We didn't need a room, we stayed with family. However, great, friendly place

Terrible service staff He looked down on us. Accused of making the bathroom dirty even though we didn't do it.

Great meals, large servings with lots of nice sides, heaps to choose from, really family friendly and staff are terrific. Once again a lovely delicious meal and great serving sizes.

The pork chops are a great buy. The meal was perfect.

Quaint old pub in the Harden main street, adjacent to the railway station.
The only surviving pub in this once thriving country town.

I find it to be a very nice place to go to and i will be back ther some days down the track

Stayed there, rooms were bare, no heating or fly screens.
Rooms had mould in them
Did some bathroom work whilst there and was never paid for the work done.
The Calloways who own the pub are a complete rip off, paid for all the stuff used off my own back and no remuneration

Great pub stopped in for a couple ended up having a great feed and stayed for a few more and caught the later train out. Thanks for the hospitality il b back when in harden next.

I don't understand the negative reviews about this pub, yes it is old, yes it does need a bit of work inside, but the kitchen staff are great and serve sensational pub food and the beer is cold and cheap. If your in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in for a cold beer and a great feed

alougth the meals were a great size, my first occasion I found hair all through my potatoes and chips after telling and showing I was only given a $10 discount off a $30 meal. this transaction in total was over $100. fast forward 4 days same amount of people same big order this time a meal was missed for a child once notices there was no apologies yes we got here before you close open until 2pm means your kitchen is running until 2 when we went to order at 1.30 we were told no vegies because they were about to close this is not what you would expect from a country pub

on a side note I was just abused in front of my 4 children and kicked and banned with 10 mins of this review being placed amazing hospitality

Stayed recently. What a mistake! I'm not surprised none of the reviews so far mention accommodation. Rooms were disgusting and amenities putrid. If you stay you'll need to take your own toilet seat and good luck trying to take a shower. Better off using public toilets. Beer was fine but staff were rude. They seem to treat the locals well but couldn't care less about the rest. Would not risk trying the food and had Chinese in a restaurant next door. While you're there say "hello" to Crystal. She'll introduce herself. She actually told me and a couple of mates her surname was Meth. Go figure.
