Have not visited for a while but always like to see if places have improved. All I can say is wow. 5 of us visited for dinner and all 5 of us said, super meals and service which could not be faulted. We ate the pasta, parmigiana, squid, sausages and fish. Every meal was presented beautifully. The ingredients were fresh and we'll cooked. Every plate was cleared. Add to that impressive bar service we all left very happy. Clearly someone has come in who knows what they are doing. When I have visited previously food has not been anywhere near as good and bar service was shocking. Great work. Thank you.

My husband very happy to find Tooheys Old on tap. Beautiful food, reasonable prices, excellent choice of wine, beer etc, great service, pleasant atmosphere. Plus it has a 2 lane Bowling Alley, a huge children's gym, large dining area. Highly recommended!

Had lunch here. After an interminable period we were told it was almost ready. As they were serving other people the same as what we ordered it was clear they lost the order. They said they were smashed but it was half empty. Just say you lost the order, we are sorry but and we will get it out now. no need to lie.

Oh my, the girls and guys here are just lovely. Great rooms, great service, top country pub! Close to everything! Meals were good too, its a busy pub, but the staff are so onto it.. thankyou!

The size of my meal was huge - needed a doggy bag - fresh, tasty. The staff were just lovely (thank you Bianca and Renee). Establishment was clean n tidy and we appreciated being able to watch Game 3 of origin without the yahoos - GO THE BLUES ?

We had lunch here a couple of weeks ago, very nice staff, great play area for the kids and the food was awesome!! I love garlic prawns and rice and my Mum loves rissoles, we both agreed that it tasted amazing! Highly recommend a meal here!

An amazing set-up for a country pub on top of great meal options ( especially the seafood chowder).
A kids play area, undercover parking for motor bikes and best of all a 2 lane air conditioned bowling alley.

We've been here twice now and both times were blown away by how good the food was. The burger was a very pleasant surprise, and the seafood wasn't bad either. Deserves a sixth star, and kudos to the staff!

Certainly not as atmospheric as the bottom pub, but the meals were excellent. Huge serving of salmon for 23 bucks, excellent chicken breast burger and chips for 18, I think. Lots of choice on menu and judging by the queue to order, it's popular. Liked the fact there was a pool table in the public bar as well.

Was visiting Kyogle and went to the bowling alley but found the floor wasn't quite right. It is not my expertise but it was as if the floor/alley was bowed and it caused the ball to go directly to the left gutter nearly every time (unless you aimed it in the perfect exact centre, then it balanced on the peak of the bow).
I've bowled in many alleys and I've never seen the ball consistently and suddenly just vear direct left in the way it did at this alley. Felt almost rigged. I've visited this alley twice and every person I've bowled with there have all agreed on this issue.

What a fantastic country pub. Great food. Steak cooked to perfection, even homemade nuggets for the kids. Fantastic facilities for children, even has its own ten pin bowling lanes. Service was spot on and really good atmosphere. Will definitely be back there again.

Fabulous service, very clean and well serviced hotel. Great kitchen for guests.
Centre of town with plenty of free parking. Has a restaurant that operates most days. Will recommend!

we were on a road trip holiday had heard about the Commercial Hotel in Kyogle so booked in for 2 nights. good rooms with ensuite ,and the dinner in the dining room of rump steaks medium rare was spot on, staff were very friendly and helpful

We stayed here for a Saturday night - the weekend of the Rodeo. As a result, the Bistro was swamped.
The plus:
Room exceptionally clean and tidy, with a lovely washbasin.
Mattress the best we've EVER slept on.
Dining area nice, with fridge stocked with bread, butter, milk and all the ingredients for a nice tea/coffee.
Management freshened up an old Hotel successfully, but the bathrooms still show age.
I forgot that NSW had daylight savings and had the Lounge TV blaring at 10pm. Sorry!
Highly recommended - we had a really good rest.

These guys advertise as motorcycle friendly and they are exactly that. Our group of four enjoyed Saturday night hear, rooms have recently been refurbished, food was excellent and we knew our bikes were safely locked up downstairs. Happy days.

When we decided to do a road trip to Kyogle so my boss could reminisce about when he migrated to Australia from Greece 70 + years ago , I phoned the Commercial Hotel to ask if they have an area where we could eat with a dog ? the man on the phone couldn't of be more helpful & stated that they have an area on the back deck where we could sit as long as our dog was on a leash... the food was top notch & more importantly on a hot day the beers were icy cold?? thankyou very much , we will be back ??'?

We were stranded in Kyogle after the floods so decided to get a room at the commercial hotel with our two kids. The service and care we received were second to none and the accommodation was amazing clean fresh and safe. We are eternally grateful to the staff for their general concern and care.Highly recommend this beautiful country pup.

Enjoyed my meal of Fish/Chips. Unusual to have a Salad under Mash Potato on a Rissoles meal, but in saying that the meal was eaten. Service was good & staff attentive. Cannot say much else as didn't venture past the dining room.

A great experience, from the very friendly Manager down to an excellent steak and salad lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be going back to have another memorable lunch.

The meal,s took some time to arrive however they were worth waiting for. The Kitchen staff and manager were friendly. Unfortunately the bar waitress was unpleasant during my 2 trips to the bar. After ordering 2 beer's I politely asked for a jug of water with a dash of lemon, she replied that they don't do lemons and returned with 2 glasses when a asked for 3 glasses she went into a huff and said that'll be right! I asked her politely if there was anything wrong, I was ignored! We were a crew of 7 family members who decided not to purchase any further food or drinks. Most unfortunate for the establishment.

Probably the best all-round country pub in the region for hospitality, great value high quality meals and extras like a bowling alley of all surprises. A fun experience for the whole family Thanks team.

Great pub food, super friendly staff and lovely renovated accomodation with ensuites - all very clean and fresh. We had fun in the new ten pin bowling alley and having a flutter. Everything under the one roof and centrally located. Cant recommend more highly. We will be back!

staff and food was well above average, what you do you do well ..right down to the salad on the side of my plate to the person on the food till. Steak was cooked by a pro,look forward to bring other friends along.

I'd just like to thank the friendly team at the Top Pub. We came with our family and had such a lovely time. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The accomodation was lovely. Newly renovated. Chic en-suites. Comfy beds. Great linen and fluffy towels. The food is outstanding. The dishes are huge and delicious. Great pub grub made with love. We will be back and couldn't recommend it more warmly.

The quality of the food at this classic country pub is exceptional! The crispy organic chicken schnitzel was a winner for me. The sides also deserve a mention - lightly cooked vibrant vegetables and perfectly seasoned thick cut chips. The bar staff were so accommodating and polite. The bowling alley was fantastic and fun! We will be back soon.

The steak I had here was cooked perfectly. It was full of flavour and the chef (cook) rested the meat before plating. A lot of city pubs could learn a thing or two from this.

Visited Kyogle yesterday & had lunch at this country hotel. The Panko Fish is a winner if you are looking for great fish & chips. The new publican Nathan gave us a tour of the hotel with its own bowling alley. Can really recommend stopping off here if in the area.

A great meal, and very reasonably priced. I had Rump Steak, it was delicious and tender. I imagine that the steak was sourced locally. Service was also excellent. Highly recommend
