Best steak I've had in years. Busy as in there, huge line up for the 1 register (20+ minutes for me) but definitely worth it.
Rib eye was simply perfect. Mushroom Aranchini was mind bending.

The bistro was heaving on a Wednesday night, and it's easy to see why. The food was well above average pub fare, and reasonably priced too. The schnitzel I had was excellent, real chicken and not over-crumbed. Lucky we made a booking though!

Great atmosphere, the best food and excellent service. Karaoke on a Friday night is so much fun! I have high praise and respect for the staff at the Elanora who value and look after all their customers, 5 stars ?????

New menu is very disappointing. We often went to the Elanora for the Karage chicken which is now off the menu and replace with sweet chili chicken tenders. We also ordered the poutine fries (new menu) which was nice but the chorizo was shriveled up well over cooked.

The staff are extremely friendly and very good at their job. Food was really good. Great deals for seniors which is very good in today's economy. It was very busy for a Monday when we called in but the staff coped very well. Great local pub.

The Angus steak was dry, just like Angus, the food manager's personality.
We decided to have dinner at Eleanor tonight. We drove over 40 minutes each way to celebrate something remarkable in our life. I ordered 1620 Premium Black Angus Rump medium rare, $ 33 with gravy sauce plus Creamy garlic Prawns, $12. ( my order was number 26)
Forty-five minutes later, I had this very dry Angus Rump at my table. I called the waitress, who gently took it back to the kitchen. Over 20 minutes later, I got the new dish back with the same old problem.
I explained the situation to Angus, the manager. I mentioned I was happy to pay for the meal but not the steak. He rudely threw the napkins on the plate and said, unfortunately, everything came from the same kitchen and walked away with the plate.
Soon he came with 22 dollars cash. He put it on the table and said, that's your money back, without asking if we would like anything else except steak.
I was so shocked I did not realize I paid 45 dollars for the dish.
Long story short, I had to return to the counter to question why Angus had refunded only the steak even though he took the plate away without me touching the mashed potato, fries and garlic prawns.
Why, Angus, do you leave your house in the freezing weather to ruin somebody else dinner?
Why don't you resign if you hate your job so much?
I worked in hospitality for over five years. People can forget what you said, but they will never forget how they were treated. You should know it better as you are the manager.
I am never coming back.
I was so polite the whole time. I could not believe what was happening. I returned home without dinner, thinking how come you are the manager?
Next time I will go to Maccas or Guzman and Gomez.
I hope you become a better manager someday.

We went there for mothers day dinner. It was a busy night as expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was out quick despite how busy it was. Boy was the food delicious and filling. So many good choices. We will be coming back again

Food is always on point. Service is excellent. We have never been disappointed

If you like big plates and big meals, this is the place to go. You definitely get what you pay for. All staff were friendly and helpful. Meals came out super fast and hot. Beers on tap were on the higher average price side, but plenty to choose from. Only negative was we were there when karaoke was on and old mates singing was terrible!!!!

The food was DELICIOUS & such a wide variety & range of dishes.

Recent renovations at the Elanora Hotel have updated the decore. The staff greeted regulars and created a friendly atmosphere for all patrons. Food did not disappoint in taste and portion size. On a Sunday and Wednesday night it was clearly necessary to make an online booking for a table to ensure seating. We arrived early for a 5.30pm booking and could only see two tables inside that were not booked. Menu was extensive catering to all tastes.

This was our second visit to the Elanora and both experiences have been excellent. The food is fantastic with very generous portions and the service is really great. Good atmosphere too. This place is obviously a local favourite as it was quite busy but the service never suffered for it. Can't wait to visit again!

I grew up on the central coast. The Elanora was not the place to go back then. My sister who still resides on the coast booked us a table for Father's Day and has been absolutely raving about the food to me for months. And she was right. The food was incredible. But what wasn't incredible. The Manager. His name is Angus and he is horrible. Clearly hates his job. Mate, you need to calm down and let the patrons enjoy their $40 meals. I'm sorry you had a time restraint, I get it. But there's no need to be a tosser.

Had lunch there today, and service was great, but I was very disappointed with the "scotch fillet" that I ordered. It was a huge piece of steak with lots of fat around the outside. IT WAS NOT SCOTCH FILLET... This is false advertising.. Everything else was lovely.

Outstanding food.... you certainly won't leave here hungry!! Very tasty food with ultra generous portions and reasonably priced. Staff are all lovely and friendly..... a definite to come back to again and again.

food & atmosphere was sensational , food service was quick and meals were decent size for the price - didn't go home hungry like some places on the coast - only down side was 1 of the table staff, she was very rude and you could tell she either had somewhere else to be or just plainly didn't want to be there in the first place - she tried to take plates that weren't finished ( on more than one occasion throughout the night ), then when she was told that wasn't finished she gave a rude look and walk to the next table, we asked the same lady for take away container that she sort of threw on the table, clearly we needed 2 as there were 2 completely different meals that could not go into the same container
maybe a refresher course in people service & table service might be needed for this one - a simple is that finished or "can i take that for you " could go a long way !!!!
overall very impressed & will visit again fingers crossed no poor table service experience

Been to many pubs and clubs on the Coast, but the food at the Elanora is definitely the best. Food portions are absolutely massive and cooked to perfection, and the prices are on par with everyone else, but definitely better value for money. Definitely coming back.

Super impressed with this place! The menu is huge so there's plenty of options, the meal sizes are really decent for what you pay and I love that they give you a container to take home leftovers. We came for a birthday and the service was wonderful, didn't wait long for the meals. Atmosphere was nice, there's seating inside and out, and it's wheelchair friendly. Highly recommend!

Better than your average pub. Nice, clean with a good family feel. Service and food were great. Prices are on the higher side for some dishes but that's to be expected. Would definitely recommend the Eleanora Hotel for your next get together. Recommend to book ahead as gets pretty busy.

Very very good. It took a while because I'm old school , but I really like the new look, vibe and feel of the pub. And the food...... awesome, generous and perfect as always.

This pub food is as good if not better than many name restaurants in this area. The steak was a touch over medium rare but 99.9 out of 100 is still excellent. Sweets could be a little more daring but hey, they got a good formula why stuff it up. Staff are outstanding as well.

Good place for a pub feed. Definitely recommend the Sunday roast if you're a pork belly fan.
Good selection of wine and beers.
Cocktails were average and lacked flavour, they all taste like plain strong spirit.

Amazing pub food with all the old favorites plus a lot more. Had trouble deciding from the huge menu so we asked one of the staff. "you can't go wrong with anything.. It's all good!" they definitely weren't wrong.. everyone's meal Hit the spot! Super friendly and helpful staff..

The Reno's are great, probably the best place to watch sport on the coast now.The menu is very extensive, maybe too extensive because we were waiting a long time for our food and the burgers came out pretty average, the deep south burger is basically a scnitty burger. But none the less it's catering to all but just don't want to forgo quality of quantity.

Great food. A bit noisy but tolerable.The staff were very efficient.The best staff I have seen working harmoniously together and patrons were attended with friendliness by the very pleasant staff. Congrats also to the cooks the food was great.

I will keep it at 5 stars because the food is still good and the staff are very friendly. However, to be brutally honest, the renovations have changed the atmosphere. Gone are the separate bars and the beautiful wooden finishes. The old saloon bar where live music and Karaoke was performed is also gone. Replaced with a big screen. I don't blame the staff or management, but point the finger at John Singleton. He has bought a really good pub and changed it. For better or worse, I will let u decide, maybe it's necessary, and others love it, and I'm sure I will get used to it over time. I loved the old balcony, but now the views have been replaced with a high wooden wall that blocks the park and mountains that made sitting outside so pleasant. This is my local and I will continue to go there, but I loved the old look and now it's changed. Is it better? I don't know. Let's hope the pub continues to evolve in the right direction.

I have just returned tonight from my first visit to the Elanora Hotel since it's reopening. I cant believe what a total disaster the reno has been. As a former very regular customer, what a disappointment. It has become one big sports bar with every wall covered with blaring TVs showing gridiron. The staff don't have a clue what they are doing. The place is noisy. i have seen more appealing decor in a school canteen. Food is fine as always, but that's where the praise ends. John has done some great work locally with Saddles and Bonython so I can't understand how the group got this one so horribly wrong. If the target demograph was bogan, congratulations, you have nailed it.Sadly, not for me again.

The service was generally good. Especially the lady controlling entry...she had a great way of dealing with patrons in this difficult time.Bar staff also really helpful and welcoming.However...as a long time visitor to the Ellie I have to say that the food has gone down hill...Onion rings so oily that you need several napkins to clean up afterwards.Garlic and cheese pizza and simple pepperoni pizza (must mention that asking for this was no problem .. thank you). Was so oily that they were worse than a Dominos pizza ?!?!Burgers...Ellie was a go to place for me and my friends always a great burger...but now ... mine the Boston which I have many time before and loved was inedible...the bun was so stale that the stale flavoured the rest of the burger my friend had the big bird...well shes now in the toilet. When I took my burger back saying that the bun was stale... the response was a .. its not stale we had the bread deliver 2/3 days ago ! Not stale I was surprised to have this discussion when the rest of the staff could not do enough.I regretfully write this hoping that the Ellie raises it game and become the place we all remember and love!Two stars for the service...none for the food.
