I have ordered a medium rare steak but got one almost well done. Definitely overcooked. I asked the chef but he argued that it was medium rare and refused to recook another one. as a regular customer I was very disappointed. I will upload the photo of the 'medium rare' steak, pls tell me if I was wrong.

I ordered 400gr rump and the quality of the meat is good ??'?.. i love the sauce and the vibe..
I can say the portion is kinda big..
I'm so full while driving back to canberra..

Will definitely go again to try other menu..

Best stonegrill I've had. The stonegrill stones stay hot for very long, so no need to eat quickly. They offer many types of meats, and the sides are all nice.The place is nice and cosy. My favourite place for steak!

They say this place has the best steaks in Australia! Well, I reckon they come pretty close!
I loved cooking my own steak on a hot stone! And it saved me $5!!
BUT - Be ready for the fat to spatter on your clothes, so don't wear your best jumper! And it's smoky!! But it's sure worth it! I'll be back!!

I haven't even finished dinner yet, so yum! We ordered schnitzel and steak. Steak came on a hot rock to cook at table. Served in five minutes flat. Food superb, service superb, so helpful. A big noisy room but nicely arranged. Will totally come again when I'm in the area.

What a great place off the Federal highway, gets busy and great music. Just stopped in for a quick beer. Good atmosphere. I was silly enough to sit outside which was a bit chilli though getting full. Thursday night raffles gets busy. Pizza and food looks amazing.

$10 more for a chargrilled meal than a stone grill is ridiculous as you get the same sides.

Would not recommend paying $13 for the steak topper, you get 3 prawns and 3 pieces of salt and pepper calamari (frozen type)

I now know what all the fuss is about regarding the food that comes out of this homely pub.
I had a scotch fillet steak and was cooked to perfection and just need a little salt guys. That's all I could advise.

Every time I go fishing up the coast I'll be definitely pulling in to get my carnivore top up dinner coming back home to Canberra.

The spicy schnitzel is sensational. It will burn you a new face hole but my god it was worth it. Last place to lung a dart and slap at the same time before Canberra.
Staff awesome, food great, presentation of the pub was amazing! Well done.
Didn't win and blew a few hunge on the slappers but that's the breaks.

This was my first time here. Came Sunday for lunch. Wonderful atmosphere and the meals are huge. Garlic bread could feed 3-6 people. Food was delicious. Will be back again.

What a dining experience. You don't have to cook it yourself but if you want to you can. Beautiful cuts of meat and the pizzas are great too.

First time I came to this place and had myself a Rump stone grilled steak, definitely will be go-to steakhouse next time whenever I visited Canberra

Never in my life I have eaten such ambrosial ribeye! Just fell in love with that place from the first sight. The staff, the manner of service, the atmosphere, it's something that I'll go for again.

Great customer service + huge portion sizes. The wagyu rump w/ surf and turf was great.

Great food and service. Highly recommended booking. Staff were very nice, as we originally booked to be outside, they let us inside due to the heat.

Being coeliac some dining options are very limited, so when I saw that I could have a GF pizza I decided to give it a go - the phone is "mid-demo" - it was amazing!!! Even hubby couldn't believe it was GF. Planning to return with friends ??'????'??

For the first time I visited this place and I won't forget how yummy the foods are, my cravings for steak was awesome it reached my expectations. Steak in a stone grill however you like to cook and its very nice, serving per person is very affordable and lovely staff too. I highly recommend this place. Thank you will come back again

I had dinner recently at the Eagle Hawk on both a Friday and Saturday night with a group of friends. The service and meals were excellent. We got there around 6pm on the first night to make sure we could get a table and we were directled to a free table by a friendly staff member. The dining room got pretty busy after that but our meals came in good time and we all enjoyed them. Drink service from the bar was efficient with a good selection of beers on tap. The tables were cleared of plates and empty glasses regularly. For the Saturday night we booked a table to make sure our group of 20 could sit together and like the night before everyone had a good feed and an enjoyable time.

Pretty good considering the price.
Air-conditioned rooms, well designed bathrooms. Decent pool. Have to walk to get from block to block to get to your room.
Breakfast needs improvements though as well as general service. They seem to be understaffed.

Omg best steak experience ever! Worth the money spent and then some! Kids meals were even tasty and well priced. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, great steak. It can be crowded & noisy during busy lunch hours - makes it difficult to have a conversation but the food is great!

Great venue for large groups. We had 120 people for a Sunday lunch and the service was quick, friendly and the food was great. Highly recommend.

Very relaxed and cosy. Lovely fire for these colder days. Good wines and a great menu.

Nice wood fire inside also wood fire pizza. Not sure if pizza topping is fresh. Chicken pops are not great they were bland of flavour but chicken was cooked ok.

The service is very good, after we ordered, about four minutes we had our first meal.

Meals arrived, one of us ordered a steak meal, come on a hot stone.
You cook the steak how you like it to cook .

There is beer on the tap, with soft drinks.
There is pizza you can get.

We had a nice day.
