Very friendly local bar and restaurant. Lots of sitting both inside and outside. Kids playground is a big plus! Live music was a bit loud inside but we did enjoy listening it from outside.

What a bitterly disappointing experience. We were excited to come here as the food sounded good and it's got a playground for the kids (given we have 3 kids under 6 a kids space was absolutely necessary for us when eating out).

The food was good but unfortunately where the playground was located was right next to the gaming room and we were inundated with cigarette smoke the whole time. It was horrible trying to eat my meal while breathing in the smoke and worrying about my kids breathing it in.

I'm guessing the tavern has scooted the smoke-free dining laws and the smoke-free environment act 2000 by creating some sort of room that might pass as an outdoor room (lots of vents in the sides all pointing down or straight out towards the playground and outdoor dining, not upwards or the rain would come into the room). They have then placed this room directly next to the playground and outdoor dining tables. I don't know how they legally got away with it. Either it's an indoor room (illegal to smoke in) or it's technically an outdoor space that is within 4 meters of outdoor dining and within 10 meters of a playground.

Either way, they've designed these vents to vent the smoke directly out of the gaming room and straight onto the playground. Whether it somehow passes the laws or not it's terrible to design it to send their smoke away from them and onto the kids.

If you don't want your kids inhaling cigarette smoke don't go here.

In the photo below you can see the gaming room with a small gap between roof and walls and lots of vents. The outdoor dining wraps right around the turquoise room and the playground is just next to it. Blue circle shows where our table was and yellow circles show the vents designed to vent smoke onto the family area.

Went for lunch. I had surfer bird. Two moist chicken fillets topped with mussels and king prawns in a creamy garlic sauce. A fresh salad and chips on the side. Absolutely perfect and delicious. Thank you to the chef and staff for their friendly and courteous hospitality. I will be back. ?

Great bistro and great friendly service. It was steak night when I was there and although the presentation could have done with a bit of a facelift, it was cooked as requested and a generous size. Beer range was good and bar service was efficient. Nice tavern in this part of the world.

Ordered a marinated chicken, to find out it was marinated with only steak juices. Tasted foul. Gave you guys the benefit of the doubt and ordered desserts, tasted like how a fridge smells. Only ate it cause there's kids starving in africa

Really enjoyed last two nights for dinner and Trivia then Music Bingo. Food was good and plentiful with an interesting menu. Staff were very friendly and the courtesy bus meant we could enjoy a few drinks. Also Really liked the decor. Good work guys, good to see a business having a red hot crack.

The kitchen staff were chatting most the food was pre packaged not fresh we listend to the kitchen staff complain about somewhere they ate and how bad the food was. And then our food came out and it was average.

The lady behind the bar was absolutely lovely and so polite it is nice to see that in a person

Went to the Tavern for Mothers' day, the menu was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. However, we rang to find out if we needed to book and was told we didn't need to, but when we got there, all the tables inside and undercover were already reserved. Only the tables in the bar and the high tables outside were the ones that were available, so if going when special occasions arise, I would book a few days in advance.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff, especially the very kind young man, Oscar, who was extremely helpful and very pleasant.
Food was an eating sensation for a pub.
The publican (Guy) should be extremely proud of his staff and the cheif.
We had a very enjoyable afternoon at the Hallidays Point Tavern.

Great location, amazing staff and obviously quite popular. Got a very well done steak for the surf & turf. Seafood was great but the steak was well and truly overcooked and dry. Other than that, we had a brilliant evening!
*Note: watch out for the over friendly kookaburra who poses for selfies!!

We went early on a Saturday (5pm) before it got super busy (which it did). Food was absolutely delicious (four meals) and service was friendly.
Kids playground could do with a shade cover during the day and for the child-proof lock to be fixed.

The food was delicious, service was great and all the staff were very friendly.

The staff were well presented and polite, one thing we noticed that all patrons were welcomed on arrival and thanked when leaving.
Our meals were amazing and our children loved the food on the kids menu.

The food was delicious and prices are good for the amount of food which is awesome. The staff were the best part of the experience as they were attentive and amazing to deal with. The kids' playground and play room were great to have and it was great to have the kids play whilst we took a load off with a drink or two after a great feed. We'll definitely be back again. Thanks.

Great food excellent service. The food and servings are fantastic. The chicken parma chips and salad was perfect even the smokeyness of the top quality ham really highlighted the dish. The pepper sauce still needs a lot of work not the best sauce recipe. I would definitely come back again.

If you want a meal that is your average pub food then you won't be disappointed. If you're expecting something better than 3 stars then look elsewhere. A few minor issues. Chips not very hot, chicken a bit dry and the grilled barramundi had a texture like it was steamed.

Currently under renovation but largely finished. Fantastic outdoor eating area with a sense of space and great place to spend a few hours. We had a quick lunch. Steak burger was tasty, good size and really good chips. Boss had calamari and prawns but not that happy with the latter. No dressing on the side either so remember that for next time.

Great atmosphere and food was nice. I will return.

There is a bottle shop built into the Tavern that allows for wine to be bought an consumed in the restaurant. The outdoor kids area is fun for 2-6 years. Would have been a 5 star review expect we had our first and only dessert the last night via takeaway and it was stale cake.

Lovely tavern next to holiday park. The menu isn't the largest (both food and drinks) but enough for a lunch or dinner out while at the caravan park. There's a play area, too. Which is great for the children 🙂
