This small Bowls Club caters for some local regular keen bowlers and locals. There is 'barefoot bowls' on a Friday night and they also have a raffle. Tickets are $1 and there are three prize draws. With only a small number of visitors you're in with a chance to win.
They have an area outside for kids to play as well as tables and chairs for drinks and dining.
There are three or four beers on tap and other bottled beers and wine available. There are poker machines at one end of the club room.
They have small alla carte menu that offers chicken parmigiana, steak sandwich, beef burger veggie burger, chicken burger and fish & chips.
On occasions the chef does a special menu for a special event example Valentine's Day, Anzac Day.
This Friday was a two course meal. A main course of roast lamb, potato bake, broccoli and gravy. Dessert featured a Turkish delight cheesecake. All up for $17. 50.
I ordered fish and chips from the alla carte menu. The fish piece was small but moist and crispy. It was served with beer battered fries, a tiny little bit of salad ie limp green leaves and a cherry tomato, cut in half and the equivalent of a slice of cucumber, cut in four. There was no dressing but tartare sauce on the side. Overall it was quite a small meal priced at $14 50.
Ok for a small eater who didn't want a large meal.
My friends had roast lamb. Two said it was lovely but another didn't eat the lamb meat as it was sinewy and tough.
The cheesecake desserts were cut into heart shapes... as it was a pre Valentine's night dinner . This was served with a heart shaped chocolate and a miniature Turkish Delight bar and cream.
The raffle prizes also had a Valentine's theme.
This little Club is making efforts to do its best in terms of offering variety and events for its local members and regulars.
