Usually one of our favourite work-lunch venues to dine at. Not this time, though. Our order was clearly missed and when we politely enquired after the rest of our table of 25 had received theirs, the head chef didn't even look for our docket number, just told us "you'll get it when you get it".
Not accepting this, a friend and I stood at the counter for 20 minutes watching all the orders come out, trying to spot ours. The head chef finally approached us, looking very irritated that we were lingering and finally asked for our order number. It was here that he discovered the error, apologised once, yelled at the server taking the orders, and sorted out our meals.
I appreciate that it was a super busy Friday lunch, but please remember procedure and manners. If the staff had simply looked for our order when we first enquired, rather than dismiss us, we would have left extremely satisfied as we usually do.
