The dining room with its Klimt inspired decor is really lovely and the tables are nicely spaced out. Our meals were generous and delicious and good value for money. The service was friendly and efficient although it took a few minutes for the waitress to actually greet us (she seemed to be on her own at that stage, although we interacted with other staff later in our visit). one small complaint was that the crumb coat on the fish was rather thick.

Our family dined on Xmas Day for lunch. The staff were attentive and the food was amazing. For us it was a tad too much food and we were able to take home for dinner. We had 2 vegans and one dairy free and those meals were exceptional. The dairy free desserts to die for. Thank you to the publican and staff for organising a fantastic day. Much better than slaving in a hot kitchen. Will be doing it again.

We booked for joint birthday celebrations. First time at The Colonist and we all really enjoyed it. The drinks and food were great. Menu is amazing with great options for dietary alternatives and allergies. The serving sizes were fabulous! The staff were all super welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding service from Matty this afternoon. After a stressful day he left our table with an absolute uplift in spirits and put the biggest smile on our faces. He presented well, had outstanding customer service skills and was overall an absolute gem in accommodating my table. Will definitely be back for more positive vibes! Well done Matty!!

Wonderful menu, it had a nice variety and high quality delivery. Shout out to Matty who provided us a 5 out of 5 super customer experience. He is funny, caring and made sure we had the best experience. Highly recommend The Colonist.
