Booked a night here on the 19th December with my partner and we weren't allowed to stay because we are "locals" they never let any websites know of this. We asked for a refund and they couldn't give it to us straight away because we had to call the company we booked off. After we spoke to the company they then contacted the hotel so they could get us a refund. We still have not gotten a refund. Do not stay here! They took our money when we weren't even allowed to stay!

Very lovely interior. Both indoor and outdoor spaces looked great. Seems to be newly renovated in last few years. Looks fresh.

I stayed overnight for a business trip and I can't fault this place. Right by the train station. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms pristinely clean, quiet, comfortable bed, great shower. Lovely bistro and bar. Would recommend and stay again.

Called in for just a quick lunch. OMG the food was fabulous. Not just pub grub. I had the salmon with Thai green curry. That meal could have been served to me at a top restaurant!

Customer service has definitely improved and the receptionist was kind enough to accept a late check-out request considering we were traveling as a family. Accommodation always impresses me. Very clean, comfortable and in a quiet location.

We stayed for a Saturday night, the room was comfortable, spacious enough with double glazing on the window, this ensured a good nights sleep.

The Bar downstairs was great for having a few drinks before the Party we were attending.
We would stay again.

Haven't been here for a little while and was very surprised by the food.

This establishment is amazimg the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was also amazing and the beers went down beautifully. The rooms are so nice and cosy. We will be back soon

I tried a hundred hotels worldwide, this is the only one cannot guarantee stable hot water supply, and charge $395 per night. After wait two hours for hot water, I took a cold shower instead.

I can understand you double charge price on Easter, but you failed to provide basic service to match your high price. No compensation, no apologies, tried to raise feedback through official website, No reply :)

Stopped in a few days ago with a hankering for a nice parmigiana that was on the old menu. Shock, horror... New menu has no parmi? What kind of pub doesn't have a staple like that?

The customer service at reception was horrible and needs improvement. I had to stand and wait for 10 minutes before going to the bar section and ask for someone to assist me with the check-in. When I expressed my concern and disappointment to Connor, he looked at me without any guilt or regret and said, "Fair Enough." There was no apology whatsoever, and no promise not to repeat this behaviour again. Very poor & disappointing. Will not recommend it to anyone and will not stay here again.

Usually one of our favourite work-lunch venues to dine at. Not this time, though. Our order was clearly missed and when we politely enquired after the rest of our table of 25 had received theirs, the head chef didn't even look for our docket number, just told us "you'll get it when you get it".
Not accepting this, a friend and I stood at the counter for 20 minutes watching all the orders come out, trying to spot ours. The head chef finally approached us, looking very irritated that we were lingering and finally asked for our order number. It was here that he discovered the error, apologised once, yelled at the server taking the orders, and sorted out our meals.
I appreciate that it was a super busy Friday lunch, but please remember procedure and manners. If the staff had simply looked for our order when we first enquired, rather than dismiss us, we would have left extremely satisfied as we usually do.

Great very clean accommodation. We stayed one night on our way to a function. Staff were very helpful, NO loud music and a great bakery across the road for brekkie.

From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much, but the rooms are spacious, well fitted out and comfortable. The food at the restaurant is delicious and top quality too. Plenty of free parking and directly across the road from Coniston Train Station.

If, through some unfortunate circumstances, you manage to find yourself at Coniston and in need of a place to stay, the Coniston Hotel isn't such a bad place to stay.

I was concerned about the proximity to Wollongong and having an intersection right outside the Hotel where Davo would practice race starts in his remastered 1973 Ford GT. Or, as previous reviewers have stated, late night functions in the Hotel.

Fortunately, neither event transpired, and the incessant tri-colour of the nearby traffic signals was suitably hidden by ample curtains.

Whilst the bed was comfortable, the pillows offered little support, the room was just a bit smaller that you would have expected.

All things considered, it was surprisingly an enjoyable stay. Albeit a bit expensive for what you get.

I dropped by Coniston Hotel last night after work for a quick take away to start off the beginning on my annual leave, and the staff member Connor served me. He was super helpful and friendly. Great service and venue. Thanks guys

Good pub,modern rooms and perfect car parking. Location is down side but it's easy to drive to beach

Shocking stay. After being up at 330AM to fly across the country to get here, I was unable to sleep until 330AM due to the extremely loud music from the pub below the accommodation. Rooms are nice but what's the point if you can't get any sleep? Thought it was a boutique hotel but it's a pub with nice rooms. If you're a light sleeper, stay away.

Lovely facility... awsome staff with great tolerance to deal with difficult overcrowding but still have the service and customer service of a champion so hat off to that, and ugh the food yummmm!!!! Definitely recommend a lovely sunny day lunch in the outdoor area and take life in as it goes by!

Stayed overnight after attending an NRL match at WIN Stadium. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms have recently been renovated. Only challenge was walking upstairs to the room as the lift was out of order

Rooms were fantastic. Large Clean and well appointed. Bed.. although new. Was very hard.. location is on a cross intersection with lights. Although double glazed.. loud cars and trucks excllerating off the lights is a little annoying... so was closing time at the hotel below... 45 mins of very noisy patrons leaving was also annoying...
Overall.. Very good for pub accommodation .

The hotel was clean. A little noisy. Our toilet ran all night. And the check in was weird. But over all ok. The bistro was excellent. And the bed comfortable.

Love going there for a meal almost on a weekly basis. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bistro meals wonderful, with a changing specials meal board.

I highly recommend this hotel for both accommodation and food. We stayed here for a night and the accommodation was modern, spacious and had a luxurious feel. The food was incredible for pub food and the staff were very friendly. A must to visit if you are in the gong.

Great value for money. The room was modern and clean, the bathroom was new with a great shower. The room was equipped with everything you need including air-conditioning. The bar staff were friendly and they have a great outdoor area.

STAFF ARE THE BEST ! Always welcoming, smiling and happy to help. Wonderful team. The Bistro food is great and love the constantly updating Specials Board. My local and I LOVE it ! Member benefits are wonderful. Highly recommend. I rate all pubs I visit elsewhere with this as my 5 star comparison. I have stayed at the Coniston 3 times now, the rooms are newly renovated, spacous & very, very clean, the staff cannot do enough for you & are very friendly. The Coniston Hotel is very close to Wollongong Hospital, Wollongong Central & the university. I travel regularly to Wollongong & have stayed in many motels & hotels over the years but I will only stay at the Coniston from now do yourself a favour & check the Coniston out you won't be disappointed!

Lovely place. We stayed one night at Coniston and it had been beautifully renovated . Everything was clean, functioning and staff were friendly. We cycled to Coniston from Sydney so storing bikes was a concern. We called up and the team kindly gave us a room with a balcony to put store them. Thank you Coniston team

Great atmosphere and food. Tash was especially helpful on fathers day and helped us stay a little longer so we could enjoy birthday cake as a group. Will definitely come back

Stayed for 1 night in a twin room. The Rooms have been renovated to Top Notch standard. Very stylish And Sparkly Clean. Bed and pillows were beautiful and comfy. Bath Towels big and nice and thick. Has a fantastic hair dryer, kettle and Tea , coffee and milk. We highly recommend it and definately will stay there again .
