While I listen to drunk loud people, and people "sniffing" really loudly in the toilets.
Have come here for about 8yrs, never had a problem.

Here is a photo of me starting to get surrounded by security, after I had politely asked a staff member why I had been cut off.
When security crowded me, they stepped back and tried to hide when my phone came out.

Great place and atmosphere. Staff were very good. Food was very average. Needs improving. A side of 'veggies' consists of green beans only!?!

The bar in the lower part of the club was probably the best part of the night.

A few mates and I were down in the pub area playing some pool and having a decent time deciding on where we should have dinner.

It was a toss up between Dapto leagues club, and staying where we were which turned out to be a horrible choice.

All the tables in the bistro were sticky, so sticky you could probably climb the side of a building using a table with a pathetic excuse as to why they are so sticky.

The food, to put it politely I suggest you hire chefs who can cook, who can identify food properly, and who have decent time management skills.

When someone orders 'vegetables' with their dinner they are going to assume they are going to get vegetables not just half a plate of beans. You might as well just list 'beans' rather than have people assume they will get regular vegetables that most would plate up at home.

The chicken parmigiana, was just a piece of schnitzel with a piece of soccer ball ham and cheese slapped on top with a bit of tomato sauce. If that's what you call a decent meal, heck I will be opening my own restaurant shortly.

The chips were cold, felt like they had been taken out of the fridge and briefly zapped in the microwave.

The salad, was absolutely drowned in dressing so badly that even Bondi Rescue couldn't save it. Soggy, and unappetizing to those who had it on their plate.

We had 2 people get their meals a good 20 minutes after the first 2 meals had already arrived. We all ordered at the same time, we didn't order 20 minutes apart so this part made absolutely no sense besides poor time management for a restaurant that had about 10 people sitting down at the time we were eating.

Don't take this as negative feedback, but rather constructive criticism which should be taken seriously rather than ignored as most places will tend to do so.

If you want to increase your review rating, I suggest that you look at your processes in place for running a restaurant/bistro.

At times when my wife & i have attended the Central hotel we have been greeted & served by a friendly Gentleman named Breadan, he has always been very helpful & friendly, Its professional friendly staff like Brendan that make our experience worth coming back to the Central Hotel.

Would have given it 5 stars except for the fact they made me wait for over 30 minutes for my meal. Nice place, clean and well presented. Reasonably priced. Staff were professional and courteous.

Always enjoyed eating here, but tonight was very disappointing. First of all the scan to order doesn't allow you to add your membership. So you're paying full price without knowing. Secondly the menu has changed and the food and drinks are below average. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and what I was served was false advertising. As it was served in a coupe glass rather than a tall glass which is what is advertised. It also was shaken not blended like a slushy. I should've asked for a refund because they took it back and tried to fix it. But after a few sips you're left with crushed ice. I used to always order one from here and I loved it. I left with my meal half eaten. I don't think I will be returning.

Central has fantastic food, down to Earth service and reasonable prices for both food and drinks. Live music over the weekends is what we need in the Illawarra and Central also delivers on entertainment. My family's and my favourite pub.

Came here to eat, it was very busy so it was a little but of a wait for food but that's okay it was worth it, it was delicious. The strawberry daiquiris was refreshing and went down a treat while waiting for the food. We will be back ?

The staff were friendly, helpful and funny. The food was tasty, quick and generous. There is also a wash towelette to clean hands after you have eaten. Fabulous. I became a member and will be back!!!

Service was fantastic, the drinks were great! Food good value, but disappointed in the dishes. Huge portions (good value i guess) but not the best tasting. Fake mushroom sauce (gravy with a single slice of mushroom thrown in), tasteless tofu, and overly salted chips.
Overall I'd say a decent place to eat if youre after value and comfort but not necessarily taste.

Dropped in for a Thursday lunch and cheeky cocktail on 14th July.

I can't say enough about the staff. Every single person we dealt with was perfectly friendly, polite and supremely helpful. Food was delicious but, really, the service was exceptional. I haven't had service this impressive in years - it was a stand-out. Congratulations on having such an amazing team.

I came here once for my partner's birthday, and I had a very mixed experience.

On one hand my schnitzel was cooked really well and the crumb was great, which I'd recommend, the salt and pepper squid was also good. And staff were quite friendly with my partner's birthday and dealing with the cake we brought (getting us plates and cutlery etc). Oh, and the churros were delightful!

On the other hand someone else at my table really disliked their meal when it was a dish they'd typically enjoy. Additionally our drinks got messed up and we had to ask a couple of times to get it fixed and they didn't have some of the usual cocktails I could even get at a local pub.

So I guess if you want friendly staff and good chicken schnitzel, it's the bees knees. But if you want a relaxing night out where everyone will have a good time and the drinks are good, I'd recommend you go somewhere else.

Customer service exceptional
Meal was delayed slightly but the response from their staff was above and beyond.
Its been a long time since i have witnessed this kind of service that was genuine.
Definitely recommend dining here.

Absolutely amazing food. I had the rump steak and my friend had the parmigiana which was the size of the plate!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Place was packed which proved it's popularity and quality of food and service.

ANZAC DAY at Central was amazing. So much respect for the diggers from everyone. 2UP was great and the food delicious as always. Staff were happy and friendly and everyone had a great day.

This place is definitely worth a visit. Staff wonderful,helpful. Atmosphere was great. The meals beautiful. I had the duck breast (pictured) it was to die for. Will definitely be back.

Food was nice and big portioned. The staff were pleasant and checked to see if everything was ok with our food. The coffee was nice too. Central have updated their dcor inside and it looks nice and welcoming. The welcome desk at the front is a nice touch too to be greeted when you walk in.

Great place

For the prices here the food really doesn't match. The Parmi was good. The 'roast' veggies were like chewing concrete. The 'smashed pototes' are just boiled(seems to be an ongoing problem from reading other reviews). The actually venue is great are staff were awesome. Just severely disappointed by food.
