This is defenetly the most enjoyable experience at a small country pub that I have ever had in a very long time. The bar staff very friendly and a delight to talk to. Their meals are amazing and very well priced. Highly recommend their $15 burger deals on every Thursday day.

Its a great hotel for the price being paid. The bed sheets were fresh, ammenities are shared no heater or tv in the room. Pub food, beer and convenient store available downstairs.

We stopped for lunch at the Central Hotel Stroud on the weekend. It was the first time we had been to the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and clean, with a lovely outdoor area with a large screen TV, and the children's playground was right next door to it, so parents could watch their children. The food was delicious, lovely and fresh and well cooked. It was served in a short time. Nice place to relax and we recommend anyone passing through Stroud to pop in there. We would definitely go back when we are in the area again.

Absolutely fantastic place to go for a meal, drink and watch sports. The pool comp that was held today was fantastic to watch also. Kid friendly, with a play ground for them to play on and also dog friendly to.

As a pub, it's quite the venue out in the country, nothing like it around for the next 45 mins.

As a place to stay - you need to pick your moments. There is no a/c in the rooms, so summer is excruciating.
If you stay Saturday night, expect to be kept up by the band until at least midnight
The shared bathroom was clean, but you're on display to the beer garden when you go to and from it. The building is very old, the rooms are very small but if you go when it's cooler and midweek and have to stop overnight - do it.

Talk about a hidden little gem, the atmosphere of an old fashioned family style pub with an off the chain menu.
The brisket burger is sensational and rib and beef combo is enough to feed two, the rest of the menu is brilliant. With all the pub classics with a twist.

Excellent stop for lunch. Had the chicken burgers which were perfect. The included chips were Crips and soft inside. The brought it out to the table after you ordered. Staff at the counter was cheerful and helpful

Great food, friendly staff . I had a medical incident whilst there and left in an ambulance. My car was locked up in a garage for safe keeping until we could collect 2 days later.

They were kind enough to allow me to use their wifi to set up my telstra sim. I'm very grateful and they are more then worthy of 5 stars. If it wasn't so early I would stop for a beer and a burger they look great.

Awesome feed for the family. Stopped in here on the way back from camping. Happy we did, might make it an everytime thing :-)

Took a friend there for lunch yesterday, so very disappointed with a small basic menu, apparently 3 bus loads of people were coming so we were not offered a full menu. The buffalo wings were soggy and way to hot for mild and no sour cream in the house either. Horrible . Won't be back. The service was great tho.

Had lunch and then stayed for the night. Beers were cold, food was good, bed was comfy. Tick, tick, tick! Just be wary of room 6, avoid if possible, it shares a wall with the cool room compressors so the whole room vibrated. I was so glad the staff were able to change rooms for us.

Very basic but friendly, convenient, clean and very economical representing good value for money.

Provides great country pub food. Had a porterhouse steak for supper and it was delicious.

Good restful night. Only negative was that the WiFi was out of order but these things happen in the best of places.

Would be excellent with a group of friends for a weekend. Stroud is an interesting out of the way place as well. Very pretty.

Great food, great service and great range of drinks behind the bar. The Renos the team are doing to improve the beer garden, bar and [---] room are making a difference to the experience already - really love it here. Great live music on Saturdays as well :)

Unreal little country pub, brilliant outdoor area, free pool, friendly staff and good selection of beers.

Looking forward to going back there and grabbing some food, the menu looked great.

Small Country Town pub no other accommodation in town. Good food a bit rowdy on grand final night. A nice old style pub I will be staying again.

I really enjoyed my recent stopover at the Stroud Central Hotel! Atmospheric, family-friendly and historically interesting old pub that is neither neglected nor over-restored like most places are. Clean and comfortable rooms, generously-proportioned meals and the beer was excellent - I think you can actually tell by the taste that they maintain their equipment better than just about anywhere else. And all remarkably good value. Would make a great place to stay for a few days and explore the area so I'll look forward to coming back, with the crew next time!

Generous meal sizes... Amazing food... Friendly staff and a huge seating area outside. Be prepared for the weather if eating here but worth the extra jacket or beanie...

Great manager and bistro staff, good selection of Pub food with food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Beautiful hamburgers, nice portion sizes and value for money.

After a long day of riding my motorbike, I stopped and decided to stay the night. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, room was clean and fresh, even the hotel bathrooms were exceptional.I enjoyed a glass of beer and was on my way the next morning.Had a njce chat with some locals in the morning.This is exactly what small Australian towns are all about. 100% coming back again.

We had a wonderful meal here. Highly recommend.
