Unreal piano bar. Plan to go around 8-9pm to make sure you can get in

Piano bar is a must visit.

However, be prepared for the heat in there?

Really nice staff throughout the whole venue and some extremely talented piano players.

Also there seems to be confusion surrounding entry costs, some people say it's free before 8pm. This wasn't the case for us and we were charged at 6pm!

The duet piano play off nights are THE BEST. A must visit if you're up to a sing along and a dance with your friends or with complete strangers. It's a friendly and safe vibe . This place is so much fun. The artists are brilliant. The only downfall (which was unfortunate and uncomfortable) was there wasn't adequate air conditioning and it was a jot balmy night . Not sure if the AC wasn't working or non existent - it was so hot , but worth the fun, song and dance . I hope I visit again

Great bar, loved the piano room! However, Johnny, one of the bar staff literally threw something at me and when I walked over and asked if he just threw something at me he said he 'meant to throw it at his friend' and didn't apologise. I was like ..... and he was like ..... so I asked if it was okay for bar staff to throw things at customers (in the uk you'd get actually clarted) and he shrugged and walked away. Love that from him. Keep up the professionalism Johnny!!!

Checked out this place for piano duet battle night, and so glad I did! Had so much fun here, even as a solo female I felt safe and was welcomed with open arms by some of the patrons. Had a blast singing and dancing around with complete strangers. The vibes were perfect, and the pianists were incredible to watch!

Great night out, amazing cocktails. The food was awesome and staff super friendly. Quiz night was totally fun.

If you have ever wanted to go back-packing in Thailand or Bali then maybe spend a night here first in preparation, This place gives me some mega flashbacks. Not sure if it's the smell or just the general condition of the toilets, could be the dirty glasses they serve drinks in or maybe it's just those experiences you can't un-see when you share a bathroom with others when you stay here... to many similarities to really pin-point what triggers my flashbacks.... On a serious note tho, I really hope your kitchen staff don't use the main toilets, because there wasn't any soap in there when we visited at lunchtime.... The 1 star is for being dog friendly and located in Byron Bay, congrats on nailing those 2.

Ordered food and took over 1 hour to come. When it arrived by the manager I said to her that it wasn't good enough that it had took over an hour for a burger and a pizza. The manager then said "yeah I know" an threw the food onto the table and walked off. Unbelievable. I will not be back and neither will the 12 people we came here with. Not to mention they are charging a 15% extra charge for holidays never mind their usual rip of prices. $17 for a pint of Guinness?!!! We won't be back. Joke of a place.

It's Friday night and the music of Byron Bay awaits you. The Northern has three music venues so it's always a great starting location and meeting place for you and your friends. Then you can stroll down Johnson St and enjoy the live buskers who punch way above the norm for music and singing. Dance your way to the stars and soak up the magic of northern rivers music. You might just discover the next big thing.

Just came for a drink..Aperol Spritz was fine, but almost dry retched in the toilets.. stinky, the place is dirty, even the grand pianos are grubby. Come on guys, up your cleaning game.

Went there for dinner. Had a chicken parmi and burger. Parmi was not as expected. Nothing special. Paid $15 for a pint of VB. Bit pricey.

Awesome pub, great beer line up, excellent entertainment... The 2 blokes on the piano were legit AF!

Was asked to wear a mask as soon as we arrived no where else in Byron asked us or even were wearing them. One of the Bar staff had his hanging around his chin most of the time. The other bar person never one the whole time. They have a sign up no mask no service. After I EAS served with a mask others went up without masks and were served. The people who brought the drinks and food didn't wear mask same barman. All I ask for is consistency. They are not required now in Nsw so please just get rid of them here. The meals were big and enjoyable it was just the above that put me off going there. The staff apart from the Food waiter must have had a bad day or something. He was very friendly and helpful. The place only had about 10 customers so it wasn't busy in our section.

A friend request medium and got well done ? but still a solid feed. Pricy for pub food, chips were well fried but otherwise the meal was nothing special and very average. Appreciate staff being accomodating and getting ketchup and cutlery for us! Live music is a bonus. Come here for vibes not food.

Food was tasty. Better than I had expected when heading to the pub. Staff were friendly and helpful and the aircon was nice and cold after a hoy and humid day

I love the staff here. They are so genuine and familiar. I always feel wekcome. Under used amazing building too

Quaint old pub. Rough with atmosphere. Nice girl in bar, very helpful with beer varieties.
Small menu, but plenty of variety.
Food when it came out was great. Not the Ritz, just a really nice experience. Will be back.

Depends on the kind of night you are after if you give this pub or 1 or 5. The live music was on when we went and it was great and the 9 Marg's were good.

The front door people are aggressive and over the top. I felt uncomfortable and like we were being treated like drunk Children when it was the first drink of the night and we are in our mid thirties. I think the just default to treating everyone like they are about to do something wrong. I wouldn't go back because of that experience.

My husband and I came to Byron Bay for our honeymoon and made the best decision to come and eat here. The cocktails were on point (I recommend the lavender lemonade) and our entrees and main meals were perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was nice inside the restaurant side, we enjoyed how moody the lighting was and the intimate decor. The security guards at the front door were really good at ensuring Covid protocols were met and made sure to check that everyone who was coming inside had checked in with their phones. I can't thing of negatives to say except the wait time for the food was a little long but my husband and I were also very hungry so it could have just felt longer than it actually was. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a delicious feed and good environment to kick back in.

We sat in the pub side which had great character but I would of preferred the other bars which one had a band and one was cute and more for cocktails. We we're frog marched into that bar by the "Hygiene Marshall" from the sign in stand and sat amongst tables of middle aged blokes having shorts, I didn't even know the other areas existed. However drinks we're extremely cheap and as should be so no complaints there suited what we needed!

The food was really good. We had a group of eight and had an array of dishes which everyone enjoyed.

What's up with the waiters not writing down our order? especially when you forget the order and come back to the table twice to 'clarify'.

Security guards/ COVID marshals wouldn't know what day of the week it is.

We had dinner with the family on Sunday night and I was impressed. The food is definitely a decent grade above any average pub dinner. Very friendly service, excellent cocktails and the food was really good.

went there with a good mate for dinner a few nights ago. What a great surprise! Food was wonderful, the service was friendly and so helpful. Great place, lovely people, and i dont even drink! Seems like its a bit of a secret, not many people there, yet its a good looking place, great food options. I will be back, and i am telling my friends about it

Amazing pub and great venue for live music. Location is great, right in the centre of everything, close to the beach if you wanna go for a dip and ample parking all around.

The staff were very friendly, we both got a schnitzel and it was well cooked, a great portion size and the chips were fresh and crispy. The cocktails were also great- very reasonable pricing too.
