The food was great, no issues there, however the service was extremely disappointing. Last night they had a 49% off cocktails special between 4-6pm for members. When it was my turn to order unfortunately it clocked on 6pm. I was told the special has finished and I therefore can't order the 49% off. As disappointed as I was , I accepted it is what it is. However, I pointed down to the menu that explicitly said "HAPPY HOUR COCKTAILS 6-9PM EVERYDAY'. He said he can't do that for that night due to the 49% off special which delays the happy hour until 7pm. Both myself and a few customers behind said that doesn't matter, it says in writing on their menu 6-9pm 'EVERYDAY' so they have to do it for that price, but they rudely refused what was written on the menu and told us we need to wait until 7pm. Extremely poor and rude service. If thats a legitimate rule each time there is a 49% off, fair enough, but that needs to be written and communicated for the customers. It came across in that moment like they had no idea what they were doing and created a rule on the spot to avoid charging less, instead of doing the right thing and upholding what was clearly written on their menu.

On top of that, the service in the bistro was terrible too. When we walked in, we walked passed at least 3 workers, none bothered to greet us. We walked around for a few minutes trying to find our name on the table we booked, however no worker offered to help us find our table. It was just not a very welcoming atmosphere and extremely disappointing overall.

Newly opened. How can they get the simple stuff so wrong. I'm sure they would have paid some interior designer. Have they ever thought about the acoustics. So noisy couldn't hear yourself think let alone have a conversation. Will never go back. Simple stuff what a disaster

Great suburban pub, with wonderful, friendly atmosphere. Helpful and attentive staff.

We had Schnitzel & chips on the lunch special, as well as a Portuguese Chicken Burger. Both were excellent, service was quick.

As a local in Heathcote I went with my family eager to try. Terribly disappointed. Over priced and my meal was inedible. The chicken wings were fried to the point they were chewy and clearly over cooked/burnt. I ordered the bang bang chicken salad. It was definitely not banging. Nothing about it was fresh. The vegetables were soggy with brown lettuce, the lime adjacent was clearly prepped the day before and was browning, the chicken looked exactly like packet processed chicken you buy from the supermarket and put on a sandwich. This was disguised in what can only be described as peanut butter and a packet of nobby's nuts over the top. Will not be returning. It will be interesting to see what happens to the heathcote hotel.

We were very excited to hear that the tavern was having a make over. Came up for food which was lovely . Staff were friendly . Kids play area sucks ,, tiny room with a square climbing frame. Less tv,s and more spent on ambience would be good instead of a large square area with hard chairs to sit on

The most disgusting manners bad service along with uncooked chicken, served with cold vegetables. The chef was happy to replace the meal but when we asked for a refund the manager came at us with attitude, telling us that our food was fine and cooked .So why agree it was no good for a replacement but not ok for a refund...also Apparently chicken is pink ? Anyway she was happy for us not to come back and we most definitely will never eat there again. No wonder the place was empty!

I went here on Friday for an early dinner . Was well impressed with everything overall . The meal was quick , perfectly cooked , hot and the service was fast . I did go at 5.30pm though as I've just moved and have nothing at home. What I did notice is the security looking like Aquaman ??waiting for the trouble. Not in Engadream surely not .

Thought I was going to have a great time on the bevs. I was rudely shocked! I was served chicken poo and greasy kababs, fantastic!
Tried to drown my pain away with alcohol and darts, the alcohol was on par however I figured out I had to bring my own darts! Over my dead body!

Nice place! Could use a little more atmosphere in the family area but for a drink and a bet and a game of pool it does the job nicely.

The best rump steak I've had in Sydney in 20 years. Well cooked. The service excellent and staff friendly and thanks Shane for a scrumptious dinner, well deserved. Will definitely be back soon with friends.

After hovering around the first counter for a while, we sat ourselves at a table. It was sticky, zero atmosphere in the place, still hadn't been acknowledged by anyone = second red flag. Went to the bar to work out where to order food, however, security and staff were too busy talking to each other to greet us. We waited for a good 5 minutes before deciding on going elsewhere. Would never visit again.

Waited 40 minutes for a salad from the bistro. Not enough staff on any section all night. Blonde lady out the front was horrible and rude. Felt sorry for the young staff who have to be led by such incompetent management.

Great venue good place to meet friends and have a great meal at the bistro and have a drink with mates

Came down from bathurst, staff were friendly, music was great and all round a good place to have a drink at with a nice atmosphere

No where for Adults who don't want to smell smoke to sit. Visited on a Wednesday night table of adults drinking two for one cocktails while their kids ran around squealing and yelling. Had to leave.

Some nice changes opening up areas & also some nice craft beers on tap, good to see some changes.

Engadine tavern may seem bad but it is a great place to go and meet people, good spot

It's a nice pub, we came on Tuesday night and it was very quiet. Our meals were very good, the bar staff attentive and friendly. Other nights are a lot busier, but if you want a quiet no fuss place, a good meal, a Tuesday night will tick the boxes.

Food was awesome. Well priced and good size portions. Presentation was A1. Seating could use an uograde

All I can say is yummy!!! The new bistro at the tavern is awesome and have not been disappointed with any of the meals I have had!! The pasta is just one of the standouts for me and the chicken wings the service was also excellent!! Hats of to the new head chef!!!

$8.20 for a long neck of Cooper's Green, $5.20 for a stubbie and they have the ordacity to ask you to sign a petition to stop Dan Murphy's.

Apparently when you come from dinner across the road you arnt allowed to be served at the bottle shop? The security guard had no answer not even that I was intoxicated other than its responsibility which makes no sense.

Seems pretty run down. The bistro is ok but the beer is good. Some of the language coming from the bogans there has a lot to be desired. A good pub would oust someone who's had too many. Where I come from you wouldn't last long with foul language like that.

Didn't expect much from the food. But damn did it deliver; very generous serving. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Best parma in the shire so far.
