Worst place I have ever stayed the rooms were dark no windows and were filthy inside. The bed was uncomfortable we both woke up with sore backs. Was so bad did not stay the second night instead got a room in a lovely motel in town and got room service and a beautiful clean room and for the same price they charged us for the filthy dark dingy room we got at the orange hotel. Staff were friendly but the condition of the room and the price they charge I will never be back can find way better accommodation in town for the same price.

An awesome place to stay, room was clean and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Dinner was delicious and made friends with friendly locals. Would highly recommend this hotel motel, we'll be back!

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome, our food order was taken quickly and the food arrived much faster than expected too. The staff communicated well and were friendly. We didn't stay overnight here but we ended up going here for a light lunch after being treated like an inconvenience by front of house staff at the 'other pub' in Gayndah. We cannot fault the staff at the Golden Orange though. After such a horrible experience at the first pub we visited, it was a relief to find the Golden Orange and be assured that good customer service still exists. Thank you for saving the day and our opinion of Gayndah!

Was going to stay the night at this motel it just went from bad to worse the room is so tiny and dark couldn't swing a cat in , we got past that went to turn the tv , it doesn't work so thought I'm just having a shower and going to bed tomorrow will be a better day , nope can't have a shower there's no hot water , so lay down to get past having to go to bed with no shower and there's springs poking through the mattress from a 1960s bed . What a joke we end up leaving and having to drive the 4 hours home in the middle of the night, this place needs to be shut down , I think sleeping in the park for the night would of been a better option.

Stayed lastnight and my family and I really enjoyed it here...the staff were amazing even though my family was a bit too happy after hours 🤦‍♀️ other than that, food was awesome, place is cute and was just enough for us, and liquor store, pub area loved that it was daaaamn close...such a good vibe here, when you need to get out of a big city for a weekend, definitely recommend this place for that little getaway. Will definitely be back 😊❤️

Had a terrible night, mattress needs replacing, springs in your back, no side table just a chair, tea, coffee area is a hazard as on top of microwave and no table.
Extremely disappointed 🙁 won't be back.

Stayed last weekend. Rooms weren't the biggest but nice & clean. Have live music Friday, Saturday nights. Good food. Hopefully will b staying back there next year

Nice location on the river, but room was pretty grosse. Check in took ages, however the staff were friendly. We didn't end up eating here as they were on limited menu "using up what they had" on the 23rd of December.

Terrible for vegetarians!
My vegetarian pasta had no veggies in it- only a few spring onions... and a piece of plastic! When I discussed it with the "chef" he really didn't seem to care. Will never go here again to eat.

Freindly country pub, cold beers good staff.

The room was clean and comfortable. The service in the hotel was very good. The meal was plentiful, fresh and tasty. Best pub meal on our holidays. Staff were very friendly and well trained.

The room was small, dark and cold. Although I asked for a twin heated room when booking, what I received in room 21 was an old air conditioning unit that blew out cold air only. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn't close. The twin room had no cupboards, drawers or even a bench to put your belongings. When we asked for a heater of some kind we were given 2 blankets each. It was fitting I suppose as the only place to sit was in the bed. The location was great. The service was kind but ...

The check in was great friendly staff and the room was what you would expect for the price,but we went in at 6.15 pm to order dinner. We payed for a bottle of wine and ordered a seafood basket and a medium chicken pizza.The seafood basket arrived and when when asked when the pizza would come she said 5 to 10 minutes,we said we wanted the 2 meals together and asked to bring them back together she obliged.She then returned with the same seafood basket and the pizza in a takeaway box,apparently according to the staff member pizzas on the dinner menu are served as takeaway?really.We didn't order this and the nice man who took our order keep saying that.Unfortunately it escalated to the staff saying they felt we were intoxicated and we ended with a meal delivered to our room.Really,we spoke to several staff members who passed the buck but we just wanted to have a meal served at the same time and together which most pubs will do,

The room I was allocated had blinds across the sliding entrance door. 1/4 of the blinds were missing with pervious guests having left the broken ones around the room. Has to use a blanket to cover the missing section to get some privacy and block out the lights. Toilet and shower were clean. Air con wasn't working properly. The food and service from the bottle shop and bar/restaurant were great.

Cheap and nasty rooms. Checking in was a nightmare. No cups or spoon in the room.
Besides the food in the restaurant, the hotel is a shame. Should be be allowed to operate. Will never ever step foot there ever again. Stuffed up whatever supposed to be a good weekend for us.

Need to separate workers from holiday makers did Not appreciate being woken up at 5am when we had to travel 8hours to home. Fridge needed defrosting.

Very friendly welcome on arrival, clean & tidy room. Tasty home made pizza. We were very impressed with Lee for excellent service.

We saw loads of cars down this side street and thought we'd check it out...well there we found a fantastic little pub...very friendly service fantastic food...locals lovely folks....you must stop here on your travels...you will love the break stop here even for a drinkie poo!

Pro's - Fairly cheap and clean. Good food at the pub.Cons - room didn't have a table, bedside tables, microwave or sink. Bed had broken springs. Toilet full flush didn't work and tap in bathroom basin had been damaged from people trying to fill the jug. A constant stream of cigarette smoke from motel workers/residents came through any open windows and the door.

Went to this hotel for a meal. At the barman's suggestion, chose a bottle of wine from the bottle shop. Paid for it back at the bar along with a beer. Guess what! Charged a $5 "corkage fee" on a $19 bottle of wine. That's a 25% increase on the price! And we were NOT advised of this fee beforehand. This is price gouging & simply not good enough!

Excellent motel! Clean and comfortable rooms. Well priced. Fantastic staff and excellent service. They went above and beyond to help us secure a room for the night. Great menu as well! Thank you!

Fabulous meals, fabulous service. They even have a courtesy bus to drop you off at your accommodation. Can't fault it.

Park in the shade. Great service! Decent place to have a cold one on a hot day. Bloke who owns the place gave me a free beer for waiting while they changed the keg!
