opening up, both domestic and international tourists are visiting our beautiful city and it would be nice for them to have a fun memorable experience everywhere they go.

Had an awesome time here with the missus drinking a bunch of different cocktails. Food was delicious. Great location and a really cool outdoor smoking area.

We hosted our companies 3x day workshop upstairs in the diner & parlour. It was a perfect setting for us as we were looking for a more relaxed space with some break out areas. The team thoroughly enjoyed being able to break out into the different areas of the venue including enjoying lunch and dinners at the pub downstairs. All staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help with any last requests ! The AV was perfect, wifi was fast and there was aircon!

I come frequently to Hotel Harry's (formally Harpoon Harry's I believe?). I like the laid-back vibe, choice of seating and fantastic burgers. Last weekend we held an open bar 40th birthday party in the upstairs 'Diner' room and had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the planning and communication with the event team, to the attention and accommodation shown on the day, we were very impressed and appreciative! The managers Jenny, Ian and Dan on the day were super helpful, friendly and so accommodating. The food was fantastic, the bartenders were lovely, and the overall we could not have asked for better service and attention. By far one of the best event venue experiences I have had in Sydney. Thanks so much!!!

A busy pub, serviced by good staff.
The food was very well prepared. The bar had a range of good craft beers.
The music was too loud for me, but the option of outside dining helped.

Great place to chill with friends. I didn't know this place until I was asked to meet there. I am glad to have visited and had a drink. I was in the smokers section with friends because they smoked. I didn't get to try the food there. I would like to try the food next time which is available in a different section inside of the venue, away from the rooftop smoking area.

If you want somewhere where you continually shout this is the place. It's odd affixed decor with each random "revolucion" just adds to the noise that attracts the masses.It's a very duplicitous place, each room adding to the irony. Cheap meal and smoking section up top on the outside. Slightly classier full cocktail inside. Half dive bar downstairs but only half of it.It's as messy as its patrons. Loud as its walls and confusing as its menu. The best seats are those outside near the sidewalk where you can breathe and escape the mess inside.No thanks.

Comedy there in Monday nights is dope. This venue has so much character Daniel Day Lewis should play it in a movie. Good beer, great staff and a particularly schmick smokers section.

What service!Great beer garden/smoking area.Came for the tacos stayed for the margaritas. The pork taco and the cauliflower taco were amazing. So flavourful. I wasn't a fan of the fish but my friends enjoyed theirs, so just personal preference. Great price. It's hard to compete with all the other places doing taco Tuesdays but I'll be back. Good job kitchen and bar staff!
