Great service. Pet friendly - waitress came and offered some water to our Rottie. Lovely cold drinks and great food. Setting was perfect overlooking the mighty Murray

Standard pub bistro menu, great river views. Outdoor and indoor seating. Small playground, large grass between the pub and the river. Mooring for houseboats stopping for dinner.

This place has so much potential however the food and service is pretty average.

On our second visit the only food available was on the snack bar menu so we ordered a pizza and chips. The waiter who made our drinks was also making the snacks and did not use any gloves nor did they wash their hands before touching the frozen food that was served. Basic kitchen hygiene should be used for both restaurant and snack food!

We had lunch when recently travelling through Gol Gol. The hotel is located in a magnificent spot. The staff seemed to want us to order quick even though the lunch time still had 35 minutes to go. Our schnitzels arrived in a very timely manner, however they were thin and over cooked. The staff seemed to stand around talking and didn't know what to do. Maybe a little more care in the cooking process could have occurred as they certainly weren't busy.

I ate lunch there during Mildura Music Festival. Stunning location on the river. Outdoor section lovely. Great special meals. We had prawn salad and salmon salad. Good live music to accompany meals.

We had a Neal at the bistro, absolutely excellent.
Suggest the barramundi, salad and chips, top notch

Very disjointed in food service, waited over an hour for a small pizza, many other patrons ordered there food later and got there food first. Staff said order got forgotten about but didn't acknowledge that they were responsible

What a fantastic place for a meal. Overlooking the Murray River, on a sunny day. The staff were polite and prompt with the service. Food was really enjoyable. Give it a go if you are in the area.

Booked at table for 17 people. Rang to confirm booking the night of surprise party.
They had no recollection of the event happening. Had to rebook - luckily there were enough tables.
As we arrived, nothing was set up. We had to set the tables up by ourselves. Which had ruined the surprise birthday.
Ordered our meals. One meal was left out and was wrong order. Asked the waitresses, they were quite rude and said "your meal is coming". Everyone started eating. Still no meal for said person.
Everyone had finished eating by the tome the meal arrived. We asked for a refund. Waitresses declined as they dont do take away. Then asked for a refund. They declined again and said they dont offer refunds.
We were about to do the cake. Asked the ladies to bring cake out. We waited 10 minutes, only for the staff to ask us for $20 to use their plates. I was never aware of this. So we declined and decided to leave, without doing the cake.
As my relative was leaving, she overhead the staff talking about me to the other staff.
Not impressed. Such bad manners and customer service. Would never go back and would not recommend. We were treated poorly.

Booked table for birthday party Tuesday night 17 people, rang to confirm booking that day, said we were bringing cake all good, arrived there no one knew anything about booking had to find a table outside for us, meals come out all except one, kept asking where is it, still did not arrive, everyone else had finished and still no meal, waitress asked 4 times what was ordered, in the end person who never got to eat asked for a takeaway and a refund , waitress said that was not happening as she did receive meal as takeaway but here you go have a piece of cake, then to top it of they wanted to charge 20.00 to put cakes on plate, we spent over 400.00 there, never told there was a charge for plates will never go back there or recommend, such total bad service, go there at your risk

Great food, great service and cold beers. Perfect location, on the river. Also has a kids playground which is a bonus for mum and dad. The kids meals came out with heaps of chips, the kids struggled to eat everything. Highly recommend A+

Great food, ok prices compared to others, nice staff, running as fast as they can, as it was quiet busy. I loved the calamari on Greek salad. What is special: the terrace is on the Riverbanks, with a large lawn in between. So very nice views too!

One of your bar staff was most arragent person I've ever come across don't know his name but the rest of the staff were awesome and I'm sure they know who I'm talking about

Great location, good choice of beers but the food let the place down. Ordered a few items, nothing was better than OK.

Fast service. Meals were brought out quickly, it was almost kitchen close so we were pretty lucky to get dinner. Much appreciated and the meals were pretty good. 2 x parmies, 1 x barra, 1 x garlic prawns and 1 x surf n turf were ordered. Only real complaints were the chips, they were coldish and not crisp. Can't argue with that though. Service was good. All up 8.5/10

Fantastic for a beer with friends in one of these sunny days. We were in the outdoor area. The place is large and the outside was quiet, also ideal for private functions.

Asked for a medium rare steak the picture posted is blue. Manager came out reckons that's just rare. Says he couldn't give me a refund. After three other people had tried. Apparently only the owner can and he wasn't there. Consumer law says if not fit for purpose must be exchange or refund. I've eaten there once before and the steak was good but the veggies were lean on. The veggies were cooked in this case the same way as the steak. Potatoes were hard. The broccoli was barely steamed. In the car it's boring plain and pretty much almost steamed.
It's pretty poor form and they say they can't do a refund. When what they really mean is they won't. As I said previously my second time eating here. Thought I'd give them a chance because the customer service was quite good. This time saw two of the same staff that I saw the first time customer service was not so warm and welcoming to try and fix the problem. Are satisfied customer seldom leaves reviews on Google.

Wouldn't even give it one star, we ordered a medium rare steak the steak was still bleeding, beer battered fish I got 3 fish fingers and we ordered a beef schnitzel and it was drowned in garlic sauce when it should be served on the side. We complained and asked for our money back, they came back and had a go at as for it, and told us we should have known the sauce wasn't given in a boat, we ordered entrees but the mains came out before the entrees and the manager was not nice at all, thought the customer was always right....

The Gol Gol hotel needs better staff who are friendly and inviting. We rang through to book a table for 8 and they said no need to book just walk in, which we did only to be confronted by rude staff who informed us we couldn't eat there, even though there were plenty of tables. Very disappointing and totally upsetting.

We went here for dinner both nights we were in Mildura. The meals were excellent. My husband loved their special chicken dish , hasn't stopped raving about it. Both of my meals were very good. Large servings and terrific salad - included tomato , cucumber , onions , carrot etc. ALL the things that are currently missing in VIC pub meals.

Dined for dinner during our houseboat holiday. I had the main size garlic prawns & was pleasantly surprised to get 11 of them, they were tasty. Hubby had a chicken parma & enjoyed that but he was missing the usual ham that normally comes on it. Service friendly.

I've supported this place for years but my recent visit was average. The food was great but the delivery was poor. Some of our group had finished their mains before the entries had arrived.

Excellent food, friendly service and a wonderful setting if you choose to have lunch outside.

Delicious pizza, great service, and a beautiful view overlooking the river. A great spot for bird watchers, too.

Great place to come for a relaxing lunch on the terrace, while the kids enjoy the playground and run around on the lawns. Standard pub fare and friendly service. We were here on a weekday during school holidays and wasn't too busy.

Service was exceptional. Location was great. Only fault is nothing really for vegans in terms of food.

Went there for lunch and dinner and really had great meals. Good portions and value for money. They also have delicious cheesecake and the staff are very friendly. It also has a pub and a riverside view outdoor seating.

Staff a re fantastic , i got there too late for a meal , but they still got me something ! Warm friendly atmosphere. Cold drinks ..i liked it .
