Not a bad feed. The seating areas include indoors and outdoors with a big tv to watch sports.

Great food, good atmosphere and reasonable prices

We had a great lunch here, very friendly staff, good food.

Food is generally pretty good.

I'd recommend avoiding the pulled pork burger.
It's basically a sloppy wet bun filled with tasteless meat and sauce.
I've been pretty happy with almost everything else on the menu.

Had an overnight stay, room was clean, tidy and comfortable. I left a personal item behind and they posted it back to me. Very thoughtful.

Nice architecture but bare bones. Large room included a small double bed, a column heater and 4 hooks on the wall. Mens shared bathroom missing a toilet and the shower was cold. Mens toilet downstairs is the pub toilet, but no light switch and urine soaked. Can be noisy between rooms. While the price was low, it wasn't great value or restful.

We were working in the area and thought we would drop around for a Friday lunchtime special. I had the Chicken Snitzel with chips & salad.

Stay here for one night. Room and bed are clean and tidy. Facilities look like they have been refurbished. Netflix etc avail on tv. Heater and ceiling fan available in the room. Room is secure and CCTV on the hallway. Toilet and shower are clean. Noise does come through but consider the age of building. Plenty parking available. Owner and staff are very friendly. Overall great value.

This little out-of-the-way hotel was a complete surprise. Great country pub ambience and food to match! Glad we stumbled upon this place and can't wait to return. Just don't tell too many people 'cos there aren't many tables! ??

Stayed for two nights, food was awesome, well priced drinks, rooms nice and tidy with easy access, lovely staff and nice locals. Loved the big screen outside for the footy also. Will definitely be back to stay and explore more of the town and outskirts

Stopped in for lunch,great food good beer price es and a happy hour on Saturday 2pm till 4pm.lovely under cover outdoor area and massive TV.will be a regular over footy season.

Food was brilliant - we had a delicious and innovative salad for lunch. Then we shared a full Rack and a green salad for dinner.
We asked for it to be served on the upstairs verandah which brought back memories of 40 years ago. The Rack was delicious.
The room was clean, bright and airy - all you could ask for!

Very disappointing experience. We waited for almost 2 hours for our meals to come. When they eventually did, they had our order wrong. The waiter tried to tell me we had ordered it the wrong way however we went back to our receipt and we had in fact ordered correct. No apologies for the wait times or getting our order wrong. No attempt at correcting our meals. Meal was dry and gross.

Outstanding customer service by all the staff, from planning the special event, right through to the very end of the night. Not one of my "special" requests, were a problem!

Had dinner last night it was delishious as always. I had the Barramundi very nice best i have had in a few months and we eat alot of seafood. Could i suggest galic prawns on the menu sometime as a summer dish. Great job Cheff.

Was travelling for work and stopped here ,I seen the food on the site and was looking forward to a hot meal ,but the kitchen was closed for renovations, had a shower and got in bed just fell asleep and one off the guest was out side making noise after 10pm on a Tuesday night and then set off the pub alarm ? and it went for 20mims it was not a goodnight, felt like would have been better to have stayed driving

We had a beautiful dinner here. The staff are super friendly and the locals are the same. Good old fashioned pub. We played the pokies and had a good win here also.

Service good, meals good. Coffee cup brought over to table with waitress's hand around top of cup and saucer in her other hand??? Just put a napkin on the saucer with the cup if worried of a little spill and carry by saucer only. Not put your whole hand around the mouth area of a persons drink. Cheers

Food was ok. Service was forced. The restaurant seating area adjoins the outdoor area, which is where food is served but they still smoke out there. In turn it just keeps coming inside to ruin the meal you paid top dollar for. And all those outside live in tents and you should be honoured to be in their presence....ask them

Atmosphere at pub awesome, cold beers staff great.
Meals however different story
Veggies need to be cooked not raw
Salads need to have a mix not just lettuce and dressing
You pay good money to eat here and get results of poor food

Meal was good, recommended. But another of these hotels that donot want to put Light Beer on tap. But have stubbies in an endeavour to appease us light beer drinkers and to be seen to be abiding by the responsible service of alcohol. So I will not be visiting this venue again anytime in the near future.

It was a busy night at the Holmesville Hotel with a 40th on out back.

The restaurant inside was packed too, so we were extremely fortunate to get a table for two so quickly and our order served just as fast.

Amazing food and flavours.

My Partner and I had an awesome n beautifully cooked chicken snitzel dinner, and the staff were super friendly and attentive, were also been back with a friend and had the fish,chips n salad lunch time special. Over all best pub meals I believe in the Hunter, you gotta try it n you won't be disappointed. Amazingly attentive staff n can't speak highly enough about the service we receive on every occasion
