Very clean,tidy friendly, helpful, happy staff. Bed comfortable, food delicious & cocktails beautiful and cheap. Road noise a bit loud but overall a good place to stay for a night or two ?

Freshly painted room with decent noise control, although you could hear the music blaring from the pub next door until midnight, but that was to be expected. Basic, bright, and an easy walk to the light rail. Very handy walk to China town. TV didn't work for Australian TV stations, not even radio stations, and there are no cable TV stations unless you have a subscription. They should make that more transparent. It is still being refurbed, but could do with more thorough cleaning in some areas - the black gunk on the shower glass was not nice. Breakfast is simply packets of cereal and cheap white bread with Coles juice and Lipton tea bags. It's cheap and does the job.

Amazing service!

We are form TAS and came to this pub on Sunday 10th of September. The man and young lady behind the bar went above and beyond to make our time here very enjoyable. The friendly service, well priced alcoholic beverages and laid back atmosphere made for some extremely pleasant hours of drinking. This pub would definitely be my local if I lived in Sydney.

Absolutely stunning service, very kind and caring staff. Even though it was one of the staff's second shift, she did an amazing job and had incredible service. The bar manager was amazing and he really made us feel at home. Being from Tasmania it reminded us of our local pub, a "country pub in the city" it sure was. Very relaxed and great vibe all around. We will be returning on our next trip to Sydney!

Great pub with loads of atmosphere ??'? Food was excellent with a choice from the Thai menu or the normal pub menu and very reasonably priced. Walking distance from Central Station and easy walk to Darling Harbour so very accessible. Highly recommend a visit ?

Reviewing the pub, not accommodation. The manager of this establishment is rude and my family and I will not attend again. Although the trivia and bingo night and MC is excellent, the manager of the bar staff is lazy and rude to customers. It is on a busy main street so I can only assume accommodation would noisy and if manager also looks after rooms, they wouldn't be in a good condition since his own personal hygiene leaves a lot to be desired.

We visited the pub on a Friday night. Service was wonderful and the karaoke was fun! The drinks and meals were reasonably priced, although they were lacking vegetarian options. The menu only had a vegetarian pizza and nappoli pasta. Both the fish and chips and schnitzel were reportedly delicious, but sadly can't say my meal was. I noticed they offer many specials throughout the week - $8.90 roast and $4.90 schnitzel just to name a couple.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent prices. Wonderful staff who are incredibly friendly and attentive. Nice classic slice of heaven in Sydney, and absolutely perfect across the board. Could not recommend this place enough if you're in the mood for a country pub taste hidden in Sydney. Food was prompt, hot, and delicious - as were the drinks. We ordered a double beef and bacon (tasty and juicy), a classic fish and chips (fresh and crispy) and a bangers and mash (tastes just like home, but better.) Overall experience was incredibly pleasant and absolutely perfect.

Great pub. Meals well in budget & nice. Good cocktails. Drinks reasonably priced. Good if you karaoke & trivia. Also has smoking area. Great local pub.

Amazing Hotel and Sports Bar with good bar food.
It's a self service place which is a bit disappointing specifically even to pick up your food and cutlery.
Pool table which is fun and entertaining if ur group of 4 or More and has outdoor seating too.

One of the best for the price.
The chicken was great. Not dry just good and the tomato paste okay. The ham was a off the bone cut nothing to flash but a good portion. The cheese was a bit light on. The chips were French fries but cooked perfectly and on the plate fresh and hot. ( hard to do with French fries)
The salad was very small but I have had worse.
Four out of five plates cleaned.
For the price untouchable.

Visiting from Rockhampton, first-time visitors to Sydney, and thanks to the team at Glasgow Arms Hotel, it was an absolutely fantastic experience.

Do not eat at the pub. Yes it was already 10pm, but I asked if they still serve and they said yes. After 40min I walked into the kitchen to check. There was nobody in the kitchen at all.
I went down to the bar to check and got told oh yeah the chef didn't see the order. Yeah no wonder he can't see the order if he isn't even in the kitchen.
When they brought the food, they threw it on the table while looking away. No sorry, no complementary drink, no nothing.
I only had calamari and chips but even the calamari had way too much salt. Couldn't eat it.

With very limited options for eateries in the area on a Sunday night, I found the Glasgow Arms Hotel. Whilst the menu on the evening was limited, the food, service and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. I didn't catch the names of the staff, however they made me feel so welcome. Its the feelings that create the memory, so wanted to thank you for making a solo customer feel connected.

I had a very comfortable overnight stay here. Was concerned about noise from the pub but that was not an issue. The room was as described, check in was easy and the team were friendly.

Visiting from brisbane - stumbled across this hidden gem along the way. Absolutely highly recommend for the below reasons. 1 - service is amazing, Absolutely fantastic staff, terrific friendly service. 2 - reasonable prices, drinks very well priced and food too
3 - food is delicious, both times i ate here the food was well priced and Absolutely delicious. 4 - tidy and clean, with a beautiful beer garden. 100/10, highly recommend

Got the rib eye steak on the hot rock. It's amazing and delicious. Would prefer some different beer options though. A bit of craft beer would go alright!

Not bad food at not a bad price the venue floor could do with a few minor touches an it would be a 5star hotel. Lovely staff tho

What an awesome little pub.
Food was amazing and crazy cheap, the ribs where superb at $19 and the fillet steak on the hot rock was so tender.
Staff were so happy, chatty and fun.
We will be back fantastic all round!

Good place for a cheap, decent meal with generous portions.

When I arrived, I was placed in a very charming room. Five minutes later, I was told a mistake had been made and I was downgraded. A complimentary drink was offered me at the bar in consideration. The room I was transferred to was not as charming, had a shared breakfast bar with tea and coffee facilities down a hallway, however the bed, room and hotel were comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel which is in/near Chinatown lies on a bus route which takes you to the Central Railway Station to buses and light rail out the side exit. Everything is well signed.

Great service and cleanliness. Great bang for buck, would recommend!!
