Great vibe! A really feel good place to hang out with some friends! We had their famous nachos - and would recommend it! The only thing I would have changed was having music outside, and they could do with more toilets

Terrible ! Appalling food- don't order the nachos unless you want to dig through a pile of stodge. Very slow at the bar only to find that they had NO white wine at all! And this is a pub!! And then you have to get back into the bar queues to order the awful food. It's noisy and full of 18 year olds who probably don't care what they eat :) Go somewhere else ...

Nice spot for catching up with friends. The ample space means you don't feel rushed to leave with a crowd.

Good pub options for food. I'm not vegetarian but I ordered the tofu chips as something different and really enjoyed them!

Great local pub worth checking out when visiting Newtown. Large courtyard and good food. There are so many pubs in Newtown but the Courthouse is a favourite for many people.

Older type suburban pub. Great atmosphere with friendly staff, and amazing cross section of the local people. There's a good variety of food available at reasonable prices. Indoor dining available and there's an outdoor covered dining area and a separate outside smoking area.
This pub is well worth a visit.....more than once.

A wonderful somewhat hidden pub with a large outdoors seating area!! Great vibes and even has a little arcade! They've got some yummy food selections as well!

A Newtown institution, the Courthouse courtyard is a great spot to sit on a sunny day or warm evening, and the older interior pub is small but charming if you can ignore the pokies at the entrance. This place is often very busy, being well located and dog-friendly. I'm typically not a fan of the QR code ordering, but in a place as large as this, it is actually much easier than queuing at the bar.

Laid back, very dog friendly pub with lots of bar eats and great local beers on tap. Staff is very friendly and there is plenty of seating. Few pinball machines and other bar games. This place doesn't take itself very seriously and you can feel that relaxed vibe as you walk in.

Quite possibly my favourite pub in the Inner West, if not the entirety of Sydney. It's the sort of place for any occasion, at any time of day and no matter the mood you're in. Where the staff are friendly, the security are professional and, most importantly, the beers are cold and with a good selection to boot! To me, this is the standard for which every, classic Australian pub should be measured against. A cornerstone of the community and a special place in my heart. Love it!

Nice staff and I just want to say sorry for drunkenly taking a glass of wine out into the street under my jacket. It seemed like a great idea at the time. Female security guard was really nice about it. Thank you.

Where to start... the location is close to both buses and trains. Staff is young and energetic. Easy way to order, either from the counter or straight from your phone. Food is really good and portions are fair. Happy dogs running around. Outdoor and indoors seatings. Great selection of tap beer.. I'm just describing heaven!!!

A stunning location, it perfectly covers a true natural environment which makes you feel real comfort and welcome as you endulge on the beautiful nourishment presented to you. It also includes many healthy options, which is simply splendid. The only thing negatively note worthy to comment about are the prices as some dishes and beverages can be a little exaggerated.

It's a pub. Beers, foods, pinball, all the pub stuff you know and love. It's not as cool as it used to be, but neither am I, so I guess that's just me getting old. I miss Harry who used to work here, also the meat tray has become a farce.

Great beer garden, pinball machines, fairy lights, good music, and friendly staff. The food is good, serviceable pub food. Versatile place that works well for a quiet beer in the afternoon or a big night out. Also, if you're drinking in the park nearby they're generally pretty good about you using the toilets here.

The schooners especially the Resch's is excellent.
I had a lovely meal the Chicken Parmy, chips and salad. What great meal, plenty of food enough to get you through the week.

Much nicer with covid spacing rules than with the old 'cram them in until we burst' way of operating. Efficient plentiful staff and polite security. Food is fairly standard fare. A bit pricey.

This is a fine establishment. I went there with my husband and 6 kids last week and the kids meals were phenomenal, especially the kids fish and chips. The pool was slightly too chlorinated for little Jimmy but good idea!

Awesome pub with good grub in the heart of Newtown. The real standout, however, is the exceptionally professional and accommodating staff working there. Even though times are difficult in hospitality venues with staff having to manage social distancing regulations, the legendary folks at the Courty did (and always do) their very best to accommodate my friends and I for a last minute booking. Thanks team!

Every time I go there I have a good experience.Consistent quality of food and service Lining up on a Friday night was safely done, distancing and sing up. Not a long wait. We were seated inside and asked one of the waiters, who notified us when a table became available.Menu and ordering your food is very easy and safe as you just tap, place order and pay online while sitting on your table. Food and drinks come to your table, in very good quality and reasonably quick.

Best pub in Sydney, and arguably has the best nachos too. Every time I try nachos somewhere else I am disappointed because Courty nachos are the best in the inner west.

Dont bother booking. Had a friend ring up this morning so we could have dinner and a few drinks. Only when we got on the door we were told there was no booking under that name and were really sorry, dont know whats gone wrong there but your gonna have to go to the back of the line unfortunately Obviously we didnt consider standing in the rain acceptable when we had taken the right measures to gain access to have an enjoyable Friday night.
