Unfortunately we never got to experience Molly's as the security guard took a disliking to my friend and wouldn't allow him to enter the venue. His reason for not allowing us in to the venue was because "he didn't like him" After a long hard day at work, also in hospitality we were hoping to grab a quick beer before heading home but we were turned away. The frosty welcome and the over the top accusations really left a bitter taste. Get some security with personality and who welcome guests into your venue as the behaviour and attitude from your guard tonight was unacceptable.

My girlfriend had a chicken burger that was basically slop, it was absolute trash. You wouldn't serve it in a prison.

My steak was ok but the vegetables and mash had been microwaved.

Poor would be an understatement.

Very typical Irish theme bar. Lots of booths and a big bar. A small balcony that overlooks the street. Close to a tram stop which is handy. The Guinness pie with mash and peas was good quality. Not extraordinary but honest fare with lashings of gravy. A bit dark inside. Plenty of security.

Don't bother with this place - the security knocked us back from entry despite us driving to the venue, and the manager backed him without even speaking to us. A bunch of losers the atmosphere looked dead too

Warning for all dog owners!!!!!

Had the worst experience in the venue. Was told I wasn't welcome inside or outside (even in the outdoor seating area on the street) because of my dog. Totally understand dogs not being allowed inside venue that service food but in this case "the owners of the pub don't like animals so they don't want them anywhere near the building"

The bartender was also externally rude and non apologetic.

Any dog owner avoid this place.

Over run bar full of drink Irish who are standing outside stopping trams going past for fun. Bar needs to control patrons or put up rails for safety of all.

This pub is amazing. I love spice bags so yum. Danny the bartender who served me was such a lovely guy and went above and beyond.

Great well priced food. Wasn't busy when we went, and service was quick and Friendly staff. Good design and atmosphere

The atmosphere has changed (positively), it feels more like an Irish Pub. On Fridays live music.

Another great venue with terrific hospitality from the Thomas Hotels Group! A fortnight later at Coach & Horses, Molly Malone's had an easy process of booking our large group for casual drinks. Shout out to Anthea and her crew as well as Katie and the staff on the evening for the friendly service. Love the quaint wooden interiors to give it a classic tavern feel.

Old school pub. Excellent service. Drinks price is decent! They do play live music, which is a plus.

We had our work function at Molly's in December and from the moment we made contact with Anthea we felt like special guests (you know, not just another group booking). Anthea was really friendly and SO HELPFUL. The event ran smoothly, Anthea
checked in on everything and the function canapes were generously sized and really tasty. The chef even catered for our special dietary requirements. There was no issue at all even with my many many emails and calls and questions. Everyone has given really positive feedback. Thank you so much Anthea and team at Molly's for making our end of year party AWESOME!!!

Security guard was a fat arrogant rude lady, she turned away 10 of us because one of my friends responded that he had eaten oats for breakfast after being asked if he had eaten anything today. We didn't even make it into the bar before being greeted with this jabba the hut sized woman who denied us. I used to frequent this bar and I loved it, it was mine and my mates favourite Irish pub in sydney however we will never again be visiting after the actions and disrespect that was spewed at us out of this hippopotamus looking woman. The fact that she even has a job working there is astounding to me she was mid way through a burger and chips when we arrived, asking us for our ID's with French fries flying from her mouth as she spoke. This is the most disgusted I have ever felt at an establishment before and I will never ever ever again visit.

Food and service were good .toilets a disaster. Glass on the ground overflowing urinal, to small for the amount of people in the joint. A lot of money spent on the fit out but this let it down.

Drove here last night to meet a few friends after working on the bank holiday. It was around 10, tried to walk in, didn't see the bouncer, apologised and stepped back. Waited for a group of people to pass.

It was cold so I asked if I could go in now. This guy was stammering and seemed to slur a little.
He asked if I had been drinking, I said no I just drove in, he tried to ask a follow up question. But was a long time to get his words out ?
I asked if he was alright, he told me to "watch it" and that I could somewhere else tonight. Usually I wouldn't bother writing something up here,

But when your the designated driver who's just drove in to meet a few friends and get them home safe, is there any point anyone going ?

Amazing guiness on tap and parmy special is very filling. Happy hour is also a great deal for crackin a cold one after work

Super friendly staff, average priced drinks and cozy grungy tavern feel. Stopped by for a few after work drinks and enjoyed it. They charged my friends' phone on request too. Would come back !

Kitchen wasn't open the day we went and the food came in from the kitchen of another establishment.
Less options for cocktails. Wanted an Irish coffee on a cold night, was disappointed it wasn't available. The pasta we ordered wasn't tasty but the chicken wings were fine. Can't complain about the staff, they tried their best.
It's probably more packed on other nights, with more staff, patrons and better options but didn't have the best experience on our visit.

Foods were great especially the chicken wings with hot sauce was one of the best chicken wings that i've ever had! For the rump steak, it was a little bit over cooked for a medium rare but still very good. The atmosphere of the pub itself was very nice as well!

Less rowdy than the other places nearby which is ironic given the rep Irish pubs have. Good drinks reasonably priced. Good for a chat with your friends.

Would not recommend going here if your life depended on it!
Mostly because you will struggle to see what the interior looks like after we were rejected entry and when asked why...the security guard told us "he had orders" when I questioned further the security guard got aggressive and threatened me.
Not a nice place, manipulative and aggressive

There are plenty of other good pubs within 100m of here that will give you great service and respect

I love this place, and not just because they have Brookvale Union Ginger Beer on tap. They have some pretty nice lunch deals.

This mob took over from the old Gaelic Club downstairs. They've added some booths and updated the decor which is nice, but anyone that used to go here went because the drinks were cheap (and cheaper than the 3 other bars within 50 metres). Now they're the most expensive, and there's no reason to go back.

Large portion of passable food. Service without any warmth, but OK. A bit overpriced given the quality & service. Otherwise seemed clean, empty of pax, a bit glaring muzak.
