On Thursday 26 April along with another member played social golf with some friends and treated them out to golf at the club.Collectively we spent approx $200 on rounds, balls, food and drinks.Unfortunately the customer service at the food bar upstairs was unprofessional, lacked any real genuine urgency and acknowledgement due to prejudgemental and ignorance and staff far too consumed in their own personal chit chat even though well aware a customer/member is waiting and ready to be served . When pulled up about it excusess, denial and an insincere apology due to guilt and only was forthcoming. Basically real poor, rubbish service.Only 4 days earlier on Sunday 25 along with a approx 27 x other friends we played and collectively easily spent approx $2500.As a member more than happy to to encourage and influence friends and associates to golf at Tweed. Also aware the of the economic realities and benefits to any golf club and especially during the present economic climate, with golf rounds, days and revenue lost due to bad weather, etc.Let's hope this can serve as a warning and wake up call to staff, management that getting golfers onto the Course is one thing, but let's not take it for granted that when they walk upstairs and are likely to spend extra that they may return unless individually we all seal the deal and provide sincere, genuine customers service and at all times. On a positive note, admittedly have only experienced top notch, and exemplary service at the halfway houses and pro shop.
