Awesome service, clean and very welcoming, and the meals were fresh, tasty and well proportioned too, and the Thursday night Reef n Beef with a drink was fair dinkum mate!

Netty. Was. Here. What a little beauty this historical pub is; sat upon the hill in Heddon Greta since 1903.

I came to check out the lunch specials and boy was I delighted! Simple $14 Lunch Menu that offers big portions to satisfy any hungry tradie. I got the HGH Beef Burger and it was a deliciously loaded 'Works' style.

What did catch my eye is the Thursday Dinner Reef & Beef for $21 with drink. Now I ask chef the size of the steak & at 300g with creamy seafood and a cold bevy. My jaw dropped. You know where you'll find me on Thursday night. That's a great deal!

Here at the pub there is a pool table and tab/gaming areas. Plus large dining area. But what is top notch is the beer garden to the side set up with benches and umbrellas.

Friendly staff who are happy to accommodate and there is even a courtesy bus for the locals in the immediate area! What a ripper!

Great little local pub with delicious food. I heard it gets busy at night so we decided to stop by at 5.40 for an early dinner. We ordered the special (Bourbon steak) and the Aussie Chicken chicken schnitzel and both were cooked to perfection. The only thing is the restaurant smelled of cigarettes, which I think is because some of the visitors tonight might be heavy smokers.

Great little country pub, thankful it's our local. The nightly dinner specials are incredible value, Thursday night Reef n Beef is a must, comes with a free beer, wine or soft drink. Meals are huge and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Went today and ordered creamy garlic prawns with rice. The rice was disgusting I'd say microwaved. The garlic prawns were not great. Been before and it was amazing but this time was not great.not happy at all. It wasn't a cheap meal so not impressed at all today. Very dissatisfied to be honest.

We went here on Saturday 4th Feb for my friends birthday dinner at 7pm. 3 of us at a small cosy table. I had decided down to lamb cutlets and garlic prawns. And my friends lamb cutlets or snittys. We went to the counter to order and were told that there were no cutlets and no snittys left and there was something else too but we didn't want that regardless. It was disappointing that their two choices were sold out at 7pm? And the staff, not a smile in sight and seemed to have no interest in customers. This was my first time there with my friends raving about it. A star lost for each of these. We had our food and a drink and then left to go to the bowling club. Had 2 main things that everyone wants from a pub be available and if the staff just showed a smile (behind the bar especially) we would have spent more time and money there. Maybe it'd be different if it wasn't a Saturday night.. who knows.

Went for lunch, we had garlic prawns which were not too bad, the supreme pizza was burnt on the crust and soggy (watery) in the middle, yuck! The carbonara was so loaded with garlic it was sickening, the steak was supposed to be medium...it was rare! Still mooing. Will not go back unless they change chef's,as been there plenty of times and it's been great, a very disappointing lunch for $93.

Driven past here dozens of times but were invited to eat here with friends who moved to the area. What a great find, the food was delicious, the drinks were ice-cold, and the staff were friendly. Don't need much more than that...

Beer was cold, had the mixed grill for lunch, no need to eat for two days after! Meals were great as well as the staff, great old country pub atmosphere.

We have had the pleasure of dining here on two occasions recently. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the meals delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend dining here.

Meeting family for dinner at hotel Monday 21/6 unfortunately a young lad was sick in bistro eating area, bistro staff advised but to busy to clean vomit up �'� , however, the young lady working the front bar immediately took action after being advised while also attending the bar , her effort was outstanding, many thanks from a ex hotel owner, staff like you are hard to find �'�

Great pub go there on and off for quiet awhile great salad and food

My son has a gluten allergy and the chef Will is always very particular and goes above and beyond to ensure his meals are kept safe with no cross contamination. The food is always fresh and delicious and my son feels safe eating there knowing he will not get sick. Thank you for looking after us every time we dine there.

Lovely food and service! The girls who worked on the bistro 10/02/21 7pm were awesome. It was our first visit and they made us feel welcome. Definitely going back

Very consistent quality out of the kitchen. Have high quality meat.
