The pub had a great vibe but the bar staff are young and very transactional is their approach. I stayed 2 nights in the family suite which was absolutely stunning, very spacious with views of the ocean and the bed was super comfy.. The only improvements I'd make would be providing wine glasses in the room (instead I had to resort to drinking out of a coffee mug), provide body length mirrors in the wardrobes (for us girls) and boxes of tissues (instead of having to use toilet paper). All in all a great experience and I'll definitely be back on my next business trip.

Absolutely awesome stay had. Whole lot was top notch. Special mention to Harry on reception for the friendly/top notch service. Room was extremely well presented, all amenitys great. Will return one day when i am in town next

Young staff are polite but sometimes you need to wait until they are ready to serve you

Whilst this pub has a great atmosphere and many indoor and outdoor zones the wine list is atrocious. I can only imagine someone with absolutely no clue about wine made all the choices on the wine list . For such an upmarket suburb it needs to do better and grow up.

Great room. No outside window except bathroom. Small room however has everything I needed inc iron, espresso machine, cold bottled water, beach towel etc. Modern beach side decor which was very tasteful. Food was good. Menu not huge but staff friendly. Overall very pleasant

Re-visited the Clovelly Hotel after so many years, last visit was when I was working at Randwick. Indoor/outdoor/restaurant/bistro area is great for family and/or friends. Lots of tables to have your lunch or dinner and enjoy a drink or two. Great lunch with friends ordering special of the day, who enjoyed the dishes. But, most to mention are the staff - excellent & friendly service.

Went to the Clovelly Hotel for a surprise birthday party in one of the private function areas. This area had its own bar, tables chairs and couches, and even a balcony for the smokers. It was perfect for a party. The staff were really nice and friendly and the food was ok.

Came with some friends and my partner for a long weekend (5 adults total) We stayed in a family room and a king room. The beds were AMAZING (probably the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long time especially in a hotel!) The staff were all very friendly. The food downstairs was good. While we were there on a weekend and there was definitely music the sound of chatter until closing (around midnight) it didn't really bother us; the walls did a pretty good job but if you're a light sleeper it might be an issue. The bathrooms had an amazing shower and the views were unbeatable. 10/10 would go again!

Location & atmosphere good. Food / drink overpriced and a bit scammy. Menu board right next to the restaurant till stated Szechuan squid & chips for $19. I order that and get charged $31. When I asked why the staff member said that's the takeaway menu. ? When I said okay I'll have it to take away she refused to take my order because she knew I was sitting in ? Either way $12 for a plate is muggy. Eat before you come here. Food wasn't that great either.

We stayed for a night at the Cloey Hotel and it was absolutely delightful.

We were treated to an upgrade although we'd already seen the room we booked and it was lovely.

The upgraded room had views across the ocean - very modern and stylish.

The bed was super comfortable and warm!

We will now make this our 'usual' when we're staying in Sydney.

Great range of dishes. My husband said the steak (rump) was too sinewy, but everyone else lived their dishes, fish tacos, burger.
There's a great selection of drinks as well.

Young energetic staff, aesthetically what you'd expect in a nice pub near the beach, good size screen with the footy on and I enjoyed my parmy which was a decent size and price. Parking surprisingly was not hard to find on street, must have been a quieter Friday night.

Attended a private function on Saturday the bar service is pretty lame, half of the staff always chatting instead of serving, one time a couple female staff grabbed each others hand and walked off instead of serving me. Nowadays, you're lucky to get a please or thank you but a smile in your voice goes along way but don't expect that here, in fact you feel as though you're bothering them when you ask for your drink.

We went for comedy night and it did not disappoint! Will was amazing and the staff super friendly and helpful. Amazing cocktails and one of the best parmies to date! My team are begging me to take them back there ASAP!!

Fabulous venue, great location and really friendly staff! We came in for dinner and the food was quick, whilst holding an extremely high standard and great taste. The cocktails we ordered were beautifully presented, fun and great to drink. We will definitely be back!

Love the pub, the vibe and the rooms. It's a superb location that will not disappoint. The only flaws I can think of is the heavily restricted parking and the bathroom door in our room does not close shut.
Other than that the room was clean, fresh with an amazing king sized bed. The pillows could be better (hard as concrete for me).
But all in all, would definitely go back.

Great venue and good food. I don't think there is any sound proofing and music is usually very loud so hard to talk over dinner unless you specifically sit in the dining only area. Other than that it's a great venue and great to watch the sports. Beers are a reasonable price too.

Lovely place to go on a Saturday with the boys. The perfect balance between sports, gambling and hanging around good looking people. Nice talent. 10/10 would recommend.

Love this pub however my recent experience left a lot to be desired. Perhaps it's staffing issues but I had to clean my own table in the dining room so we could sit down to eat. There were scraps of food all over the floor. The table next to us left and it sat there full of left over drink and food for nearly half an hour with staff ignoring it. The bar guy at the main bar was so disinterested and miserable and serving me drinks seemed like a chore. I ordered a steak medium that cost $40.00 and it arrived well done and dry and the potato gratin was the same and about the size of a large french fry. my previous experience has been good. Let's hope it's an anomaly and they find some better staff once this start to get better

I went to the pub for dinner and a drink. There is a lift, but the wheelchair accessibility isn't very good because the lift doesn't provide access to each area. My mates were able to carry me up/down the stairs so I didn't totally miss out. In saying that, I was able to get my hands on a beer at the top of the stairs so it wasn't all bad.

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights in April and we had a great time!
The rooms are clean, small but so beautiful.
All the little details of the hotel- very pretty.
Really quiet rooms once the music stops.

Awesome cafes down the street
Free parking
And most impressive of all- The Team (especially Katie)were so accommodating when we had to change our dates about 3 times due to COVID reasons.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were comfortable and so nicely decorated. But on arrival we queried shortening our stay by 1 night due to work changes. The lady at reception had already charged our card and said that she couldn't refund it. She gave me her business card and said if we leave early to email her and get a credit for the remaining night. So we did that, emailed twice and haven't got a response at all. Would have thought being a professional we would at least get a response!

Great atmosphere great food. Try the chicken tacos and wash it down with a tap seltzer. Great outdoor beer garden in nice weather.

Great atmosphere and in a good location. Close to Clovelly Beach and reasonable parking availability. Good food options and drink range all for a decent price - bit on the higher end for a pub but you expect that for the location and area. Had the Barramundi and was delicious, good size and they had live music and sports on. Will definitely visit again.

I believe this is probably the only decent size bar around Clovelly. Amazing location. Large open areas, food is average, would be great to have more varieties.

The veg options here are really disappointing. From their lunch deal there is one veggie choice which is a little bit of pumpkin with some salad leaves & hummus... while other options are all big plates of fish & chips, burgers etc. Why so little for the veggies & vegans?! The poke bowl is also lacking any flavour. Recommend somewhere else if you're a vegetarian.

We went with a large group of 18 for dinner. Food was delicious and was great to have a non alcoholic option in their beer selection. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will visit again.

Nice and open, just a short walk from beach. Parking spots are at a premium especially today.. due to the beautiful weather.. Had the herb coated schnitzel with homemade coleslaw very nice. Was also very pleased that the wine list was predominantly Australian ... Definitely a lovely way to spend a sunny day

Pretty amazing place to visit which includes kids play area, outdoor and indoor seating, the staff are kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend going during the happy hour (5-7PM) to grab 5$ beers and 14$ burger meals .

I've been going to the Clovelly Hotel for most of my adult life and have seen so many changes. I've always been a big fan as it's great for a family lunch or group setting. They've really looked after the patrons in these trying times. Well done!

My fave local! Friendly staff and good vibes. Food is yummy, cant go wrong with the schnitty and the salads are delicious.

Came for drinks and admired the view, parking is difficult but everything else was great. Good outdoor area and great selection of food at the bistro
