One of the best pub stays I've been to.
Friendly staff and locals.
Food was magnificent and beer was perfect ??
Close to the Pacific H/Way but not too close for the trucks.
About my sixth time I've stayed.

Great pub on the river with shaded outdoor seating and small bar area..good food and nice dining room... virtually need to drive there but if yr thinking about having a great day..i hear their rooms are excellent...but probably book first ?

Brings back great memories. Had my first drink in there nearly 40 years ago and it really hasn't changed much. One tip, if you eat there, the flies were horrendous. They have fly fans behind the bar. Try one . Still a terrific place to stop for a break and a drink

We stayed here in our caravan and had a meal in the pub. I had the rump steak special and it was tasty and tender. My Wife had a chicken snitty, with a garlic prawn sauce and that was good as well.
If you have a meal the camping is free and the toilets are clean.

Great free overnight stay at the back of the pub. Support this pub... Meals are very tasty with a wide variety on the menu. Steaks are big n juicy and the bangers n mash are to die for with a good range for desserts. Beers are ice cold along with great service by all staff. Spectacular views of the Manning River. Highly recommended a stay here or even a nice weekend drive for a great day put in down town Coopernook

This is a pub, and we stopped for lunch, we had reserved tables for our visit. Everyone here is very friendly it's a typical small town pub. They have dining out the backyard garden, in dining room setting inside, or out the front with river views. You do get choices. It didn't take the kitchen long to get everyone's food out. They're well prepared for groups. Make sure you give them a heads up in advance. I've always enjoyed my meal choice here. So far, I've not had a bad experience.

We called in and stayed in the back paddock in our caravan. Great location, on the river and a good stopping point along the Highway. We had a great meal & drinks and walked out the back to our caravan ?

This was our second pitstop. It's actually beautiful here and a hidden gem and a half.

There's power points and a public bbq next to a public wharf.

This (according to my experience which is very little however my friend is very experienced) is an amazing little fishing spot there.

Furthermore you, conveniently, you also have access to a sink for descaling fish and washing up after you're done (I'm vegetarian so I'm not a fishing guy but I respect you if you do and want to help you find the best spots I can guide you to).

Stopped on our way from Coffs Harbour Sydney for lunch. Sat in the one of three areas you can take dogs ??'?? peaceful setting lots of parking, great food and lovely staff. We'll be back

I cannot recommend this place enough!! The most amazing food, outstanding staff and management, super friendly, Tammy the Licencee goes above and beyond for her patrons. Caravan camping out the back and WOW such an amazing place to stop over and get a great feed and a beautiful place to be. Oh and the pub is pet friendly outside or in your caravan. Ticks all the boxes for us

Very old style pub with excellent good value food. Off the highway and not a lot of street appeal, but the food was great. Stepping back in time. A nostalgic visit!!

We stopped here for camping and dinner. The steak with the mash was amazing but the Parmigiana small and normal, the toilets inside are clean and better than the one outside. You can park for free.

Stayed in motorhome behind the pub - no, it isn't salubrious, but always grateful for the hospitality. Food were absolutely brilliant - $15 grass fed rump steak night - yes thank you. I haven't eaten here for 18months and I wouldn't recognise the menu, service or food as the same pub. Thank you!

We were on a fast road trip home from Sydney to Brisbane and found this pub offering free accommodation to campers who dined at the pub. The food was really good (steak & bangers and mash), reasonably priced and a friendly chef. Thanks ?

Thank you for your hospitality. Stayed overnight in our caravan. Due to the wet weather some of the camping area was closed but we got a spot on the grassed area and the staff made us feel very welcomed. The creamy garlic prawns for lunch were delicious.

Great place. Free camping out back which we will definately come back and use sometime. Had a meal, the food was excellent and reasonable priced for the quality of the feed. Beers are not expensive. Good to see the place pumping

Stayed overnight in our caravan. Pub staff were friendly, professional on a very busy Friday night. Food was outstanding! Definitely calling back again. Prices of food and drink were very reasonable. Also a lovely quiet and pretty spot to stop.

Lovely old hotel needs some TLC and it is only a step or two away from the river's edge and boat ramp. I haven't stayed in the rooms so I'm not able to comment. I only gave service three stars they advertised coffee, but the coffee machine was busted, I love my coffee.

We often call in here for lunch when we are up this way. We always have crumbier lamb cutlets which are always big and juicy. Great friendly service as well. After lunch you can wander over to the toilet block and see sone of the history in the area plus part of the old bridge.

The food here is pretty ordinary, my partner ordered the pork roast, the pork was chewy and the gravy was burnt. I ordered the garlic prawns, the flavour was nice but to get 6 prawns for a main meal costing $27 is very poor value. We won't go back. The service however was nice and friendly.

Not far off the highway. Enthusiastic locals greet you at the door. The food was great and the service was awesome. So very helpful with providing for our needy group.

What a great spot for a stop over while RVing either with a motorhome/campervan/caravan need to be fully self contained & the meals are absolutely fantastic too, with the very hospitable friendly staff nothing was too much trouble, I'd certainly stop here again without a doubt. Well worth the stop for a night or two.

You could even have a fish off the bank as well if you wanted too.

Awesome place to stop if you are caravanning and looking for a place to free camp. Phone reception is workable. Really quiet and only a minute off the highway. The meals are reasonably priced and generous. I recommend the garlic and cheese bread, that was really soft and delicious.

Friendly staff, good food, cold beer. Caravan parked next to river, nice spot and quiet, no traffic noise. Recommend

Country pub popular with locals. Hugh meals at moderate prices well worth trying. The pub is just off the Pacific Highway between Taree and Port Macquarie. Reminiscing with good company made my visit memorable

Also, towing a van....No problem! Pull in for a meal and stay the night! Area set aside for vans at no charge!!

Such a welcoming and homely place, after being away from home for a month coming here on the way home was like a warm hug! Amber in particular was so wonderful and made it such a happy visit. We had a terrible day and Amber completely brightened our mood! The owners should be so pleased with their accomodating staff.
