We had the valentines day dinner and it was amazing. Seriously better than some fine dining restaurants we have been too. Surprising considering downstairs is a traditional pub. Kevin in the restaurant and Mary, the i owner are great.

One of the best pubs in Sydney! Every level has a different charm. The top balcony is iconic. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The vibe is excellent. The Harbourview is a gem.

Great old pub. Booked for a group on the terrace for a weekend long lunch. Up close view of the bridge and bridge climbers wandering past. Food was fresh, delicious and generous. Staff are friendly and accommodating, finding us a space downstairs after lunch, even though it was packed. Thanks Mary. You are a wonderful publican and made our visit a memorable one.

Name says it all - an excellent traditional pub nicely secluded away just shy of Dawes Point tip, under the bridge! Just minutes walk away from The Rocks' nightlife for those after weekly music and karaoke for Friday nights. Thanks to Leonne, Mary and the team for booking us virtually the entire outdoor section and the upstairs terrace is a must for those early birds. Generous happy hours running almost the whole night as well.

I booked the Bridge Room for a lunchtime event, and left delighted with the whole experience. The only criticism was that its acoustics necessitated a lot of raised voices in order to be heard.

The food was great: well-priced, it arrived promptly, and was very tasty. The drink options left nothing to complain about either.

At the end of our booking we were gently and tactfully evicted (ahead of the room's next function) and the remainder of the party relocated to the downstairs bar where we continued for another hour or two.

The staff I dealt with (in advance and on the day) were fantastic: friendly, helpful and fast, they are an asset to the place.

Happy to recommend the Harbour View. The name lives up to the expectation and then some!

A nice pub with such a great view of Harbour Bridge! Love that it's quieter & more chillax, and easy to have a conversation here. It's usually easy to get a table here too. I normally have a drink here, but the food menu seems pricey. They also have a weekend surcharge of 10% (on both Saturdays & Sundays), and public holiday surcharge is 15%.

Very disappointed with the food and service at this venue.

Firstly the food.. I ordered a lamb pie (the pub special at $34)..it would have been nice to have a pie without some form of animal bone in it... especially at that price point.

Secondly we asked the staff if we could have the volume of the sports turned up and the venue music turned down... the manager informed us that the venue music couldn't be turned down as it would "ruin the atmosphere of the venue"... given it was 6pm and they had Jessies girl from the 1980s playing at full volume in an empty pub I'm confused as to what sort of atmosphere theyre trying to create.

Amazing location especially if you're on the rooftop being next to the Harbour Bridge. Typical selection of beer taps. Friendly staffs.

Had the chicken burger ($28) which was sent back due to the chicken being slightly undercooked. The burger was then replaced but without the bacon but couldn't be bothered then. Chicken didn't have great crisp/crunch but was perfectly cooked and juicy (second time around). The burger didn't have much sauce to it and could definitely do with. Chips were decent.

It has a lovely view and location right by the bridge where you can enjoy seeing people coming and going. We had the chicken burger and beef burger and both were good, as well as the fries. They also have good lemonade.

An old building several levels up stairs and what a great view of the people doing the Harbour Bridge walk and overlooking The Rocks too. Food was great, just it's quite a small place and popular. We were tucked in a corner by the bar.

I wanted to try a vegan dish since I'm trying to be healthy ??

I ordered the Main - Roasted Eggplant 3/5
It's a good looking dish but it was literally just eggplant with some tomatoes and cucumber and this dish was $35.

Felt overpriced for me and it was very oily (it's probably the healthy oils) but I felt a bit sick afterwards and was hungry after an hour.

Wouldn't recommend this dish even if you're vegan.
The dish would have been more filling if they added mashed potato or sweet potato under the eggplant. Not just eggplant on its own.

A true local gem. This venue has it all. Delectable high quality food, nice cocktails, gracious and genuine service from all the staff and multiple well-presented function spaces for hire but nothing beats a cold drink on the pretty terrace on a sun-drenched afternoon looking out to the bridge and water views. I've hosted many an event there from large corporate soirees on the Terrace to casual team drinks in the Cap Room and most recently had my very own babyshower in the Bridge Room. Each event was seamless and the service provided by the lovely Leonne and her excellent team of staff (shout out to Kevin, Levoni and the skilled bartenders) was second to none and nothing was ever too much trouble which makes booking, planning and hosting events there such a pleasure. Standout dishes are the bbq prawns, oysters, scallops, arancini and the sirloin steak is so tender. Dinner in the main restaurant is a lovely treat and we were lucky to have enjoyed a meal there with our newborn just on Sunday so this venue is also very family friendly too. Highly recommend you pop in for a visit if you are ever in The Rocks area.

So the location, history and view from the terrace make this place worth visiting but the food is way over priced for what you get. Maybe we'll just come for a beer next time?

My wife and daughter had lunch today and it exceeded our expectations! Rooftop restaurant/bar was had such lovely decors! the wall paper and furnishings were lovely! The good was amazing!! the pumpkin salad wow! and the schnitzel our 3 yr old demolished! But it was the service! The gentlemen there (sorry was difficult name to remember) was very tentative and even gave our kid some colouring papers. Even a nice treat at the end! loved the surprise! Will 100% be back, and will bring the work crew with me again very soon!

Short story: Absolutely shocked at the quality of food and service the venue has multiple managers and nobody could help definitely has something to say about his position. Would NOT recommend going here for any level of food.

Long story: We had to wait 1hr 15 for our first meal to arrive. Further that we had to wait another 45 minutes for the last person of 6 to be served there food. Asked a couple of staff what was going on they said they would check it out, never came back to the table. Had to go ask for the manager, told they would come to the table, Never came to the table. Asked for the venue manager and told he was out.

Greedy pricing for the food (low quality, pics attached) everything is about $10 overpriced.

After 20years myself in the industry would recommend a serious overhaul of there service at the venue it's shocking and not Australian - how the owner realises his venue is being run like this and steps up, look at the other reviews they are mostly poor

Response:
Thankyou for replying, one of your wait staff did offer us a drink however I refused, after speaking to your downstairs bar manager who told me that Mitch was out getting bread rolls I left my number but was not contacted, she also said to leave a review here. after that I left the venue. So maybe it was another table who received these drinks. yes I understand it may have been a busy day for your venue, but after being referred here I can see it's not the first time people have been unsatisfied with the quality and price of the food you serve

Top location overlooking the Sydney Harbour with The Sydney Harbour Bridge towering above!
Slap bang in the historic Rocks/Dawes Point, area steeped in Sydney's early settlement history.
Good food, location and the tipples are mouthwatering. ☆☆☆

Classic, old-style Sydney pub located in the Rocks directly under the Harbour Bridge. Various drinking and eating options over 3 levels, offering views of the bridge and North Sydney skyline. Perfect place for a drink on a sunny summer afternoon, or as part of a pub crawl around the Rocks. About 10 minutes walk to Wynyard or Circular Quay stations.

I had dinner at the restaurant on the top floor last night. No booking - just a walk in. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, food was absolutely outstanding - an interesting mix of cultural flavours, menu was small but more than sufficient and the food was incredible, drinks fantastic special mention to Joe the new restaurant manager who is an absolute gem, and to Kevin our waiter who felt like family - both were standouts who really make the experience exceptional. Really cosy atmosphere and can't wait to return

Attended a birthday party here. Food was delicious and enjoyed by us all. This party was on the outside balcony and we were kept warm by the gas heaters. Our heater ran out of gas and was promptly replaced by the staff here. The did and bar staff were excellent. I can highly recommend this venue.

Came here for the restaurant but has a bar and nice games room. The atmosphere is lively and the fresh air feels great when sitting down and having a meal. The view is nice depending on where you sit. The food came out hot and was quite good considering the price. Portion sizes were decent and the drinks accompanied the meal well. Service was very responsive and polite. I do recommend.
