Asked for a ceaser salad, with the egg fully cooked as I'm pregnant, and payed extra for Chicken to be added. Salad came out with a runny yolk egg, so asked for it to be taken back and cooked properly. Then it came back and there was no chicken in it. So instead of remaking it, or at least taking it back and tossing the chicken through the salad, they just brought out some cold, dry chicken breast for me to put on top of my salad. This made the salad so dry, with not enough dressing to cover everything. I only ate about 1/3 of it before I just couldn't eat anymore dry chicken ?. The waitress also seemed annoyed with me that my meal wasn't what I ordered. Would not return.

Cool little pub in Wallsend that just completed a renovation of an outside entertainment area. They sometimes have duos or solos. Great food too

Service was fantastic but very disappointed to see a brand new menu with not 1 vegan option, it's almost 2024 and there were multiple vegans attending tonight that could not eat.

A chicken and bacon salad removing the chicken, bacon and feta is just not good enough.
I don't want to eat just lettuce and rocket.

Make the vegetarian option vegan and it will suit both vegans and vegetarians.

We're reasonably local, but this was the first time eating here in 2-3 years. Experience was as bad as the last time that kept us away.
Well over an hour for meals to show up, 90 mins for kids meals. Restaurant had cleared out by the time our food arrived. Food was mid, not worth the wait. No apology or explanation.
Good selection of beers doesn't make up for poor service. Glasses weren't cleared once in 2 hours. A poor experience overall.

It was our first time going here for dinner. We ordered the cola and bbq pork ribs with veg and mash, and the fire stations own pizza (without olives, jalapeños and olives for my husband) - the ribs were nice, but the best I've had but still flavourful. Found the veg too big to bite into and wish they were smaller in pieces. Mash was alright, it was lacking in flavour but had a smooth texture. Pizza was not my husbands favourite. The toppings kept falling off and the crust wasn't baked fully but he still liked the flavours. Highly recommend the Swedish berry cider, best cider ever. The ambience is nice as well.

We recently enjoyed a party, and the finger food was a real delight.

This Friday night I ordered a barramundi fillet that was a disaster.The rice soaked in soy sauce is salty enough, and the fish is sprinkled with a lot of sea salt in addition to the very salty bacon. After having to wash off with water but still very salty, drank half a ton of water when I got home??

Food here is always fantastic. We both very much enjoyed our lunch, highly recommend the lamb cutlets and salt and pepper squid was 'melt in your mouth'.
Only negative was, we both wanted a cup of tea after lunch and the only options were Earl Grey, lemon or ginger herbal teas. Who doesn't have English Breakfast, or similar black tea! Have never had that happen before.

Had the Thursday night special Rump Steak. Delicious! Good quality and great price. Staff are nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend it. Good atmosphere!

A few years ago I went to this pub religiously every Thursday for a good while. The food and beers were fantastic!

I returned tonight after a year or so and unfortunately the new menu is not good. Garlic chilli prawns for entree, good amount chilli but lack of overall flavour.
Scotch fillet - medium rare with chips and salad (no onion), came out well done with onion in salad. While the onion in the salad is no big deal I can pick it out. But a steak well done for a steak asked for medium rare is annoying especially for $34. Chargrilled steak was a nice flavour and I ate it as I was hungry. Pub was not super busy.

Beers are great, good selection of craft beers. Great pub for a beer or two but won't be returning for food. New layout is good

Tuesday Lunch Special, Lamb Cutlets with Veg was beautiful couldn't fault it. My husband had it with Salad, was a little peeved they didn't replace the chips with more salad and it was just a tiny bowl of salad. Still paids the same price but anyway it was great regardless. It was very busy but they seemed to get through the crowd pretty well. They could have done with another set of hands. We will still go back for sure.

Great food, helpful service, nice and roomy.....but acoustics are terrible. We love coming here but it's so loud! But still recommend!

Imagine paying $90+ dollars for 2 kids meals, a parmy, cutlets and some uncooked garlic bread!
Tonight we didn't feel like cooking so we thought we would give the firey another crack as last time we come both my son and partner were up all night spewing from their pork ribs, well this time we sent back our uncooked garlic bread and was told this is how we do it and it was brought back to the table only to be taken later because it was uneatable! Then we ordered 3 cutlets, but only received 2 I got up to complain because there was no one in sight to call to our table and told the staff we would just like a refund, by time they brought it out we had finished our meals and were packing up to go I informed them to keep the cutlet and the money and walked out! The staff members we delt with have no idea what they are doing nor how to deal with a complaint/how to go about fixing it, some serious training is definitely needed!
We will never be back and will be sure to pass the word on.

Waited over an hour only to be told order didn't go thru. Family of 5 with a new born. Terrible service lately. Refunded money paid and sent on our way. Disappointing considering how good the firey used to be.

The specials on the board are always fantastic, the food come out in generous portion sizes and wonderfully cooked. The schnitzel night is the best, huge schnitty with perfect cooked vegetables every time. Plus the staff are always super friendly and the wait times even when theyre busy are very decent. This is now my go to place for a great pub meal.

The food is good. Staff are good but the wait for food when ordered is getting longer and longer and the chef won't change the way they cook things to accommodate. Hope it improves.

I went for the Thursday night special, $15 Ribs, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the portion size was very decent given the price and the ribs were nice??'? I loved their chips, they were nice and crispy! The $8 side of chips is a very decent size for a pub serving!
My husband got a pizza which he liked, and our friend got the lamb cutlets which she was very impressed with! We had a nice evening!

The food here was outstanding for pub food. I tried the ABC schnitzel and my wife went for the chicken burger. All was beautifully presented and exquisite. We arrived pretty early to the place so there was nobody in there. It got busier as ti.e went by but nothing crazy. Lots of COVID protocols in places. If you are looking for a quick and taste tea come to this place.

Quick and easy family pitstop to have a good feed and drink. Second visit and this time with little kids. Nothing is a worry. Kids are well behaved. Plenty of intimate and group seating. Friendly staff.

Very effective Covid Safe sign in. Well portioned meals, full of flavour at reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient staff. Bistro meals with range of craft beers as well as established brews.

The food and menu here is good. $$ its a pity the girl taking the orders couldn't get it right for me. The rest of the family loved there meals. Atmosphere was good too

When I looked at the menu online, my expectations were of a typical pub grub meal. Wow, I was very wrong! Food was all really good, beer great, Covid control all there, staff great too. What a little gem. Think I've found our new local. Hope they do trivia

I visited the firestation hotel a couple of nights ago for farewell drinks for a colleague. The venue was great! Comfy, clean and the staff were very professional amd helpful. The best part of the night was the delicious fire station pizza. We got one to graze on but it was so fresh, juicy, smoky and full of toppings that we had to get another! Everything we could ask for in a nice local after work pub :)

Great beer selection. The food was good & affordable but no oysters kilpatrick anymore the menu has got smaller but maybe because of covid not sure.
