Great accesses and parking. Nice pub food. A little light on the service manners in some areas.. everything else made for a great night out.

Love the trivia nights they hold and the food is pretty good, so close to home so it's very convenient to visit.
But unfortunately, last night my son got a beef burger that was undercooked- pink in the middle, however the lady gave us a refund thankfully.

Paid $45 for a medium rare steak which I thought was some what expensive for a pub and I received it well done with lumpy mash and over cooked tasteless veggies. The back bar, good luck trying to get a drink, it's quicker to walk around to the front.

It used to be great. Suddenly the steak quality and size has halved. Even the salad is so small, you might has well leave it off. It is was what my mates and I were looking for too weekly.

Unfortunately the Friday night we visited the Pizza oven was not working but my 2nd choice, the chicken schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce was delicious. The portions were very generous . Our table of 6 all enjoyed their meals and loved the entertainment, Face to Face, The Angels tribute band. Looking forward to next time we visit.

Really for a hotel it deserves five stars but I kept one up my sleeve incase I find something better, though Highly unlikely. Sensibly priced food and drinks, quality pub food of large proportions, lovely staff and a nice modern hotel with a good atmosphere. The Colonial also has by far the best value bottle shop in Sydney. Excellent!

Staff were very friendly however; From the Bistro we ordered 2 Rump steak meals. Both Med Rare but 1 was Medium-Well & the other was Well Done. It was 730/8pm so it wasn't overly busy either. If we weren't so hungry when it arrived we would've taken it back 100%

The food was delicious,
we didn't have to wait very long before our meals were ready.

The Service, the lady taking our order was very helpful.

Atmosphere, relaxing and quiet.

We look forward to going there and would recommend to others who would like to go out for a lovely meal.

We had mostly a fun night for a friends birthday, however one of the female guests with our party became quite intoxicated from drinks that the hotel served her and was told to leave. We were helping to facilitate her departure from the hotel but for the security it wasn't fast enough. One of the male security team was very rude and aggressive toward us, yelling at both my wife and I and it appeared that he was playing up to and for the amusement of a group of young females seated close by. It wasn't our job to help the intoxicated person but we did our best to protect her from, what would probably been a physical ejection.

Food is horrible. Eaten here three times now first time I got a parmy, it was undercooked and tasted bland. Second time I got the spaghetti, it was mainly pasta and pasta sauce, almost no meant and no flavour. Thought I would give it one last chance so I got the butter chicken. The rice is soggy, there is almost no chicken, tasted awful. I paid a extra couple dollars for one tiny papadum which they only give you one of. Overall very disappointed and wouldn't recommend their food to anyone.

Ordered the Pulled Beef Nachos and received everything except the pulled beef, very disappointing

Quiet at lunchtime very busy at night, good meals quick service. This visit at lunchtime time was still quiet, but food was good hot and adequate.

The food was good.
The people were nice except for 1 lady at the bistro had a chip on the shoulder.
Male sure you finish your food as you will be charged for a container and pizza box if you want your left overs for take away.

After months of lockdown, craved a simple pub schnitzel and wasn't disappointed. Juicy chicken crumbed just about perfectly. Good chips and salad actually worth eating.

Good atmosphere, nice staff. Not many vegetarian options and kitchen staff don't wear gloves while touching food.

Food was pretty ordinary, not hot at all. Mash potatoes were lumpy. Steak was thin & burnt to a crisp. Wouldn't go back...

The staff weren't the friendliest, not rude, but not overly welcoming. The bistro women were talking very loudly, not necessarily conducive to a pleasant dining experience. The food looked great, but wasn't the tastiest. The steak was a great size, but tastes quite bland. It's almost like it wasn't seasoned at all. Overall, I've had a better experience here in the past. Not terrible, just not great this time.

Fantastic schnitzels! My husband Dirk and I try the schnitzels at every pub we visit - and we visit a lot of pubs, trust me - and the Colonial is up there with the best. We're not easily pleased, but the staff and owners certainly impressed us!

We went to Colonial Hotel Video Shop to return our DVD & decided to have dinner at their bistro. It was before 7pm and there weren't many around. The entire venue was clean. Staff were polite & helpful.

My daughter had steak. I had the hicken & rocket salad.
We loved their food. Service was prompt.
The have alfresco dining and we sat outside to enjoy dinner.
Steak was juicy
My salad was yummy & filling. The chicken was cut ever so thinly & was delicious.

Excellent food and hospitality, they've come a long way since the 90's

It was second visiting with parents. Yummy steaks, reasonable price and friendly staffs. We had a very good time.

Had Sunday lunch there with my wife. Excellent food and big servings. I had a chicken parmigiana which was tender and tasty. My wife had the chicken breast in mushroom sauce which was also very tender and tasty. Well run hotel with all good COVID procedures. Recommended for a visit. Great value for money.

Had their $5 breakfast this Sunday morning. Very good value for money i bought a second plate. You can get pancakes cream maple syrup or sausages eggs mushroom baked beans and toast. Nice setting inside and outside. Lots of space and family friendly.
