We had initially requested for a double room with shared bathroom which we were trying to upgrade to a private en-suite with no luck. A shared bathroom is a challenge when you have a 4 year old who will wait until the last moment to wee ?? Kate, a friendly service staff went out of her way to help us swap our rooms with another family, who were looking for a double room with 2 single beds. She dint have to, but she empathized (being a mom herself) and went out of her way to ensure that we got a private en-suite. She also checked to ensure that we were comfortable, requested if she make a dinner booking for us, if we needed water in the room for the kids. I understand that service staff do this usually, but there was a difference in the way Kate did it, she genuine cared! The interiors of the hotel and the room were simple, class, clean and elegant. It carried "old vibes" and decor to suit the age of the hotel (started in 1883). The food served at the restaurant was good. They even had a kids playroom in the restaurant to keep them busy. All in all, it was a beautiful experience, with friendly hotel staff. Definitely recommend for a stay with your family. A huge shoutout to Kate once again??. Grand view hotel, you've got a good one there! We are definitely recommending this place to all our friends and will come back again!

Another delicious lunch here today. The lamb and rosemary pie is wonderful and the mocktail was lovely. Very pleasant service too. Thank you.

Very disappointing meal, absolutely rubbish service from 3 waiters that chose to spend the majority of their time having a nice little chat behind the bar and ignore patrons waiting for dinner. I'll give them, the food came quickly but it would have been better off not given it was barely cooked. What should have been an amazing lamb rack was beyond chewy and just a disappointment to have killed an animal for what was served. Absolutely no seasoning, and the other elements on the plate were equally as dull and undercooked. The other meals at our table weren't any better, just generally boring and a waste of money, a disappointing family dinner. We definitely won't be back, we will continue to tell people about the Grandview bistro though, just to ensure they avoid it at all costs.

This is our first visit and it definitely won't be out last.
The ambience was very homely and the service was impeccable.
The food was prepared very quickly and came out steaming hot.
Cooked to perfection, the dishes we ate were awesome.

What a great venue for our Wedding Cocktail party! Kate truly went above and beyond to ensure that our celebration exceeded our expectations.
Kate met with us a few months prior to our big day, allowing us to curate a customized menu that perfectly suited our Cocktail party theme. She was attentive and accommodating, making sure to incorporate all of our requests. Nothing was too much for her to handle.
Overall, our experience at this venue, thanks to Kate's exceptional attention to detail and the quality of the food, was absolutely unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for a better location to host our celebration.
We also want to express our heartfelt thanks to Kate for ensuring that everything ran smoothly on the day. Her dedication and professionalism made a world of difference.
We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to create lasting memories for their special occasions.

Stayed at the hotel, the room was nice & clean. Great value. The bistro had nice meals and the food came out really quickly after ordering. Friendly staff.

Went here for the Christmas in July dinner. For $75 it was disappointing. Promised an evening of yuletide celebrations including christmas carols. Celebrations were a tree in a corner and a cracker on the table and that as far as it went. Carols? None. Ham and turkey not off the bone/ bird. Just sad. Was expecting a lot more based on the hotels website advertising the event and amount per head that was paid. The waitress was polite and friendly.

We were very excited to go for julefest dinner at the view hotel. First impressions were, poorly decorated only a Christmas tree without lights not even a background Christmas music but the worst was the dinner. We paid $160 for a 3 course dinner. Food was terrible, the salmon salad had barely no dressing no salt, the risotto was lacking flavour, we had to asked for salt to make it tasty but it didn't make it better. the the whole dish tasted like dishwashing liquid, the roasted veggies were not even roast just boiled and the meat was overcooked the sauce tasted very cheap nothing was good about this set menu except for the dessert that was probably bought somewhere else and mulled wine.

We stopped here on the way home from visiting the 3 sisters. The staff were really lovely and accommodating. They interacted with our little boy and he had a play in the kids room while we ate.
We just stopped without plan for a meal, very pleased that we did.

Visited 29/4/23. Large group , beautiful appointed private dining room. Deluxe finger food , tea &coffee.Exception waitress attended , met us on entering the hotel & took us in. Outstanding service. The hotel is welcoming, clean ,bright.& inviting.

Only stayed for lunch, but it was the best feed I've had in a long time. I was with a party of 4 and all had different meal ? all were exceptional. Staff knowledgeable and very helpful. Only downside was the disability toilet ? was not wheelchair friendly.

Visited the bistro for Sunday lunch and it was great! They were pretty busy but our orders were taken quickly with drinks delivered soon after and then our meals which were very generous in size, well cooked with the best chips ever ?
The vibe was relaxed and the background music was just that ...

We visited the Grand View Hotel for lunch as part of a Blue Mountains tour group. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. They provided good options for dietary requirements including a gluten free and vegan option.

Went to the bistro for dinner and the food was very good. The servings were very generous and the prices reasonable. The service was great too, they were more than happy to accommodate a very fussy little girl with cooled hot chips and milk in her bottle ?

Good food, nice quiet beer garden and friendly staff.
Cocktails were a disappointment as they were way to strong and tasted like they were poorly created.....like someone thought "hey lets mix this liqueur and this other liqueur together and call it a lemon cheesecake".
Will happily return but will be sticking to a coke or lemon lime bitters.

Absolutely the best bistro food I have ever had!!
Great location friendly staff and locals.
My T-bone steak was perfection. Cooked exactly how I like them.

Havn't been back for a while. Wow very nice place, the renovations are amazing. great beer and other drinks. Food is lovely Has two rooms for larger groups. Well worth a stop over on your way.

Great Meals for our table of 10+. All served within 5-6 minutes of each other. Everyone was pleased with their meal. They have a selection of gluten free meals available. I had the quinoa salad with grilled chicken. We enjoyed the verandah room overlooking the highway and views to the North. I left before dessert but heard the sticky date pudding was good.

Was there for business. The rooms are very clean, tidy and comfortable. Great to come back too unwind after a long day??'??..staff were very friendly, accommodating and old school manners. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced.I will definitely be back and this time for a holiday.

Very good. Staff are great. The room we had a newly renovated bathroom which was fantastic. Cupboards need improving and some USB plugs would be helpful.
This is a very clean and pleasant hotel. The bistro is great but make sure you book ahead. Location is excellent.

Best pub food I've had in over 10 years. Every dish across 7 patrons and 3 courses was superb in taste, presentation, value for money and freshness. Very highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

Stayed in room 1. At rear of property away from highway noise. Large car park. Good menu, priced bistro, pub priced drinks. No breakfast served. Large guest lounge, tea, coffee, fridge. Can access open balcony, yet that over looks highway. Walk to Wentworth Falls retail area.

We booked for dinner for our family of 4. The service was outstandingly friendly; genuinely lovely staff which made for a welcoming relaxed vibe. The food arrived quite quickly, huge portions and was very enjoyable.

Cheap Tuesday s have a steak and salad. Last visit steak inferior maybe a butcher change?. Both were terrible. Always had quality meat. May not go as often. There deserts are lovely

Well it's not the Ritz, but a great country mountain hotel. I enjoyed a delicious meal, friendly service and quiet, simple room to sleep in. It also left me enough time to explore the beautiful town of Wentworth Falls. A great stay. I'll be back and thank you :)

Nice. Very comfy bed and pillows.I will always remember my stay here, as it was the day that Anthony Bourdain died. The hotel bar was the perfect place to have a shotnof whisky and a proper pint to the great man who inspired so many.

Found this great pub and feeling very happy. The food is amazing the service was world Klos and the price was phenomenal. Cannot recommend more definitely five stars definitely coming back

Was very nice, had lunch here with family on fathers day Sunday, with my partner, stepson and mother inlaw. Lunch was awesome, good size perfectly cooked. Lovely customer service from the beautiful lady behind the bar, (wish I got her name...short dark hair).Who served everyone in the premises the whole time we were there with the warmest welcome and beautiful smile, not only serving drinks but taking lunch orders as well. You Don't get that service anywhere anymore. Will be back again and will recommend.
