Great food and the service is very thorough and pleasant when you can get it. I was left at the bar for several minutes more than once in one visit and again the next time whilst staff converse with patrons over the bar. Aside from the lack of prompt service the venue is well worth a visit.

Food presentations, taste and portions were good.
Service from people was also good. Time for food was not great. We were informed that we were last to order and hence the delay but a bit of caution during order would have helped.

I had my 30th here and the staff at the Cauliflower made it such an amazing and memorable event! From coordinating booking and food with Matt the manager to the arrival, they helped me set up my decorations, eased the pressure of holding an event and were so happy to help! Adam was our bartender for the evening and everyone couldn't stop raving about him and his beautiful energy! I could not recommend this venue enough, but their staff really made my birthday so special and I honestly didn't want the night to end due to their hospitality and kindness! Bloody love this place!

Recently held my sons 21st celebration upstairs in the Forgotten Cask Lounge, Terrace & Cocktail Bar. We were delighted with every aspect of customer service starting with Matt as our point of contact. Matt answered all our questions and made excellent suggestions on what would work on the night including the food menu and bar tab. On the party night the bar staff Adam and Marter were the best - friendly, accommodating and helpful. My guests all complimented us on our choice of venue including the fabulous party food which was delicious. Everyone had loads of fun dancing and celebrating into the night. Thank you Cauliflower Hotel for making our sons night such a blast!

Food was awesome, the rump steak was really tender and well cooked. The service (from the bartender) was warm.
I would have gave a 5 start but this place isn't kids friendly. We had 2 children of 2y of age and we were not made feel comfortable at all when one staff member rudely told us that kids couldn't sit on the floor while watching the soccer on the TV and couldn't play with their « slippery sign ». They are kids, surely you can't expect them to simply sit on a chair while their mums are catching up over a meal. Or you could just ask us in a nicer way. It's already stressful enough to eat out with toddlers without the rudeness of the staff.

Had a 1 month baby celebrations here yesterday and we had THE best time. From the moment we booked, the communication with Matt, through to arrival, set up and customer service. The food was delicious and HUGE portions which were beautifully presented, lovely bar person (Tashi I think her name was), who was really helpful and patient with us.
Our guests complimented the decor and said it was beautiful, I'll definitely be returning to hold more events, there are so many different areas you can choose from. I've been told the trivia is great too, so will have to try it one day. Lovely local gem.

In 1838, which makes it the oldest Sydney pub that I am aware of, they had a bumper crop of, you guessed it, cauliflower, and so put some of the profits into a new pub. You really need to go inside to appreciate the real beauty of the cauliflower. It has been given a very modern update and it is very tastefully done. When the Sydney Metro is running, with the station straight across the road from the pub, this will be a must on a Friday evening after work. I would recommend.

Cool looking pub with a nice upstairs/rooftop area. Food was average, got the fried chicken burger, parts of the chicken were a bit undercooked. Fries needed more salt. Decent portion size though.

Went on Sunday for the roast pork. It's was excellent, well cooked with crispy skin generous amount of vegetables, carrot pumpkin potatoes broccoli gravy. Highly recommend.

India was the rudest waitress I've ever come across. They lost my friend's dinner order and then tried to blame us and was very rude to us. My friend had been waiting for an hour and the rest of our party had been served and finished... she had been told 15 minutes earlier it was only going to be another 5 minutes. India's attitude was really unnecessary and she didn't offer to resolve the issue. They finally figured out it was their stuff up and my friend's order had been given to someone else. My friend was asked if she wanted a refund or if she wanted to order something else - she was very hungry so of course she ordered something else (though had to opt for a salad else she was going to have to wait another 30 minutes)... they didn't offer any refund (thankfully what she ordered was the same price else I expect they would have wanted her to cover any additional cost) ... we are still waiting to see if my friend gets her dinner this time.....

Not a bad place, music too loud (I don't get why bars play loud music, they aren't clubs, and it just makes people talk louder and thus make it harder to talk / hear, and as a result everyone talks even louder). Smoking area not well seperated from inside so it won't easy to escape.

The food is atrocious. My partner got food poisoning in the middle of the night and I am not feeling fine myself. Fried chicken tacos and fish tacos serviced cold (not room temperature but COLD) must have been sitting on the counter at least 20min after prep and delivery to table. I am 36 weeks pregnant and the food hygiene/safety is quite important!
The food has been getting worst and worst and they can't seem to get the orders right anytime we visit (once a week).

Great little gem in Waterloo, as a local, I will make sure to come by for a drink more regularly! The pub itself is really cool and they even have a rum/gin bar on the second floor, drinks are well priced and they have specials for food every night of the week. We just had drinks, but food looked really inviting and smelled great, will be back for that as well.

Don't be fooled by the exterior. The inside of this pub has a lovely atmosphere and staff are always pleasant. Be sure to check out the upstairs bar where I always inadvertently get on the rum when visiting my good friend.

My partner and I came in the other evening. The bartender was really helpful and polite (I think her name was Sophia?). She helped us select a delicious wine. The venue is charming and we had a great time, I think this will be our new local.

My new local is an absolute revelation. This pub isn't just 'cosy', it has a wild charm (particularly when you walk upstairs and are transported into some Central American circa East India-company era cocktail bar). The atmospherics are brilliant - but I haven't begun talking about the food.There's variety to be found here: the tacos are very very good (in particular beef and pork carnitas, and the absolutely NEXT LEVEL cauliflower taco). "Cauliflower taco?", I hear you say. Yes, it is indeed incredibly good - as is the Buffalo Cauliflower, a clever remix of Buffalo Wings. Absolutely binge-worthy. The burgers are outrageously generous and the chicken wings have proper Franks hot sauce and are succulent and tender. Perfection. The Cauliflower serves a competent parmi, but you're here for the other goods. Steer clear of the pepper sauce if you're getting it for chips - it's the one letdown (I always get pepper sauce at pubs because it's important - certainly not a dealbreaker for a venue, but does inform my future purchases).5 stars awarded for cool as venue and cocktails, plus amazing food variety and taste.

This is one the best local pubs Ive been to. Accessing it is quite easy as its walking distance to Redfern station and theres street parking if required. They have a gin bar with local (NSW) gin. The food is what surprises me about this place. It is yum! I had their Prawn and Chorizo pasta and couldnt believe it was pub food. Theyve got a lovely area upstairs and the place is quite spacious. They have Covid safe protocols in place
