Customer service in this venue is fantastic, also has some of the cleanest toilets I've ever seen in any pub/club. The whole venue was spotless!

Outstanding service from the staff nothings to hard. Great Gaming Food Function Rooms great outdoor area lots on incl Bingo need to support your local venues keeps doors open high rents etc. Pokies dont keep the lights on people do. Had a great time. Join up become a member really had a great time.

Club Barkly is brunswick's first licenced gaming/machine venue on Sydney road
It Recently went from trading as the Northern bingo and pokies.usually after losing money go to the smoking area looks onto Sydney rd and across to Barkly square and is a nice shelter for a cigarette and free coffee to calm down maybe catch up with the locals for a yarn or two.

That security guard at the door thinks I was a cat or something calling me psst . I don't think he knows but first time he asked me to sign in as I visit regularly but I only went for a beer and made sure what I thought about he's attitude on the way out . He needs the sack!

Very disappointed. The sign out front says free bingo now as pictured. I went inside and there was no bingo. They demanded that I show my identification and scanned it. My privacy has been violated and there was no free bingo. This establishment is a scam. Do not go here!

Stupid sign in process took ages, all I wanted was some food and drink. Staff seem more interested in getting your information as opposed to hospitality.

Don't attend. The place stinks, literally. Toilets dirty. I sat down inside after a long walk to catch my breath waiting for a friend. We were then going to get some drinks. I was visibly exhausted. Within seconds of sitting the rude security guard shouted at me, "you are just going to sit there are you". I said I needed a minute to catch my breath after using the toilet and that my friend was en route. He said "it's bad enough you used the toilet, now you are just gonna sit there". He told me to leave. UNBELIEVABLE. That is why the venue is empty and only populated by 80 year olds smelling of BO. Avoid at all costs.

The sign outside states the bistro is open but after a painful signing in process my question as to where the bistro was located was met with a sour: 'it's not open today'. There a many more facilities in the area I will choose before ever setting foot in there again.

Security guard George is not polite, abrupt when speaking to me due to check-in system error that I was being blamed for even when I tried explaining it had happened before. Told me I wasn't special compared to other customers..
English is not good making for more difficulty.

Large function venue with a decent sized gambling area with pokies. On entry you have to check in at the front desk, providing your name, address & contact phone number. From there you will pass the main bar area which also is where you will find the cashier. The layout is quite spread out & roomy so you don't feel cramped at all, however this doesn't appear to be much of an issue as when I visited here, it was a Friday evening around 6pm, there wasn't too many other patrons there. I did leave for a couple of hours for dinner & when I returned there wasn't many more people inside so from what I can tell it doesn't appear to be overly crowded at peak times (although this might just have been on the day I attended & not the regular situation.) The staff appeared to be friendly when circulating the floor, as they tidied & disinfected the gaming area, however I did find that when I attended the bar area it was difficult to get the attention of one of the staff members & when I did they were nowhere near as friendly as the other staff on the floor, & whilst serving me, rather than making eye contact & attempting to engage in the slightest amount of small talk you would have expected, he continued with the conversation he was having with a staff member further up the bar, which was rather disappointing & a significant negative to the overall experience. The other major negative was the parking area located out the front on Sydney Road (which btw is a major road in that area) was extremely small & not very spacious at all, so I was hesitant to even park there as I was worried another driver might accidentally hit my car as they tried to park &/or exit their vehicle. Therefore, to sum it all up, this wasn't the best of venues but wasn't the worst, so I honestly feel that a mid range rating of 3/5 is adequate in regards to my experience there

Had a function there last month and the staff were incredible!

We were all greeted/welcomed and given help to sign in.

Staff were quick to serve us drinks, our food was brought out in intervals so food was consistently coming out.

The venue itself it so beautiful! Especially the function room. The vibe of the place is incredible! Will definitely be having future functions here! 😍

Great pub with fantastic atmosphere and interactive staff. Will definately be back.

Great function space! Delicious food & friendly team helped me above and beyond for my baby shower. Would definitely have other events here again in the future
