I added a Coleslaw on the side ($8), to round out the meal.
Good value for money for an inner-west Sydney pub I thought.
I was keen to try out the food here, as the Footy club I play for have just signed a sponsorship deal with The Cricketers, and I'm planning on eating the odd meal here on a regular basis.

Great pub for dogs and watching sport but needs to have food being served between 2-5pm. Sucks to have beers without a few hot chips to snack on!

If you crave Shnitty and Chips, this is the best place to go to!! Great service, cold beer, tasty wine, and awesome food!!! We definitely will be back!!

Sadly it is not what it used to be ??'". lt was the Monkey Bar a decade ago and was a great place to eat, drink and dance the night away. Not any more. Mostly vacant. Try Bald Rock in East Balmain which is fabulous.

Really lovely staff. Helpful and friendly. Limited range of cocktail materials but staff did their best offering alternatives.
Great for a multitude of beer choices on tap. Extensive gambling room, bistro (which we didn't try) old fashioned pub, but in a clean way!

Great atmosphere and service. We were here because of a cruise. Toured around town and sat here for a drink. We didn't get to eat as we were here on a Monday. Kitchen is closed Sundays and Mondays. We really enjoyed this stop!

Watched Super Bowl there. Service very good. Recommend the burger. Excellent!

Went to the restaurant, Italian? Burgers and schnitty, no pizzas. Could have called it french or NZ cuisine. Not sure what NZ cuizine is either.

The Cricketers has just always been consistently great both for a casual drink and a meal out. Back when they had Balmain Burger Co, their burgs were the best around for a while. Now they've swapped it out for The Little Emerald, which is some really high quality Chinese.

It was an unusual move to open The Little Emerald in there, but it turns out it makes for fantastic slightly fancy pub grub. Smashing prawn toast in sriracha alongside a cold pint is the most satisfying thing in the world.

Staff always super friendly too, and food comes quickly and can be conveniently ordered from the table using your phone.

We ate at the Emerald which is a recent addition to the pub and serves Asian cuisine. Lovely staff and good food.

The salt and pepper tofu was fabulous but the Szechwan braised beef was so so. The beef was amazingly tender but, the sauce was not so nice and quite different to what I would expect from this dish which is my go to and love. It lacked the garlicky and chili punch I expect with this dish.

The pub itself is lovely and staff great. Reasonably priced drinks and nice atmosphere.

Just been to the Little Emerald Chinese restaurant under the Cricketers Arms. Food was ok , but a little too strong in flavour. Steamed entrees were the best. But it was the concept of service that I had a problem with. You need to scan a QR code to order your food and asked for a tip up front. All designed to save on staff but that is a concern to me. I'm old fashioned. I like to speak to a waitress/ waiter when ordering my food and give a tip at the end depending on that service.

Even though I don't drink alcohol I love going for a social gathering to drink my Zero Beers with friends and family at the Cricketers Balmain. The service is very fast, very efficient and friendly too.
The bathrooms are clean with pleasant aromas, (very important after downing a few drinks).
I highly recommend coming here for your next social gathering and be served by the amazing Tommy, Lauren, Astrid and co.

Nice little pub with some good (but limited range) burgers.
Trivia on a Thursday night with a really good host was a lot of fun.

Good old pub with a bit of seating outside and screens/pub food and taps on the inside. Has a nice vibe.

Rude, unfriendly and judgemental
The person behind the bar refused to serve us a drink because he said my partner slurred his speech... err that's the way he talks...

This place deserves 5 stars for 2 reasons: nicest bartender and great selection of beers(stout was great).

I really like this place and visit often. And it's great that it opens til midnight most days.Bothers me a bit that it doesn't open til midnight on weekends and that sometimes you can't find parking.

Good burger deal and cool Staff. Bit of a quiet vibe sometimes but makes it great for a pint and a catch up. Overall, it's a very nice pub!
