Came here for lunch with work. The location is good, the service good, but found the food which I ordered to not be enjoyable. I ordered the nachos. The nachos meat had the "warmed over" taste. The Salsa was very sweet, as if it came from a commercial salsa jar and the guac was obviously not fresh. Not great and not worth the money.

The daily specials are fantastic value, really nice venue, the service is awesome and a great location.

The service at this location was impeccable. I reserved a space for 15 guests including dogs and they kindly put us inside in the air conditioning as it was a 43 degree day. The bar staff were attentive, accomodating, personable and kind. I can't recommend this place highly enough for group gatherings. Can I also add highly affordable drinks and food!

A typical good old Aussies pub. The bartender, (manager?) made up some non alcoholic cocktails for my wife and daughter as they don't drink.
An historic building with separate area to suit all tastes. Recommended if you're in the area.

Unfortunately I had a bad time working here. The managers had already picked favourites and I was barely welcomed into their "team". Despite having more years experience in hospitality and bartending than the actual managers they were extremely condescending and patronising towards my work and criticised everything. I will never go above and beyond for a place that doesn't even respect me. It was the quietest place I'd ever worked at yet I was expected to act the busiest I'd ever been. I left after a few weeks.

Full of history, great area, outdoor seating and upstairs bar.

The owner guards the door like a troll.. there's literally no one in there and still refuses to let you use the toilet and points you away

Poor form on a business owner.. in his eyes that is not a "public space"

It's a pub is it not? A pub should feel friendly and open.. not buy something or get out

The food was honestly terrible. Could have mistakenly ordered the only two dud items (veggie burger and blackbean beef) on the menu but I'll leave that judgement up to you. Beer is fine, but you might be waiting a while to get it as the bar is understaffed. Worst pub I've been to in Sydney in quite a while.

Had dinner here and the food was great and the service was great too. Extremely nice food with great price's. Definitely be back....

This place used to have a nice vibe about it, even after the renovations of a few years ago, but I'm not sure what has happened as the food tonight was trash. Parmies were well over cooked, reheated gravy in the microwave, tasted like standard tomato sauce as the base, frozen cheese sprinkled on-top?

Do yourself a favour and grab a pub meal at one of the other venues nearby as this place is done.

Smallish pub when comparing with others in the area. Good pub style food. Very friendly publican. Pet friendly in outdoor areas.

I get a 5-star hotel that's good gets rated well, but rating a 3-star one at 3 stars isn't right. This is a place that is honest about what it is and then strives to go that little bit extra to make your visit as friendly as possible. That deserves a 5-star rating. The proprietor couldn't be nicer or more welcoming.

Have been eating and drinking at this pub for many years. Since the last Reno, the service and the food have gone down hill. Was there this week for lunch with a few mates. Ordered the beef burger and chips and we would of been lucky if we got a hand full of chips, more so less. As seen in the photos. Sorry but this pub is no longer on my list of pub to visit. Poor service and bad food.

Haven't even been to this venue because the man I spoke to on the phone today was so unbelievably rude. Called to enquire if they offer a happy hour and the guy was super unfriendly but I let it go. I called back a second time hoping to double check what drinks were included and he actually sighed and asked why I needed to know?! and when I tried to confirm what times it ran from he shouted the times down the phone at me. Why bother working in the hospitality industry if you're going to go above and beyond to be THAT hostile and unhelpful...?? We were looking to come in with a large group of friends and stay put for evening and will now make sure to never set foot in your venue. Bizzare. You would think after the past 2 years you would be happy to welcome new customers.. Called 2 other pubs in the area that were instantly helpful and friendly. All the best with your ridiculously unpleasant service!!

Nice place for a drink but the schnitzel is awful and oily, half the chips were undercooked and the gravy was weirdly flavoured (five spice?) and runny. The other food might be better, didn't have anything else.

We've been to this venue many times and always loved it. But this most recent visit was very disappointing. The venue and the outlook and the service was great. But the food was, tbh, awful. Previously it was a modern aus selection cooked with finesse. But now it's mainly bad local Chinese. And the non chinese options were poorly cooked. Very disappointing

Excellent customer service! I had a missing drink and Daniel did not hesitate to help me, very supportive! Such a great kid. I will definitely come back.

This pub is enjoyable and relaxing. It has mostly carried off its sailor aesthetic. It has a bit of character due to the quite unintuitive layout. It's just surprisingly good.
