Decent rooms for Bachelors and backpackers, but great location being very close to Central and Redfern stations.

I went here for lunch during the week, and even while it was quiet it still felt very welcoming and had a nice atmosphere. Lunch specials were great value, chippies were the crispiest I've ever had, and the classic cheeseburger was the best I've had in a while. Lovely and helpful staff as well :o)

Historic and friendly. The 10 dollar veggie nacho lunch is loaded with veggies, beans and creme, and excellent value

Wasn't there for long, but I was greeted warmly by the barman and the place has a lovely feel to it.

I absolutely love when pubs have a mix-n-match deal that's actually good value. Broad selection of tinnies and friendly staff.

A good solid honest neighbourhood pub. Friendly, helpful staff. It's managed to preserve a certain amount of the heritage old school atmosphere in the front rooms. I will admit that I didn't feel a strong urge to rush back. Perhaps it's simply a matter of timing, but it was quiet and feeling a bit lonely and sad when I stopped by. However, I could see this bumped up to a four if I'm ever passing by when it's more happening.

Solid smoking area and easy for USYD students to duck in for one on the way from school. The Grifter tasted a bit off but was definitely cheap.

A very nice vibe in this Pub. I'm very glad to have moved into this street. The lunch specials are pretty good and they sure will be seeing me and my friends there.

Good beer selection and a tender schnitzel witch chips and salad. Chunky wooden furniture, and not too noisy out the back - just how a pub should be. And to think I have walked past it every day for 20 years and never been in before, what a waste.

One of my fav pubs for a beer and chill. Marto (I think his name is) and Ollie (?) always super friendly and keep my friends and I coming back. Pitty about one of the owners who's a hot head and one of the bar managers who's definitely not as welcoming

Went to this neighbourhood pub for a beer and feed and was pretty underwhelmed all around. They have great beers on tap, but the lines desperately need to be cleaned and the exhaust from the kitchen was being pumped straight into the dining room. Definitely much better options in the area

The taps desperately need cleaned, the beer was undrinkable. In our group of friends we tried 3 different beers from different sections of the taps and they were all undrinkable. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly great either. Also a huge problem with the kitchen exhaust system, we sat in the side area for trivia and left smelling like we'd been cooking burgers over an open flame for hours. There was visibly thick smoke inside of the bar.

Will never return.

I booked Glengarry for a weekend in Sydney but unfortunately due to COVID and lockdown in Melbourne I had to cancel. When I cancelled my other accommodation for that weekend, they appreciatively refunded me. I tried getting a refund through Airbnb but Brett from Glengarry said it hadn't come through and I couldn't relodge it. He was not helpful in resolving it with me and we ended up with an message exchange I wouldn't wish on anyone else. It may be great value and of course it is a great location but if you do have an sudden change etc, don't expect any empathy or support.

Great place, consistent service. You always get what you're expecting and their veggie burger is one of the best I've had. You would be amazed at how many places fail the veggie burger. The chef at the Garry's nails it!

An enjoyable inner west / city pub. Good range of beers on tap including batch beers. It could do with a Newtowner apple cider on tap. Meals available. Good atmosphere.

Really Cool pub that's been there for years and years, they got all the best beers on tap like VB and Reschers! Super chill vibe and they play sports on their TVs.

Fond memories of the food here, and the upstairs airbnb rooms.... Lovely!
