Nice staff, but definitely not worth having lunch/dinner. It doesn't look fresh and for "salad" they just put cos lettuce with Parmesan cheese on top ?????.

Excellent pub, amazing name and the most wonderful staff. The squid was mind blowing and the steak was cooked to absolute medium rare perfection.

Not a local but have to say we were treated like one. What a great vibe from an early start we left to attend an event and csme back for a meal. Them pizzas be bloody good!!! Sorry ate the evidence.

The new restaurant is amazing. The food was excellent and so was the service. If you're looking for a great pub meal this is the place to go.

Im not a footy fan, but really enjoyed the enthusiasm of the crowd, cheering on their beloved Swans. Food was great. A perfect place to farewell our dear friend, Mike.

Good vibrant pub. The bistro has a decent selection of food but they tend to run out of certain things when busy. Gets very loud when very busy so if you're looking for a quieter pub then this isn't it.

Solid pub grub, generous serves at a good price. Enjoyed the wings, arancini and squid. Parmi was good with nice chips. Pork with Asian salad was ok, would definitely recommend cooking pork in the sauce rather than drizzling over. Fish and chips looked great though I didn't try it.

It doesn't look like much from the outside but the outdoor section is an amazing space! The food is really good too. My top pick is the buffalo hot wings. The staff are friendly & welcoming.

Was a nice local pub with a great out door area! Didn't get a chance to eat a proper meal but the appetizers we did have was delicious.

I've got a soft spot for this place. But $13 a schooner means I won't be back till I've doubled my salary.

Worst experience I've had out since post-lockdown. You would think management would be happy to have paying customers back and that providing good, friendly customer service would be top of the priority list. Will not be going back and if you arrive and see the bald male manager is on I suggest you turn around and find one of the other great venues in the area to go to instead. He was rude to both customers and his own staff and very intolerant. If you want to have a quick, quiet meal you can enjoy the food and then get out before you are forced out I suppose, but if you want to have a good night out with friends I definitely recommend finding a different place.

Great beer garden, wide array of beer choices and food.

Best pub in Balmain! Great experience, from the friendly welcome from Sarj on the door, who keeps the chilled atmosphere in place, to the awesome bar and kitchen staff. Great beer garden too.

My partner and myself hosted a function there and were really happy with the staff, the food and the upstairs area!

Great Hotel. Many a fond memory here playing two up on Anzac Day.l or having a beer with friends. Hopeful we can get back to times like those again.

Day time/happy hour is a great old school pub for anyone. After 9pm 20 something crowd comes in and a very different atmosphere.

Fantastic beer garden with plenty of both open air and undercover spots to sit at. Service is quick and drinks are typically priced for the Balmain area. The beer garden is also dog friendly as long as they're kept on a leash.
