Was there Friday night for dinner, the food was delicious.
Good service and fast.
I appreciate people singing but it was maybe a bit too loud we could barely talk to each other at the table.

Steak was cold like it came from the fridge to the table. The hamburger was completely raw in the middle, and the cabonara bowl was half full of oil.

I personally haven't spent a night at the Carra ~ (locals name for the Carrollee), but I've visited. Let's just say you get what you pay for staying at the pub hotel, but otherwise cosy & comfortable & affordable.
Staff are genuinely polite & helpful.
Pokie room is a little boring with no room at all to swing a cat, but you can take a seat & have a slap.

Music, dinner & drinks are responsible for freedom of choice & costs. Seating can be available indoors or outdoors, plenty of under cover area outside & ampol seats in the dining room, or if you wish to grab that dish & sit on in the main 🍸 bar then go for it.
Remember to be firm & direct when asking for how well you want your meat! Photo shows a dish of the 200g Rump Steak 'Well Done' 🥺 let's say my partner & I ate better over at the RSL.

Location is perfect if you rather let your feet do the walking. Main 2 banks (Commonwealth & NAB) right across the road with a chemist within reach diagonally across the road from them.
Westpac is to the right from the Post Office & across the road as you walk to the shopping mall where you can find a Newsagency, EB Games, Big W, Woolworths Supermarket, Best & Less, Prouds, Lowes, House, Telstra Shop, Strand Bags, a Barbers, a Butchers, Blooms Chemist, a shoe shop & few other handy stores for a quick bite to eat, or get your hearing or eyes tested.

Had dinner last night. They had a 2 piece band playing. The music was too loud and out of tune unfortunately. We ordered our meals and I got the bangers and mash special. I wish I took a photo of how sad it was. The sausages tasted like they have been cooked then steamed, the peas had no flavour but the saving grace was the mash potato. My daughter got the chicken burger. They used thigh meat which was undercooked in the middle. When we told them it was undercooked they explained "that's how the chicken thigh is meant to be cooked" we asked if they could redo as she didn't want to eat raw chicken.
They did recook and it came out perfect.
The waitress was helpful.

I went there for dinner last night at around 7:10 and ordered at 7:30 we got our food at 9:30-9:45. There was an issue with our food not being ordered properly but after they fixed that it still took another 45 minutes to get our food. My dad is a celiac and ordered food off the celiac menu but got given the regular not celiac friendly food. The staff were friendly and we got a round of free drinks but I'm unhappy with our experience.

The food was absolutely amazing. Steaks cooked perfectly. Cooked to perfection. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is very inviting and has a very fresh feel. Will most definitely be back

A bot shop surcharge to use Eftpos and a totally disgusting and rip off price for a bar drink ($18- a pint of CC and dry) leave a very bad taste. Meal & service was v good.

Meals are tasty and exceptional value for money. Decor is modern and stylish. Also good place to lay some bets.

We ordered 3 meals. Calamari tasted like it was undercooked. Rump steak was very chewy and chips were unsalted and not great. Carbonara sauce was watery and not very creamy.
Also thought most of it was overpriced for what it was.

Went for lunch between Christmas and New Year. Had their biggest burger. Fantastic. Nice and big, tasty and came served with chips.
Will definitely be back next time we are in town.

I ordered the Grilled Seafood Basket, the meal cost $42.90. It came with Cold and watery Grilled Barramundi, 2 Cold apparently Grilled Prawns and 2 Cold Calamari Pieces. As well as chips and salad. I admittedly did eat the two prawns as soon as the meal came out, because they were cold I then felt my Barramundi. It was watery cold and raw in places. I immediately took my meal back to the bar staff and asked for my money back. The young lady took it to the duty manager. Which then came back out with my meal. And said there was nothing wrong with it. I told her that the fish was raw. She then informed me they do not do refunds as the chef said it was hot when it was bought out and insinuated I left my meal for quite some time before I started eating. I told her I started eating as soon as the young lady had bought my meal out. She then took my meal back to the kitchen, returned without my meal and said that it was cold because of all the back and forth with my meal about my complaint. The duty manager was quite rude and unapologetic, and to be honest, had the Attitude that she couldn't care that I could have gotten sick from raw Barramundi and under cooked seafood in general. I have never been treated so poorly from someone in a customer service position. As we were walking out of the venue, the duty manager and the chef found it quite amusing.

Called in with family for a drink and lunchtime meal. Good service and the meals were great. The steak sandwich was ample and cooked well and the salt and pepper calamari was cooked just right. Friendly bar staff and the best thing, we could have our fur baby in the outdoor dinning area.

I would have given no stars if i could.. this place is a disgrace!. The place itself.. the set up.. decor and ambiance is really nice.. but that's where the positives stop!
Overcooked snitzel, recooked cooked prawns.. rude management and no accountability.. will never return or recommend.. disgraceful place.

As much as it's a nice place, the prices are what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant yet the meals are of $12 special quality. I ordered a parmi and chips which was nearly $30 and it was honestly one of the worst I've ever had. It's such a shame because it's such a nice place.

Overall was a good experience, only disappointing part was the price of the devilled chicken wings as a topper. For $8 you would expect 4 or 5 wings but the plate came out with just two ontop, $4 per wing that weren't overly meaty. But the service was great.

The pub is very nicely done up and is a pleasant place to be. Unfortunately the steak I ordered had alot if sinew and was like chewing bubblegum 😕 and the salad was dry and had no dressing on it, or even a side of dressing to put on it! I was disappointed 😞 but I'll try again another time give them one more chance. Maybe order something different. The lady across from the table from me also wasn't impressed with her meal.

Only stopped for a quick lunch. Had the lunch special which was generous but your basic pub meal. Main menu looked interesting so may try next time we visit. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Good food but there needs to be a room or area without football playing

Steaks were largely inedible, meals just thrown on to the plate. Comes down to the quality of the meat (very poor) and cooking methods. Very disappointing as we had read many positive reviews.

Soooooo over priced for what your actually getting, they've tried to make a 5 star fancy restaurant out in the country and charge like that. They need to have better training behind the bar, I usually ask for a vodka & Soda with a bit of lime, pretty simple as the ingredients are in the name of it and I got served sparkling water with a bit of lime couldn't taste any alcohol for $13 it was undrinkable, and I'm seriously not a fussy drinker but they couldn't understand what I was asking them to make?? I've been here many times and there's always an issue with the drinks because they just don't seem to know how to make them? It was my first time out to dinner in months and was looking forward to a good night, $150 for 2 meals and a few drinks for 2 people and a stressful night, sorry but I can't go there again.

This was my first visit since the pub was refurbished, it looks bright and clean compared to the old décor (although not sure why they kept a few random paintings on the wall, maintaining the traditional country pub kitsch with mismatched decorations?). The live musician was very good, but extremely loud. Most people in the dining area were either yelling over the music to be heard or not talking, which is not a pleasant atmosphere for dinner with friends. The food at our table was hit and miss - lamb salad was very heavy on the vinegar dressing, fish meal had too much pepper, lamb rump was excellent though. The food wasn't good enough to endure the deafening music again.

Lovely atmosphere and fantastic customer service. Our group was attending for a milestone celebration and was very well taken care of. A late change to the meals was even accepted after we had placed the order. Staff were not only courteous but also kind in their offers to assist with everything. Knowledgeable around the local area, and well versed in their drinks/ stock. A delight through and through.

Really good coffee, beautiful meal. Great staff, would highly recommend. 😀

Typical pub meal. Nothing to boast about but I've certainly had worse. The establishment is nice, staff are friendly. Bottle shop well stocked and good prices.

Have been in Kingaroy all week and tried various places for dinner but this place has the vibe, customer service and the food is great. Honestly the customer service is above and beyond. Normally hard to find but not here. Highly recommended if in Kingaroy!!!.

Absolutely love this pub !! What's not to love about an historic pub in an historical town?! The food is always sensational and the accommodation is clean and neat. Comfy beds and the balcony is great to kick back on after a 4 hour gig, to either wind down and watch the sun come up or just get ready to crash in the still of the night !! Love it here .. the staff and management are fabulous and always accommodating. They are top supporters of live music too and you can't beat that !! Absolute must if you're passing through Kingaroy.

Wonderful atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. Happy to host functions but has some trouble stopping people from walking through or trying to take food if your having a buffet. Other then that its a wonderful place to go eat and have a group gathering or party.

Second meal here in a weeknSteak sandwich tough and grisly. Grilled fish sweet lip dry and tough. That's it for me until they change their chef or get one

Had a shorthorn fillet steak the other day and it was mostly fat and gristle. When I asked the manager the question why the steak was like this rather than marbled as stated in the menu, he went on the defensive right away and dodged giving me a fair response. Other three members of our group had nice meals and the other staff at the bar was very friendly and polite. This manager should give up working with the public. Shame on him for bringing down an otherwise fantastic place.

Went to the Carrollee for my birthday, what a waste of time that was. Very disappointing. Food took for ever to come out my sons meal was cold had to be sent back, had to ask what was happening as it was taking so long to come out the staff member was rude and snapped at my son for asking. Had to ask another girl she got it sorted for us quickly. My meal should have had chips and salad with it, I say should have, no show on the chips and salad. My salmon was over cooked and dry. Never again guys will I will walk into the Carrollee pub again. You have lost me and my family.

The food was excellent. I had the salmon and my hubby had a steak. Very friendly staff. Love the refurbished surroundings. Definitely a place to go for a group or family lunch or dinner.
