Jackie and the crew made my Dads 89th birthday a breeze and a happy time. Jackie goes above and beyond expectations. Food is fantastic, the kitchen crew are unreal, I could blather on?

I recently visited Carrington Bowling Club and had a mixed experience. The service was disappointingly slow, making it challenging to fully enjoy the evening. Additionally, the raffle caller's delivery seemed affected, sounding like she may have had a few drinks. This negatively impacted the overall atmosphere and enjoyment of the event.

Had a lovely New Years Eve. My grandsons can't stop talking about. We'll be back soon.

Went here for a 26th. Staff didn't seem to think it was a bowling club as a couple kids on the green kicking a ball took priority over a group of 20 adults paying for drinks. Seemed like a funny business model. Licensee greeted us herself, didn't seem like she wanted our company either through some passive aggressive remarks, even though we were incredibly polite to both staff and other patrons of the venue.

Wont be visiting again, cheers.

Our retired teachers group had a lunch here and the food was excellent and good value. The staff were very nice and helpful. Most lunches were around $20.

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of Newcastle I visited here hoping for breakfast. I just missed out, had a lovely macadamia slice instead as constellation, scooner was quite expensive at $12 but oh well.

My go-to place for a relaxed drink and delicious food. Wheelchair accessible. Good music. Great prices. Wonderful community resource.

Great food at modest prices, friendly staff and a wonderful casual vibe. Would like a more extensive wine list but with everything else it still deserves 5 stars.

Stopped in for lunch with extended family, even though the club is dated, the food and staff were exceptional. The kids and Hubby enjoyed barefoot bowls.

Great atmosphere food was good. Many beers to choose from. Friday afternoon work social bowls, they had a solo artist playing on the green. Staff were friendly. Would definitely visit again for a casual catch up with friends

A place full of so much character. Really great out door seating with large tables and umbrellas. Friendly staff and lots of area for kids to run around. Great for an afternoon beer. They dont stock VB but the staff were great with other recommendations.

My mate had a chicken parmi that looked magnificent, but couldn't take a photo, she ate too quick..Very friendly kitchen staff with a joke to boot. Service in the bar was friendly and enlightening, had a mad new release beer called Hazy Daze and it was fantabulous..so cloudy and Hoppy with fruit undertones.

One of the better clubs of Newcastle. Great price beer and food. Plenty of room for kids and dogs are allowed.

Great venue with good service, awesome selection of craft beer, dog friendly and an American style dinner. Personally I loved the outdoor picnic tables, live music and $15 jugs of craft beer when I came on a Sunday afternoon.

Excellent. Great place ... great atmosphere ... fab food. Super efficient staff ... feels like such a safe place to be. Loved it so much I joined!

Good food. Nice staff bar 1. Too long a wait. VERY slow. An extra barista and kitchen hand would ensure this business competes with newcastle's best. Good value.

One of the few bowlos to change over to craft beer! BBQ area and basic pub food. Sundays there are tables on one of the greens with DJ. All kids friendly and running around. Perfect.

Nice and friendly staff. Went in around 12:30pm on a Wednesday, was fairly quiet inside but had plenty of people having a game of lawn bowls. Has a nice sort of, almost, daggy 'Australiana' vibe.
I had to sign in which was a simple process.
I visited as an Architecture student for a lecture which the club was kind enough to allow us to do during their regular operating hours - taking full use of the microphone system and projector.
Also there is plenty of street parking.
Reasonable price for drinks, $7.90 for a Cooper Pale Ale schooner.

The food at the Carro is excellent. Never disappointed. The little dining room needs some TLC. Wouldn't take much effort, and the dining experience would be perfect.

Excellent venue caters for any thing, had a 3rd birthday and used the BBQ, easy access to everything, others had meals looked great. Plenty of novists playing bowls very entertaining.

Remarkably good food, including lots of gluten free options (even on pizza and burgers). Coffee is pretty good too. Super friendly and helpful staff, kitchen knows their stuff and answered dietary questions like ninjas. Very low key local vibe but a real hidden gem.

One of the best bowls clubs going around. Excellent food. Great variety of craft beers along with your mainstream. Sitting on the outdoor picnic tables on the greens is most enjoyable. The kids can also run wild on one of the greens.

Great atmosphere, kid friendly, fun music but super slow if you order a special. Food was yummy and better than an average pub/club. Recommend the pizza, chicken wings, kids chicken strips.
