Stayed the night in a nice clean room, hot shower and good burger. Great staff and service. Would recommend if you need somewhere to stay the night ??'?

We have moved into kyogle and have tried all eating options. The exchange hotel is our favourite for food. Always delicious, well priced meals. Highly recommended.

Visiting Kyogle for the weekend and thought we'd give the pub a try. Had the lamb cutlets and seafood plate, both delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Great pub in Kyogle .. New owners took over in November and I really changing things for the better amazing Seafood the last weekend of every month from Friday night through to Sunday .. depending of course, unless they sell out best to call and book ??'???'???'???'?

Lovely old pub with beautiful features. Rooms were clean and smelt lovely. Towels and soap provided. Share bathroom and lounge room. The food was great. Staff were friendly. Would recommend.

Amazing place. Oldy worldy original pub. Neat and tidy. Very reasonable prices. Excellent service. The couple who run it care and love what they do. Will be coming back again!

What a fab pub! Nice beer garden area. Food was deeelish! We had two children who devoured their meals, the garlic bread was yummo and our one person with a dairy food intolerance loved the roast pumpkin salads sans feta cheese. Lots of nice gluten free options on the menu too. Chef and bar crew could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend.

Best steak in Kyogle and the staff instantly made us feel welcome even though we are just passing through.

Excellent budget accommodation and great drink prices. 65 dollars for a twin room with shared bathroom. No a/C, but a fan and big window to get a breeze in. Sink in room, comfortable enough bed, tea making in guest lounge. Very good service. Hotel made a mistake with booking so rather than the twin we'd booked we each got a room. In the bar, glasses of wine for six bucks each, from reputable labels. Craft beer schooners for seven bucks. And on top of all that, the place has kept its original look and feel as a great old country pub.

Just a good ol fashioned country pub

Not bad. Only a few upstairs rooms make for easy share of ladies showers while I was here for 3 days. Clean and cheap option. I was happy that I tried this accommodation out. No Air Con available so avoid hot days/nights if you can. The rooms are well away from the hubbub of downstairs.
Staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
The old world sitting room with tv and fridge is nice added extract. Note there is no tv in rooms.

They, have come to the beautiful little town of Kyogle area and recked the bottom pub for ever!.
Glad to hear that the present hotel group has sold up and leaving this town.
They are not publicans of country pubs like we are use to.
Wish them all the best in stuffing up the next towns pub they buy.
Hopeless operator of a great old country pubs and closed or sold within 12months of purchase.

Meanwhile, destroyed our local community hub.
Good bye & Good riddens to them.
Let's hope the new Waugh Group understand what we like.

Plenty of good old fashion service with a smile here.. great range of drinks and something for everybody on the lunch menu.. try the Fillet Steak with Roasted Chats and Seasonal Vegetables (Zucchini, Snow Peas, Broccoli, Pumpkin and Carrots) plus a choice of sauces/gravy.. Beautifully cooked, it was delicious.. definately going back

There is NO STAR rating as far as I am concerned , but it wouldn't let me post my review until I chose one .
Tuesday afternoon I phoned this Hotel to enquire about having lunch there the next day . As we were travelling with a dog we wanted to make sure ahead of time if it was ok ( the smart thing to do , we thought ) . The gentleman on the phone was very helpful & said that it was Ok as long as we had our dog on a lead . He also mentioned that there was a nice shady area that we could use which sounded perfect to us . When we arrived at the Hotel on Wednesday around lunch time my husband went inside to enquire how to get around to the section where our dog was allowed . The 2 bar waitresses were quite rude to him & said that there was " NO DOGS allowed AT ALL" at the Hotel . My husband tried to explain that I was told the exact opposite the day before , but they would not listen to him . Needless to say we went elsewhere for our lunch , and we definitely would not recommend this Hotel to any of our friends & family .

sad that the kitchen closed early on a Saturday night as the place has a friendly vibe - the ginger beer on tap was awesome

Great little county pub with the most amazing ceramic toilets. They would have to be a museum piece - don't see many like them these days. Oh, the food as fantastic, and the beer is clean&Cold!

Loved the cold beer, but the feature of the night was the lamb shanks. Very tender and juicy, on a small bed of mash with a very tasty sauce over it. There was an assortment of other vegetable which were cooked and some roasted.. This was a delicious meal, which I heartily enjoyed and would have again. Fantastic. Thank you.
