Had the Nacho Supreme. Corn chips were so soggy. Not much flavour. Quite oily. Presentation was better. Also had the 3 tacos . Pulled pork was good. Chicken had no flavor. Tempura fish was ok but the tortilla was soggy and falling apart. You need a knife and fork to eat it

The manager served us and she was lovely, so accomodating and professional. The food was alright, a little cold but overall decent. We had each of the tacos and the nachos, the fish taco was the standout. It's pretty loud and hard to talk at all in there. For the price point I think I expected more, but overall a great experience and a fun night for groups.

This place has stayed true to its roots. Great tacos and margaritas (plus a full bar) all in a no-fuss setting with a Mexican vibe.
Perfect if you can nab a table outside on the side street under the trees.

I was here with friends for Taco Tuesday, we move from one of the tables outside (bcs was so hot inside) and one of my friend told one person through the bar that we was moving tables for bring the food to the correct table. Was one hour in a half to have my tacos, all my friends clearly was finished long time ago. I was the only person in the table that don't receive food. Definitely my last time in place

Had to wait for 30 minutes for the food but it was so good that it was worth the wait. Big portion of nachos but a bit soggy, tasted amazing tho. Well seasoned wings. Generous portions of hot dog but nothing special, not recommended. They mistaken our pork nachos to chicken nachos and they were happy to change. The cocktails are nice and came out quick. The service was excellent too. I brought in a birthday cake to surprise my friend and they were so supportive by helping me hide it until desert came out lol.

El Loco's bar is a must go place for a Mexican themed bar!
They have a solid range of drinks and cocktails, go for the tequila and stay for the hot sauce and food
We loved their crispy quesadilla and cheesy nachos.
We deffs gonna go back for more!

The food is amazing and well priced for what you get. The atmosphere is also chilled. Get in quick especially on Friday's and weekends as seats disappear quickly.

We order a $28 special available on Wednesdays (usually $40), steak DIY taco platter. Gorgeous cooked tender steak sliced into pieces with a range of salads and condiments and 8 tortillas. Lunch for 2. Service was great! I loved the decoration of the place, although the food (although delicious) is not authentic Mexican, the place is perfectly decorated as a Mexican cantina. Will definitely be recommending El Loco ?

We went for taco Tuesday, tried 2 different shooters and a couple of the margaritas. Everything was perfect other than the beef brisket taco, it felt very gamey and didn't really melt in my mouth like a proper brisket should do. All around for the prices was perfect my partner had the torta sandwich and the beef brisket was good on that. I just felt like with the brisket taco, maybe sitting in storage for too long or maybe frozen. Just didn't taste fresh, and was really dry and flavourless. All in all though amazing experience, impeccable service and will be coming back for the specials

Very colourful and vibrant decor, alongside a great playlist, made for a fun, relaxed atmosphere that transported us straight to a bustling Mexican fiesta. Excellent service - friendly staff, attentive and knowledgeable. Be prepared for a wait during peak times, but trust me, the food and experience are well worth it. I will definitely be returning to El Loco!

Very friendly staff, my wife and I were greeted with a warm smile the minute we stepped foot inside El loco at Excsior by staff.
Food was very fresh, fast and bursting with flavour. We didn't have a single issue with our experience.

Overall we rated our dining experience 10/10 and plan to return very soon.

Absolutely love this place! Been there twice on Fridays. They get quite busy, make sure you have a reservation. A bit wait on food and drinks understandably but all worth it. The food's lovely and cocktails to die for. I like my cocktails strong- so margaritas for the win!! The taco share platter was a hit too. The staff is lovely.

Went here for a birthday party last night and we ordered the set menu. The food was absolutely amazing!! And there was so much it just kept coming, and we couldn't stop eating! Highly recommend this venue and get the set menu!! Thanks for a great night out

Very nice place with reasonable prices for the big portions and nice margaritas! I love that they have little tables outside it's very nice to sit there with friends. Only thing I will say is that they close the outside section wayyy too early (i think around 10?) and their tap water is absolutely undrinkable as it tastes like it has something else in it. Apart from that will come back!

We went there for taco Tuesday. They use online ordering with a QR code on the phone which worked without any problems and makes the ordering very easy to manage. Also they have very nice cocktails with some standard and also specials. Has a nice atmosphere, but can get a little loud.
I recommend that you reserve a table as it was pretty packed.

Good location being close to Central, tasty food and very quick service. Went there on a busy night and the food came out fast, it was delicious, friendly staff!
The drinks weren't that good to be fair. The shot I had that included coffee had burnt coffee in it which doesn't taste good at all and the cocktails weren't too bad but nothing exciting either.
So all good for a meal but drinks - not sure.

The best Mexican, bar none that I know of. The service is exemplary, the food is fantastic. The vegan options are fantastic, I could truly live off of the polenta tacos. The horchata is amazing, and the only one I've found that is dairy free. Absolutely genius. The ambience is gorgeous, the staff are so friendly. I so so highly recommend this place, I can happily eat here alone or bring friends. Hands down incomparable.

3.3 - Food A tad below average actually! The quality of food was okay bit hello flavour? The Nachos, were left largely uneaten and even though we had a group of 9, we didn't eat much of it. Colleagues said that salt was missing, and in most of the other meals too. My tacos were okay but not delicious. No sauce or lemon etc. It was an interesting place to sit in aesthetically and close to our office which is why we gave it a go.

Been here twice, and it never disappoints. Just be careful when booking, as if they are fully booked you will have a pop up to book at a different location with a cost. The url will say El Loco but it is a pop up booking for a different location and different restaurant. ??'?

It isn't EL LOCO and you will then be charged when you show up at El Loco and miss the other booking. Loose your $200 deposit then have to chase the refund. It needs to clearly indicate that the restaurant you are trying to book for is fully booked.

Not scam you and redirect you to book a new venue without indicating it.

This place was so good for a relaxed dinner. For a $25 special on this Wednesday (usually $39) a steak DIY taco platter. Beautifully cooked tender steak sliced into pieces with a range of salads and condiments and 8 tortillas. Such great food at a fantastic price. Couldn't ask for a better meal while visiting Sydney on a business trip. Service was also super friendly and enthusiastic with staff keen to help. Will definitely be recommending El Loco when I hear that friends and colleagues are heading to Sydney.

Food was below average. The tacos can use a little lemon drizzle especially on the fish.
All the food would benefit if it had more flavour like coriander and more herbs traditionally used in Mexico. All in all not bad but not worth coming back again.
The prices were really decent and the portion sizes were good.

Sort of a chance finding really walking past. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Nachos were incredible and the frozen margaritas also amazing. I'm not sure if it was the manager or not but the waitress was absolutely lovely and made the experience all that much better. Highly recommend
