We were there for an interesting Opera Bites show. Interesting show. Venue's lifts were out of order which was a problem for one of our group. Didn't have the food but the bar was fine.

Have been coming here for ages, but today it was the second time the sunday roast was below subpar. Roast chicken had been covered in a spicy rub (that was not mentioned and isn't normally), Yorkshire puddings were appalling and more like a strange small muffin, carrots not baked but boiled (and not enough, along with the hard beans) and no roasted potatoes. Very sad to say my once favourite place for a regular Sunday roast has falling very far from the not long ago high standards. Think I will be skipping it now, which is sad for weekly attendees to say! Get back to the basics.

Two for One Saturday lunch specials that are delicious! Beautiful stylish decor, friendly informative service, great range of craft beers. Highly recommended this pub.

Lovely pub that's HUGE, especially for the Inner West. Great for groups, there's seating downstairs, outside, upstairs and out on the balcony.

????? on my pub rating scale. For a pub, I want a nice place to sit, a friendly bartender, some good options on tap, and descent food (that includes veggie options) This place ticks the boxes. And the balcony seating is a real bonus. Kid-friendly as well.

We went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. With kiddos, we waited a bit longer than we would have liked for our food, but ai think we just happened to place our order behind an even bigger group.

salad is a little too rich for me. fish and bacon inside the salad is salty.
beer and chips are both good, and I like the environment here. price for Happy Hour is fair.
staff are nice and frienly as well, her recommendation for beer is suitable for me.

Great pub, but the new decor suits a wake or a funeral. Or some sort of cult. Wonder what Gordon Ramsay would say about blocking out the light like this.

Edit in lieu of reply: Please confirm that staff are allowed to touch the curtains. They were warned that ownership forbid them to operate the curtains. If you could provide an in service on this complex operation as we go toward the longer days in summer this would be appreciated for our Wednesday night wakes.

At very late notice we had to move our outdoor wedding ceremony indoors due to rain, and Jason, the licensee, went above and beyond to accommodate us. He arranged the furniture in the upstairs space so all we had to do was show up and decorate. Everything was perfect and I can't thank him enough. Jason is truly meant for hospitality because he was so obliging and accommodating and turned a stressful time into the best possible outcome. Forever indebted. I highly recommend hosting your next event at the Harold, Jason and team were an absolute dream to work with.

Nice place and acceptable price. Food is ... Lets say the chief doesn't care about what you want and cooks what he wants instead.

I've alway really liked this pub. Friendly staff, clean venue and nice atmosphere. I used to really love their vegan bowl (it was amazing!) but now I've come back to see the menu has changed to have no vegan dinner options. I'm a bit disappointed there isn't a vegan main option especially in a place like the inner west ?
Otherwise a great pub

I was happily drinking a beer and watching the Swift's Vs Giants when a bar staff member changed the channel to 7mate, when I asked to leave on the netball he told me that the AFL was going on and nobody watches netball. Plenty of other screens to put the ago on as there were screens everywhere. The bloke seemed to hate women's sport.

Awesome local pub, Monday night Dungeons and Dragons with the Awakened Fables team is a highlight.

I went for dinner at around 8:30 on Friday night, and the barman told me the kitchen was closing already. The place is nothing but restrictions and wowser rules, the same as most other pubs. It's not even worth bothering about. And this is supposed to be nightlife in Australia's biggest city?? We might as well be in the outback!!

Found a new local treasure. Not only fab pub food but really lovely staff and a pleasant place to sit. Will be back

Amazing venue with amazing staff.
I have no bad words to say about them.

Held weekly events there for over a year and have never had an issue.
I highly recommend for an easy dinner or if you're wanting to hold an event in their function area.

We had a great family function here today. Everyone commented that their meals were excellent and Alex the events manager was a very attentive host. The kids-eat-free-on-Sunday deal is a fun bonus. We would definitely have another get together here.

Food was very "lunch special" but priced at the high end. Left unsatisfied and feeling ripped off. $11 tinnies just added to the feeling of being robbed. Bar person was nice, not nice enough to save it.
Not a sessionable venue. Very ordinary and worth avoiding.

Service is exceptional, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. On top of that, the food is great. Classic pub style food but it's all very well made

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Great new renovations made for a good, clean ambiance. Service was super nice and quick. Food was fantastic, schnitzel was delicious!! Alex, the manager, was super nice to us throughout our time there and all the other staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!!

My new local favourite! Freshly renovated with a delicious new menu - I've been here twice recently and love the food. They've got all my favourite pub meals but also some more refined mains and lots of delicious snacky things that go perfectly with a drink or two.

My absolute favourite is the hoisin chicken lollipops!! So addictive. My go-to main is the crispy skin salmon with roasted beetroot, goats curd and herb vinaigrette.

And, possibly the best part - their courtyard is pooch friendly!! Their upstairs area is also really beautiful and elegant, which is perfect for functions and events. I recently attended their Wine Dinner event and it was absolutely stunning. The quality of food was exceptional and staff were incredibly professional and lovely!

Will come back again and again.

Renovation completed and opened today!
Much improved and now a local we would be happy to visit more regularly. Nicely decorated and like the touches reminiscent of the history of the area.

Ordered Rump Steak and the calamari. Both nice dishes.

Pleased to see this pub reopen and back in use. Interested to see what (if any) events will be hosted here.
