This place is great. Good old fashioned pub atmosphere. The staff and owners are lovely and happy to accommodate any requests (especially if you want absolutely no chilli 🤣). Good pub menu, cooked really well. We will definitely be coming back. ??'?

We booked for lunch as a group. We ordered at the same time and our meals came out 10/15 minutes apart. The food was over cooked. The stake was over cooked. I was given a normal knife to try and cut it with.
It was very cold inside.
The bar staff were nice.
Overall we were disappointed

I really enjoyed the food at this place and the environment had great energy. I got to meet both mangers who were very friendly and polite people. I would definitely recommend going to this pub on weekends where you can also do karaoke. I had a great time here and can't wait to go again!

I loved this pub so much! I had a delicious spaghetti bolognese, the staff were SUPER friendly, and there was so much to do at this place! From claw machines, to gambling games, and hilarious signs decorating the walls, I 100/10 recommend, a must see on weekends or weekdays. Met both managers and they were so accommodating. All of their dishes were fabulous (compliments to the chef)!

Have always found this pub hit and miss. Awkward shape but this time there was a sandpit in the front bar with mini table tennis... Loved it. Didn't get a chance to have food but good range of drinks for reasonable prices. Quirky but fun

If we could give a score of 0 stars for the food we would! We ordered Roast Pork which was the roast of the day. Told it was tender and the crackle delicious. What came was slices of dry roast Pork on roast potatoes and covered in what tasted like 'butter chicken sauce'. There was no crackle but if there was it would have been smothered in this sauce anyway! This was not a 'roast of the day' but leftover Pork disguised with butter chicken sauce! Bloody horrible!!! As it was we had to wait about 45mins and it was so bad that we left most of it on our plates and walked out. We did tell the barman our issue - his response was he too thought it looked "weird". No offer of money back ( we wouldn't have accepted just really wanted to give them the feedback)
All in all we would never go back there for a meal again. Bar service was good shame about the cook!!! Music was good too.

Walked in here at 9pm to find them still serving food. I ordered the special - slow cooked brisket. Figuring I'd get the usual pub fare, I was surprised when out comes enough food for about 23 people. The brisket was so delicious I could have licked the plate if it wouldn't have lead to my stomach bursting. The service was friendly and personable and the atmosphere was just quiet enough with the beats. Made sure to tell the concierge at my hotel to send people here before I went up to my room to get the food coma started.

Featured is the Roast of the day (lamb), the chicken tacos, and beef nachos 🤤 I'm surprised the place wasn't packed out! It tastes as incredible as it looks!! Approx $20 a plate too 😅

We went on an impromptu dinner on a Saturday. The menu is huge with literally something for all ages. The staff were all warm and welcoming. We were told they were having issues with the telephone lines so that will explain why they were quite but I imagine it being quite a buzz when they get that sorted and people are able to easily book.

Welcoming friendly hosts , late lunch late afternoon they still served a delicious meal for my husband and myself. New owners made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Super clean inside and outside, constantly cleaning tables. Cool music and it wasn't even their famous karaoke night. Lovely surprise in the Port halfway to the lighthouse. We live in the Barossa but will definitely be back, well worth the stop ???'

Went there for dinner on a weekday and got a Beef Schnitzel. It tasted good, the sauce was free. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. 23 dollars

Commercial Hotel has an outstanding tasty menu, modern atmosphere, and extremely friendly staff.

3Nov2022 Dinner for two. Quiet Thurs evening at the dining side of hotel which opens at 5.30pm. Very friendly & efficient waitress. Small menu selection at slightly above standard prices. We had the beef panko schnitzels with gravy on side (best ever) which was absolutely delicious but with a very small side serve of chips. Other meals coming out also looked delicious, including the generous rib-eye on the bone at $48 and S&P squid. Pleasant quirky decor showcasing stunning photo's of the historic hotel and streetscapes. Nice outdoor dining area with plenty of seating. Minor observation with inside chairs needing an upgrade as some were a little rickety and unstable. Otherwise the kitchen staff are efficiently skilled taking pride in food quality and delivery. Recommend a visit (review is for food served at the bistro bar facing Commercial Road).

This place has potential, but it's major flaws are evident from the moment you walk in. First off, in 14 degrees, the doors are wide open and the heater wasn't on. When an elderly man complained they didn't turn it on but closed the doors instead. Then the food: the schnitzels were bland, with bad salad dressing and NO SALT on the chips. The biggest gripe I have is... They could be so much better! The bar and staff were lovely and chic. The look of the place is actually nice, and the beers on tap were varied and interesting. I could go there again in the future if they improved food and customer care about 20%, it's that close to being in competition with their neighbours.

Fabulous Friday 13th lunch Black and White day for the Westside Glitzy girls and other chapter ladies who came for the day. Meals huge and delicious, friendly and very gracious staff who shared in our banter ! I highly recomend to all .

Was not sure where to go tonight and had checked out some hotels nearby and this place didn't look to busy so thought I would give it a try.
This place had really good service by Hannah.
We started with natural and Kilpatrick oysters followed by scallops Florentine (sorry forgot the photos of these dishes)
We followed up with roast lamb and a 300gram porterhouse.
The meals here are huge and not expensive.
I will definitely be going there again and have no hesitation in recommending it

1st time visiting the Commercial:- friendly staff, food was delicious, great atmosphere. Definitely going back again.

Good old fashioned pub at Port Adelaide. Food is really good but on our night a touch slow to come out but if you have good company that's not really a problem. I had good company.
Interior is little like a rabbit warren to go from one end to the other but no biggie there, either.
Staff were efficient but not overly friendly.

Not a great review today. They were having technical issues but I still think waiting an hour and twenty minutes for a meal is way too long. My two fellow dners received their meal at the one hour 10 minute wait mark but still nothing for me. Waited an extra 10 minutes and then asked for a refund which was given promptly but without apology. Will not be returning or recommending the Commercial Hotel to any of my friends or family. Perhaps more staff and a back up plan for when things go wrong would be helpful.

Good atmosphere meals were pretty good. The staff seemed a bit rushed however were friendly. Certainly was nice sitting and soaking up the sun watching people pas by.

The breakfast was amazing and the service was even better. Adam was so accommodating and funny. Absolutely beautiful family get together. Do yourself a favour and try it xx

Edit: The meals were delicious. Plates were locked clean. Absolutely great service from everyone, especially Adam. He walked over as I was taking a selfie and offered to take a photo of all of us. Just absolutely outstanding service and delicious food.

Came early on the morning with the family and we all ordered coffee. He was a bit busy so he made my hot chocolate on the house.
