I thought the venue was terrific for Bday party - I like that it had 3 different sections were people could sit: the back with very comfortable couches, the main room with the bar and were the DJ was playing and the balcony were we had a fabulous paella! The staff was amazing- we were able to get in the morning to decorate the place like a studio 54 set. I was very happy with the results!!

These guys are soooo lovely and sweet, best service ever, nothing was a trouble! We had a function here on the weekend and I'd definitely recommend it. The venue was an excellent space for a private party. It's super flexible to make it your own, as you can bring own decorations, food and music. We had a great time ????

An absolute beast of a venue with a terrace, a bar with a good selection of drinks, delicious food platters and a spacious lounge area to relax. Tom and Yam - the two managers were amazing from the very start to the end. Extremely friendly staff. Thank you team for making my bux night a memorable one.

I had my 40th birthday at this venue and highly recommend it. The minimum bar tab is very reasonable compared to other places I contacted and the drink prices are decent too (eg $15 espresso martinis) so the tab stretches further.
They're very flexible with you supplying your own catering and arriving early to decorate etc.
The space is deceivingly big and has a nice outdoor terrace too as well as the indoor area. Overall 10/10 I would happily book other events here.

My partner had a SpongeBob themed party here and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They allowed us to dress the space and go wild, despite only reserving a few tables. Highly recommended.

I wish I could rate them higher! I hosted a birthday party here and we had the absolute best time. We had full access to the aux and music, the entire room upstairs to ourselves, and plenty of space to dance and go crazy. The cocktails were incredible- both in price and in taste, and it was an incredible bargain. The space is also the cutest- I am obsessed.

The staff are absolutely incredible- communicative both over the phone and over email, and they had everything sorted out for me so that all I had to do was show up... They also let me rent it all night instead of only a limit of 4-5 hour hire like other venues.

Their bar staff were amazing, and we had the absolute best time. We will be back for round 2!

I celebrated my spongebob themed birthday party here! The staff on the night were so helpful and kind and made sure we were all taken care of. Bar service was quick, not like the other venues where it took ages to get a drink! Its prime location is amazing as it's in the heart of Oxford st and would definitely consider having another birthday or event here again! My guests and I had such a FANTASTIC night! The Gaslight Inn mangers (Yam and Tom) were so nice and helpful when replying to any queries or concerns, no matter how small or grand they are!

The venue is a good place to host events, we just hosted an Afro beat party event there and it was lovely. The staff are very friendly and easy to work with.

It will be very helpful and excellent to host more frequent events there if only the management can have a sound system in place because we have to pay DJ to be a standby for the duration of our event while we still paid other added djs for the event. Put a standard sound system in place, a dj table and dj mixer then 5 stars is yours ?.

But it's a good venue overall.

Really good venue for indoor bookings and gatherings with a great bar selection.

The toilets are really small and cramped upstairs, so if it gets dirty it can get quite icky to use. Really great flexibility to be able to host your own events so highly recommend it!

I recently hosted an event for my friends and supporters of my music. I wanted a space where we could all feel comfortable and safe as the world is a weird place right now and the club setting is a bit much lately but let me just say that the Gaslight staff went above and beyond! They treated us with respect, made us all feel welcomed and they gave us the most hospitable service we could have imagined. Their manager Yam really stretched himself thin to make sure we had a great time and we did! Much love and respect to The Gaslight inn. We'll be back soon!

hosted a birthday party here and had a great time :) The function space was perfect: large, aesthetic and had both quiet lounge areas and rowdy bar areas for different crowds. It was also super affordable and the staff were very flexible, allowing me to decorate and plan my party freely without being binded by overpriced party packages. Would definitely recommend the Gaslight as an ideal function location!

Saturday afternoon drinks before the evening crowds arrived. Staff were super helpful and considerate. We ordered in the burgers but we particularly enjoyed the chips from the bar.

I like going to the gaslight inn to play the poker machines late at night and the bonus thing about it is that it's always empty except for the few people who are there just having a drink and the staff are all really friendly and very helpful

Best venue!I had a wonderful 21st birthday party at the gaslight Inn and couldn't recommend it more. Firstly the hired space is perfect as it accommodates for people who want to dance, go out on the terrace as well as have side areas with lounges to sit down away from the noise. Perfect area for a DJ set up/dance floor as well as mingle areas including a lovely sized terrace and areas around the side with lounges and tables. My friends and I found the space was absolutely perfect. In terms of staff, we had lovely managers help me organise my party as well as on the night making sure all my guests were having a great time. Overall I was beyond happy with the space, staff and atmosphere.
